Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System
Chapter 748 - 748: Uncle Drake [Bonus]The drake continued to stare at Kent for three whole minutes. However, while that is a long time to maintain his pressure, the half-elves soon began adapting to it. Kent noted this and could only smile inwardly.
The drake fought all kinds of internal battles, figuring out whether or not to attack. However, after a few more minutes, he withdrew his aura.
“You can leave. But be sure you don’t come back again, for I won’t be merciful next time.” With that, the drake turned to leave.
However, Kent didn’t allow him.
“You are looking to become a dragon, right? What if I can help you become one within a week?” The drake halted in his tracks and turned sharply to Kent, looking with eyes filled with fury.
“I have changed my mind. You all can die.” The drake started charging an attack.
“I know you are guarding the Sunlight Poison flower, hoping that by absorbing it, you will finally take the next step to becoming a dragon.
However, that won’t work. The flower is not strong enough to awaken the latent dragon blood in your system.
However, I have more than enough ways to give you what you want. I have a treasure that can help you. So killing me is a waste to you…”
The half-elves started sweating, showing they weren’t having a good time being under the killing intent of a being halfway to becoming a dragon, who, from the look of things, wouldn’t pale in comparison to someone like the Crystal Dragon King.
Being under the pressure of the drake was manageable, but his aura filled with killing intent wasn’t one they could handle. However, standing behind Kent also made them feel like they still had a lifeline.
And they did. The drake felt the sincerity in Kent’s words, so the attack never came. But the aura remained.
“Are you playing with me, boy?” the drake asked, but Kent shook his head like the boy he was. Looking at the imposing height of the drake, Kent was barely an ant before him.
“I don’t lie, Uncle Drake. I am the most sincere person you will ever meet.” Kent took a Spirit Grape Fruit and threw it at the drake, who caught it.
“I know you are knowledgeable, so you can tell what that is. Even if you don’t know its name, you can feel the energy it contains. So tell me, do you believe I have what it takes to make you a dragon?”
It wasn’t a matter of whether he had the means or not.
The drake was present when the Spirit Grapefruit was auctioned many years ago. He caught wind of it and knew that something of such value was something he could use. However, back then, he couldn’t do much because he wasn’t privileged like most were.
It was that frustration that drove him to the Flame Valley, and luckily for him, he managed to locate the flower that he had been guarding for the past 300 years.
Many came after it but met a rather agonizing end.
But today, Uncle Drake wasn’t in the right mindset to attack, for he was offered something he wanted, something he had been looking for ever since he sensed a trace of dragon blood in his body.
This also meant that if he wanted to take that step, he had to trust Kent. But the question now was whether Kent was trustworthy.
Thankfully, Kent had the means to help him, for the tower had already made him aware of what had to be done.
“Look, I would be lying if I said my coming here is noble. I came here for the flower you are guarding with the intent to take it, regardless of who is protecting it. This means I came here to kill you.
And before you think it, know that I do have the means to kill you. I can kill you in two moves: the first to dismantle your defense and the next to behead you. Of course, I can also command you to die, and you will obey.
However, the moment I set my sight on you, I knew we were destined to meet. That is why I will spare you. That said, you becoming a dragon is something I want, so why don’t we sit down and talk it over?
By the way, I am Kent.”
It was a subtle way of threatening someone without making it look obvious. Kent made sure the drake knew the odds and why he wouldn’t be enforcing them. But then again, he had done it for his own conscience.
This way, if the drake were the kind who couldn’t be reasoned with, he would attack, and Kent would have to kill him and then evolve him when he becomes Veera’s or Yi Lai’s undead soldier.
Either way, he would get what he wanted. So there was no loss for him in this scenario.
“Follow me.”
Kent smiled and flew after the drake, who landed atop the towering mountain. The half-elves followed him, and soon they were standing inside a lava pool.
Kent felt his resistance rising just by being there, and while he was sure the flame energy here was strong, he knew that raising his resistance too high would either take time or be impossible.
Sitting at the center of this lava pool was a red flower radiating both infernal energy and poison essence. Kent sensed he could use this flower to feed his soul flame instead, because while he wasn’t even close to it, his soul flame was already eager to devour it.
He knew one way or another, he would be getting the flower.
They sat down, and the drake stared at Kent as if wanting to devour him. Kent just smiled while his companions tensed. Of course, Kent knew what he wanted was already in the bag, so he relaxed.
“Eat the fruit I gave you, and absorb the energy. It should take less than 30 minutes for the energy to be absorbed into your body.
We will continue after you are done.” Uncle Drake looked at Kent for a few seconds, then threw the grape into his mouth and ate it.
A few seconds after consuming the fruit, his soul, which had been at the peak of the Tier 11 stage, broke through to the 12th Tier.
This shocked the drake greatly, but he continued to absorb the remaining energy for twenty minutes before he opened his eyes.
“You are almost there, but first, why don’t we take care of something vital?”
