It was also said that even if an emperor was chasing after them, the moment they entered the temple, the 14 knights would not allow anyone to harm them.

They were that monstrous.

This temple is the gateway to the Realm of the Lost, a secret realm said to have originated in the primordial era and is protected by the Mother.

She welcomes her children and ensures they are shielded from harm.

However, over time, the Lost Children began to grow into powerhouses, and as a result, the various races opposed to these abominations grew uneasy.

So, the ancient Vampires, known as the Creatures of the Night, launched an attack, and the sympathizers of the abominations retaliated.

The war, which initially had no name, quickly became known as the Sanguine War. It was said that the more death and destruction there was, the stronger the Creatures of the Night became.

Blood was their weapon, and as more died, they grew unstoppable.

It was said that when they reached the Temple of Sabatan, they were like supreme warriors bathed in blood. However, the last stand against them was the 14 guardians, whose origins and nature remained a mystery.

It was said that each guardian slew 6,666 Creatures of the Night, but there were simply too many. In a final, desperate effort, they used their life essence to seal the Realm of the Lost.⟫

Akira and Kent looked at the metal knight, and smiles appeared on their faces.

“I’ll do that, Akira,” Kent said, his gaze fixed on the knight before him.

“Kaizo, you have a partner to train with,” Kent announced, prompting Kaizo, who was punching a dummy, to grin. Kent smirked and then issued a command to the knight.

“Don’t kill him too many times. I don’t want him traumatized.”

Veydris turned to face the brute, then vanished and reappeared inside an arena Akira had built for Kaizo to train in.

⟪He’s going to traumatize him,⟫ Akira remarked.

“I know. But I’ll just cheer him up when we go back out there. We’ll do some dungeon runs to bring back his lost spirit,” Kent smiled.

⟪It’s all coming together, Master. Very soon, you will understand the importance of this tower and how best to utilize it. Just keep going. Gaia and I are always available to help.⟫

“It warms my heart to hear that, Akira. I’ll be sure to ask for her help when and if I need it.”

⟪One last thing. Saden and her teammates arrived a month ago. It seems they’ve killed everyone linked to the slave business the Malric were running.

They even went as far as hunting down those who bought slaves from them and eliminating everyone.
