Chapter 1394: Chapter 1391: Coaxing Someone

Ye Muyu didn’t know what he was thinking and honestly answered.

Chu Heng felt comforted inside but did not show it on his face. Instead, he continued to pester her by asking, “So, who do you want more, Nuanbao or me?”

Ye Muyu couldn’t help but let out a light laugh due to his whiny tone.

Hiss…

Extreme joy begets sorrow. As soon as she finished laughing, a stabbing pain came from her neck.

She had been bitten by a dog!

“Chu Heng, why did you bite me?” Ye Muyu protested angrily, trying to push him away, but Chu Heng cleverly resisted, making it impossible for her to push him off.

Ye Muyu struggled to turn around, facing him out of breath, hands cupping his face, and said in a stern voice, “Bite me again, and I’ll ignore you.”

Chu Heng’s eyes darkened, and he felt a hollow in his heart. His anger peaked, and he leaned in to swallow all her words.

After a bit of a rummage, Chu Heng’s voice was faint as he asked, “Will you still say things like ignoring me?”

“No… won’t say it,” Ye Muyu’s cheeks flushed, and her lips hurt with every movement. She was somewhat aggrieved, not understanding how her little joke had made him so angry.

Chu Heng reached out to touch her ear, closed his eyes with a serious expression, “Ah Yu, I can’t bear to hear you talk about leaving me, don’t say that again, be good.”

Only then did Ye Muyu realize the fear hidden in his voice, and she felt a bit regretful.

She quickly hugged him and patted his shoulder, “Alright, don’t be angry, I was just joking with you. I wish I could shrink you down and carry you in my pocket; how could I bear to ignore you?”

“Really?” Chu Heng opened his eyes, and his slightly reddened eyes made him look vulnerable.

“Of course.” Ye Muyu raised three fingers, “I promise you.”

Seeing Chu Heng remained silent, Ye Muyu helplessly looked up and gave him a kiss on the lips.

She poked his cheek, “Come on, smile. Don’t let Nuanbao see you like this, he’ll laugh at you later.”

Chu Heng raised an eyebrow, “He wouldn’t dare.”

Ye Muyu, seeing his proud demeanor, couldn’t help laughing, “Ah Heng, I never thought you’d be jealous of Nuanbao, your own son.”

“Even if he’s my son, that’s not allowed.” Chu Heng glanced at his foolish son who was already asleep next to him, “You are mine, he has his own wife, no reason to snatch mine.”

Ye Muyu burst into laughter once again, unable to resist.

“Nuanbao is still young, and you’re already thinking about him getting a wife,” said Ye Muyu amusingly, tears of laughter in her eyes as she watched Chu Heng’s serious demeanor.

Chu Heng let her laugh, sitting quietly by her side.

Ye Muyu grew curious, “Back when Nuanbao wasn’t born yet, didn’t you read books to him and teach him lessons? How come now that the kid’s here and so cute, you’re already finding fault with him?”

“I’m not finding fault.” Chu Heng was already reading a book, “At first, I thought it would be a girl.”

Ye Muyu also sat up, straightened her clothes, crossed her legs, and began tidying up the scattered toys, glancing at him, “You even find fault with his gender, yet you say you’re not.”

Chu Heng closed his book, lay on his side, and watched her, “A son is good too, he can protect you when he grows up.”

“Although we aren’t fated to have another daughter, I’m content.”

Ye Muyu had already decided not to have more children. Having Nuanbao was risky enough; for the sake of her well-being, it was better to stop the baby-making plans, especially since there were already enough kids at home.

“You really don’t have anything to do this afternoon?” Ye Muyu confirmed once more.
