“Daughter-in-law will go do that now,” said Madam Zhang as she quickly entered the kitchen.

He coughed softly, lowering his voice to ask, “Second Housekeeper, how is the business in the shop today? It seems as if the goods are all fully stocked.”

“The elder master is mistaken,” the Second Housekeeper immediately understood what he was implying and explained with a smile: “The young master ordered that as soon as goods are sold, they be replaced with new stock, ensuring that we always appear fully stocked.”
