Chapter 2515: Argento Sewers III

“It is a large reptile! Run, boy! You cannot take that down on your own for now.” Teacher Helsing shouted but the Young Prince Alucred did not run.

The Young Prince Alucred braced for impact and steadied his hand. He was not going to cower in front of a large monster just as he did before. He gripped his short sword tightly and was about to plunge it towards the large reptile monster that looked like a crocodile, but it suddenly stopped. The large reptilian monster suddenly froze before him.

The Young Prince Alucred thought that the monster was just trying to test him or something but then he looked at its eyes. The eyes of the reptilian monster were dead as it no longer moved or reacted. It was then that the Young Prince Alucred noticed another presence behind the reptilian monster cloaked in shadows. A large wolf made of shadows looked at the Young Prince Alucred with curiosity.

“Get back you, foul beast!” Teacher Helsing shouted as it tried to swing its imaginary ghost sword towards the large wolf, but it just passes through it.

“Teacher Helsing… you are not alive to protect me though.” The Young Prince Alucred stated.

“It is the thought that counts.” Teacher Helsing stated.

“Sirius, why did you suddenly stop?” A voice suddenly came from behind the large wolf and the Young Prince Alucred saw that very being.

Adrian went near Sirius and found a child in the sewers which greatly shocked him. He also found a strange entity with the child as it seems to be possessing the locket he is wearing. He examined the child and immediately remembered the face of the child that was heavily guarded earlier.

“What is a prince doing in the sewers of his own kingdom?” Adrian asked as he stared at the Young Prince Alucred.

“Get back, demon!” Teacher Helsing stated.

“Teacher… only I could see and hear you, but he is a demon!” The Young Prince Alucred stated.

“Yes, I am a demon. And also yes, I can see and hear you as well. Why is a ghost possessing a trinket escorting a young child to the sewers? Depending on your answer, I might purify you from that very locket.” Adrian stated as he released death energy which made Teacher Helsing flinch and hide behind the Young Prince Alucred.

“He reeks of death!” Teacher Helsing stated.

“I should be as I am the Champion of the Twin Gods.” Adrian stated which made the Young Prince Alucred suddenly look at him with eyes full of admiration.

“You! You are the great hero! The one that stopped the angels and the one that led the heroes to defeat the Primordial Beasts of Sin! You even performed a miracle that revived them from death!” The Young Prince Alucred stated with great vigor as he seems to be a fan of Adrian.

“Hey! Your teacher is great too! I killed hordes of evil vampires when I was alive!” Teacher Helsing stated in protest, but the Young Prince Alucred was too focused on Adrian.

“This is a first. I never thought an NPC outside of my own territory would actually look up to me like I am a hero.” Adrian thought as he looked at the excited expression of the Young Prince Alucred.

“I am flattered that you know of me, but this is not a place where a child should wander. There are vampires hiding in these sewers and they could easily kill you if you are found by them. You should call it lucky that I was the one that found you. Tell me the coordinates of your room then I will send you back there in an instant.” Adrian stated.

“NO!” The Young Prince Alucred protested as he began to narrate the story of why he came to the sewers to Adrian.

“I sympathize with your predicament but the way you went about it is wrong. It is reckless to suddenly charge towards the sewers without sufficient preparation. You ghost teacher cannot help you as he looks like he only has a few years clinging on that locket before he goes to the afterlife.

You could have acted spoiled and told them you accidentally dropped your favorite toy in the sewers and want them to fetch it for you. They would have sent a team to investigate and then they might encounter the vampires. Going in yourself is just pure recklessness.” Adrian advised the Young Prince Alucred.

“Sorry. I did not think of that.” The Young Prince Alucred stated looking a bit sorry.

“And you, wandering soul! You are his teacher! You should have told him to not be reckless! You should have sat him down and thought of a better plan! You must have died because of that stubbornness of yours.” Adrian reprimanded Teacher Helsing.

“My colleagues did say that I was very stubborn and hot headed back then. I died fighting a hundred thousand horde of vampires from what I could last remember.” Teacher Helsing stated with an apologetic expression.

“I would have hit you but then you might dissipate or self-destruct entirely.” Adrian stated.

“You can also hit souls!” The Young Prince Alucred stated with his eyes twinkling.

“I can as I have authority over the dead. I will not do that though as your teacher is not an ordinary ghost.” Adrian stated as he could feel the blessing of a god of death coating the locket which is why the ghost of Teacher Helsing has yet to vanish.

“How can you say that teacher is not an ordinary ghost?” The Young Prince Alucred asked.

“Your teacher is blessed by a divine being, but that blessing is also running out. It seems he only got attached because he wanted a dying wish that he could not complete. Seeing you… I think I know what that dying wish is. Anyways, you should return back to the surface as this place is incredibly dangerous.” Adrian stated.

“No! I can help you!” The Young Prince Alucred confidently stated.
