Chapter 6122 Sovereign Fall Land

Chapter 6122 Sovereign Fall Land

BOOM!

Long Chen’s aura grew explosively, and Emperor qi erupted out of him.

“The second Heavenstage!” he exclaimed.

Clenching his fist, Long Chen felt the explosive power flowing through his body. He had consumed over two hundred Human Emperor Pills to reach the second Heavenstage of the Human Emperor realm. The transformation was immediate and overwhelming.

After the breakthrough, his presence became even more domineering. This wasn’t like training his physical body with the silver rods’ weight runes, a gradual and grueling process. This was a clean breakthrough—one that elevated every aspect of his strength to a new level.

Long Chen instantly activated two silver rods. With a few strikes, the void quaked and swayed under his blows. Although he couldn’t say that it was effortless, two silver rods could no longer pose much resistance.

This was the result of a breakthrough—a complete advancement of all aspects that elevated a person to a new height.

“You should seize the momentum while it lasts,” the Earth Cauldron advised.

Long Chen nodded.

Back in the Four Cardinal Alliance, he had seen many young Human Emperors already pushing toward the mid stage of the realm. Some were nearing the sixth Heavenstage, a step away from the late stage.

The transformation of the world had spurred all cultivation forward at terrifying speeds. Compared to them, Long Chen’s progress was slow. If he didn’t press forward, he would be left behind.

“Gate of Life—Open!” Long Chen shouted.

Just as he had expected, his physical body was strong enough to endure the flood of astral energy pouring out from the gate.

Astral energy continuously poured out of the Life Gate into his body. But after a few breaths, Long Chen had to shut it.

Without a battle, there was nowhere for that energy to go. As Long Chen’s body still couldn’t hold such vast astral power for long, it needed to be released in combat.

Still, he had no doubt. Against an ordinary third Heavenstage Sovereign Lord, he could now hold his ground—or even win.

Only against monsters like the one who once battled Long Zhantian would things become uncertain. But even then, he was confident he could escape alive.

His odds of survival had drastically improved, and that brought with it a quiet, fierce confidence.

Just then, a jade plate at his waist began flashing urgently.

“Qian Duoduo?” Long Chen was startled.

This jade plate was a one-way line to Qian Duoduo, who had carefully embedded himself deep within the Soaring Dragon Company. Long Chen had told him never to contact him unless it was something critical.

After all, any mistake could blow Qian Duoduo’s cover and bring danger to him.

Activating the jade, Long Chen read a short message and saw a glowing marker on a map.

“Xiaoqian is in trouble…”

His thoughts buzzed. Qian Duoduo was meticulous and never acted carelessly. The fact that he only left this cryptic message meant the situation was truly dire.

“Senior, I need your help!”

Long Chen interrupted the Earth Cauldron’s ongoing refinement. Sensing the urgency, the Earth Cauldron responded without complaint.

After that, Long Chen pointed in the direction of the signal, and divine light from the Earth Cauldron quickly enveloped him.

In the next instant—they vanished.

This was a broken world.

Mountains lay collapsed, and scorched valleys split the land. Cracks veined the earth like spiderwebs of destruction. During the primal chaos war, countless unmatched experts had fallen here.

Even now, the mountains bore hues not found in the natural world, painted by the blood of Sovereigns. Rivers sparkled with strange divine light, and even after countless eras, the colors had not faded.

This place was known as the Sovereign Fall Land—a name that spoke of the carnage that once occurred here. It was said that not just Sovereign Lords, but even Divine Sovereigns had perished on this land.

This was a land of treasures and dangers.

Many divine weapons were hidden within the mountains and ravines. With the nourishment of Sovereign blood, the vegetation gained spirituality, giving birth to rare divine medicines.

But with opportunity came terror.

Beasts and devils who had fed on Sovereign blood and survived became unspeakably powerful. For them, even Divine Emperors were prey.

As a result, Sovereign Fall Land was usually deserted. Though it held wonders, few dared to test their fate. Most who entered were never seen again.

This place had been a sacred land that appeared once every several million years. It had another name but was now long forgotten. With survival rates so low, no one bothered remembering it.

Thus, Sovereign Fall Land wasn’t particularly famous amongst the many secret realms of the nine heavens.

After the restoration of heaven and earth, the Sovereign Fall Land tore through spatial walls and reappeared in the nine heavens.

Its appearance immediately attracted countless treasure hunters. Dreams of divine artifacts lured them over.

But reality was cruel.

After scouting the outer region, they didn’t encounter much danger. Quite a few cultivators secured ancient treasures from the primal chaos era without much trouble.

However, as their guts grew, they started going deeper. They disturbed something that should have remained buried.

A horde of Heavenly Flame Devil Ants was roused.

These ants were a mutated species from the primal chaos era. Most were the size of wild dogs, but their queen was as large as a bull. Their pincers were incredibly tough, comparable to Sovereign weapons. As for the queen, she could crush Sovereign weapons with brute force alone.

This terrifying species had long been thought extinct within the nine heavens, their existence limited to myths. But when they appeared in Sovereign Fall Land, it was as if those ancient nightmares had been given flesh once more.

On that day, the skies darkened as the ants swarmed. They butchered every soul who had dared set foot within the Sovereign Fall Land.

But their carnage didn’t end there.

Some lucky survivors managed to flee, but the Heavenly Flame Devil Ants pursued them relentlessly, following them back to their sects.

And then… they annihilated them.

These ants didn’t just rely on their physical might—they could spit terrifying flames. One of the destroyed had been protected by a third Heavenstage Sovereign Lord, yet it was still reduced to ashes.

From that day onward, Sovereign Fall Land became a forbidden zone.

Very few dared to set foot there again. And with the recent restoration of spiritual qi, cultivators had entered a golden age. Most chose to focus on advancing their realms, putting off risky treasure hunts for the future.

Sovereign Fall Land could wait.

But today, that silence was broken. The skies above this cursed land teemed with life. Cultivators streaked through the air in every direction, their auras blazing.

“Quick, quick! They’ve discovered the tracks of the original devil race!” someone shouted, excitement boiling in their voice. “We need to get some kills while we can! One head’s worth a Human Emperor Pill!”

The speaker held a glowing jade tablet and waved others forward toward a massive gate carved into the landscape.

Just then, a cold voice cut through the air.

“Where are they?”

The shouting cultivator turned, irritation flashing in his eyes. “Our Golden Tiger race discovered them first. Why should I tell y—”

He stopped.

When he saw whom he was speaking to, his expression completely changed.
