“Hokage, how did your investigation go?”

In the Allied Shinobi Forces’ command tent, the Fourth Raikage asked Nawaki.

“Shin won’t interfere with us. As for what he’s planning, I don’t know,” Nawaki replied to the Fourth Raikage.

“He won’t move against ‘you’. But against us… that’s another story,” Ōnoki said with a sarcastic tone.

Suddenly—

“Oh? Ōnoki, do you have a problem with me? I’m right here. If you have an issue, you can say it to my face.”

Shin suddenly appeared in the command tent with his companions, looking at Ōnoki with an impassive expression.

Ōnoki’s body trembled. He hadn’t expected Shin Uzumaki to show up…

Facing Shin, Ōnoki had the right to remain silent—though proud, silence was the best option right now…

“Shin Uzumaki…”

Seeing Shin, the Fourth Raikage couldn’t help but clench his fists. Eventually, he reluctantly relaxed them—

—What was the use of hatred? He didn’t have the strength for revenge. Over the years, his strength hadn’t improved much; it felt like he had reached his limit.

Against Shin Uzumaki, he was completely outmatched!

So, under the suppression of his reason, the Fourth Raikage didn’t attack. But he wouldn’t forget his father’s death

If an opportunity ever arose, he would definitely seek revenge.

Shin sensed the Fourth Raikage’s hatred but ignored it completely. In Shin’s eyes, the Fourth Raikage’s strength was no greater than an ant’s. He could kill him with a single punch, without even using Ninjutsu.

———

“Big sister? What are you doing here?” Nawaki looked at Tsunade, on the verge of tears.

“What? Am I not welcome?” Tsunade asked Nawaki, her expression unfriendly.

What could he do?

Could he say she wasn’t welcome? Even if he had the guts—he wouldn’t dare say that. Otherwise, he’d be met with Tsunade’s fist.

Few could withstand Tsunade’s punch, especially against her own younger brother. She probably wouldn’t hold back.

Shin had brought all the women with him this time: Kushina, Tsunade, Mikoto, Konan, Mei Terumī, Hinata, and Hanabi.

Hiashi Hyūga looked at Hinata and Hanabi, his heart stirring with emotion. He hadn’t seen his daughters in so long.

Hanabi glanced at the emotional Hiashi, then turned her head away, completely ignoring him.

This was understandable…

Hanabi still held a deep resentment towards Hiashi for remarrying shortly after their mother’s death.

Hiashi could only smile wryly. He had his reasons for remarrying. He had wanted a son. And now, his wish had been granted. His son had been born—Hinata and Hanabi’s younger brother. Though Hinata and Hanabi didn’t know yet.

Even Shin didn’t know, let alone Hinata and Hanabi. Shin hadn’t paid any attention to Hiashi’s affairs.

“Shin Uzumaki, what is your purpose here?” the Fourth Raikage, A, asked.

“Are you worried I’ll attack you?” Shin looked at the wary Fourth Raikage with a disdainful smile.

“If I really wanted to attack you, you’d all be corpses by now. Or not even corpses.”

The Fourth Raikage’s face turned grim. Though he knew Shin was telling the truth, hearing it from Shin’s mouth still made him incredibly unhappy.

But what could he do? He could only swallow his pride. Shin was too strong.

“Shin, can you tell us what you’re planning?”

Nawaki asked Shin.

“Relax. We’re just here to watch the show,” Shin replied with a smile.

Nawaki was bewildered. ‘We’re about to engage in a serious, tense war, and you’re here to watch the show??’

‘So, with great power comes great whimsy?’ Nawaki couldn’t say anything.

The Fourth Raikage breathed a sigh of relief. Shin Uzumaki probably had no need to lie to them. As long as he just watched and didn’t interfere, that was fine.

If he really ‘did’ interfere, they wouldn’t be able to handle it. Who knew how strong Shin Uzumaki truly was?

When he was young, he had the strength to easily defeat several Kage-level opponents working together. Now, his strength was likely unimaginable—

—To this day, no one had been able to force Shin to use his full power. No one knew the extent of his strength… Even Shin himself didn’t know how strong he was at full power; he had no opponent to test it against.

As for testing his own strength… that was the act of a destroyer. His powerful Ninjutsu could annihilate an island.

There weren’t enough islands for Shin to practice on. And he had already sunk more than one or two.

———

Shin and his companions stayed there, eating and drinking, watching the battle.

The Allied Shinobi Forces and the Akatsuki’s White Zetsu army had already clashed. The Allied Shinobi Forces had even changed their forehead protectors. The original village symbols were replaced with a unified “Shinobi” character.

This was to foster unity among the forces, who came from different villages and held grudges against each other.

A unified forehead protector helped bridge the gap between them.

As for what would happen later, it was hard to say. But for now, the most important thing was to deal with the Akatsuki and stop the Eye of the Moon Plan.

Though the ten thousand White Zetsu army seemed numerous, their individual strength was not high.

To an elite Jonin, White Zetsu were basically cannon fodder.

However, most of the ninja in the Allied Shinobi Forces weren’t very strong either. Jonin were a minority—

—The White Zetsu army was weak individually, but they had many tricks up their sleeves, such as merging together.

Several White Zetsu could merge to form a giant, pitcher plant-like creature with considerable combat strength.

Another of White Zetsu’s abilities was the Flawless Transformation, a transformation jutsu. Unlike a normal transformation jutsu, after absorbing someone’s chakra, it could transform into that person with the same chakra, allowing it to infiltrate the Allied Shinobi Forces.

This kind of transformation was very difficult to detect—

—Even experienced elite Jonin couldn’t see through it. In terms of transformation jutsu, White Zetsu was arguably the best in the entire Shinobi world.

Right now, the Allied Shinobi Forces’ biggest headache was the White Zetsu’s Flawless Transformation. After transforming, they were undetectable—even the chakra they used was the same as the original person’s.

In this situation, how could they be distinguished?

With no way to differentiate, not only were they suffering heavy losses from the White Zetsu army’s frontal assault, but they were also plagued by internal paranoia.

At this point, they had to be wary not only of the White Zetsu but also of the ninja transformed from White Zetsu. You could be stabbed in the back by an ally at any moment. It was impossible to guard against.
