It was hard for Gary to ever get mad at Kai. Whenever he did things, it did seem to be with thinking about others, thinking about the city, and what was best for the gang.
The issue was that it was Gary that had to make the choice based on Kai’s suggestions. The one that would be doing the changes was him.
Although others could turn people, Gary was only sure that his Alpha Bite would have the 99.9 percent chance of success.
Although that percentage was near perfect, it wasn’t the fact that someone might die, but changing their lives altogether.
“Gary, I’m going to try to make you not worry as much as possible about this,” Kai explained. “On top of that, I’ll tell you all the reasons why I think we should do this. At the end of the day, I believe in your choice, because without you, we wouldn’t have gotten this far, and there are some things that I have done wrong myself where you have corrected as well.”
Gary wanted to say the same thing to Kai. Without him, the whole of the Howlers wouldn’t have gotten that far either.
The least he could do was hear him out.
“First, all of the notebooks I have provided them are the Pack rules. It explained to them what they would go through, what they would become, and how important it is to keep all of this information secret.”
“So everyone here is aware of what can happen, while knowing full well to not abuse their power. So that’s the first thing you don’t need to worry about. Now, you might be thinking about the why?”
“Altered solutions are almost impossible to get a hold of now. Nearly every facility around the world has stopped production due to the protests, the regulations, and more. However, our opponent is not an Altered. They don’t have the same morals as us and have been building a large group that we might have to go up against.”
“There are three scenarios where we can have great use for them. Firstly, my plan is to turn them now, and while we are away, this group will be at AJ Entertainment.”
“They won’t be staying in Slough. While at AJ Entertainment, they will undergo training and learning how to use their new forms.”
“We need this time so they can become good fighters and be helpful to us. Unlike the rush of a mess we had last time. This force will be unknown to the Lupus gang and any other group.”
“Scenario one is that the Lupus Gang decides to attack us while we are away. The large force we have will be a surprise for them to hold them back.”
“Scenario two is probably the worst case, but we are attacked on the night of the full moon. If that happens, the group is useless as much as we are, but only for one day. If we can somehow survive, then the secret force will be a special card to turn the tides.”
“Third, after the night of the full moon, we can attack the Lupus gang with full force and have no regrets. By then, Xin will have become a Luna, and we will also reap those benefits. Things are different to what they were before.”
“In the past, none of the Kings acted, including Lupus, and there was a good reason for that. You know how strong Harvor and Sin were, and the influence Bree has. Although Lupus might be confident he could win against any of them, there was always the fear that they might get attacked from behind or by someone else. We don’t have that fear now, with the only King being Bree, and she being our ally.”
Kai had made his point loud and clear, and even though Gary wanted to have an argument as to why they shouldn’t do this, he had decided that it actually was the best thing to do, and the only sensible thing to do.
To not put all hopes on this plan with the vampires.
“Kai… I’ll do it, this is going to be a long morning for me… but I trust your judgment, and trust that you’ve thought this through,” Gary said with a smile.
He then walked forward to the first person in the group, as he gave out a big sigh.
The first person had even bared his neck towards Gary.
“Hey, hey, I’m not a vampire, I’m not going to dig into you like I enjoy this,” Gary complained. “Everyone just hold out your arm, and I’ll give you a bite there, let’s not make this weirder than it is.”
It had taken a long time to go through the process. Of Gary biting every single individual, of seeing their veins pop and bulge and their strange feeling a person felt once they had been turned.
Thankfully, after going through all one hundred and fifty people there, there wasn’t a single one with a problem.
Not a single one had perished. In a lot of ways, as Gary looked at the room, he imagined every single one of them fully transformed in their werewolf form.
“It was that easy to do, to create an army of Werewolves just like that?” Gary said.
“Exactly,” Kai said. “And think about it, that’s exactly the same for Lupus as well. I hope this works out with the Altered Hunters.”
“But we always have to prepare for the worst.”
Gary started to wonder about one thing, turning everyone he had gotten a large amount of pawn points, and every werewolf was now available in his system.
The best thing to do was to max out everyone if they could be increased that were strong and close to him, then to go ahead with the now large army they had.
“Kai, are you okay?” Gary asked, as he noticed Kai grabbing onto his wrist.
“Yeah… I just feel a bit strange.” Kai knew what it was. There was a special effect of his special class. The more Werewolves he was around, the stronger his power got, and it had increased exponentially in the current room they were in.
“Come on, let’s head back to the Wolf’s Pool Club,” Kai said. “These guys will head to AJ Entertainment. We have some Hunters to meet up with.”
