“It’s quite nice for a child not to grow up,” Xu Fan said, looking at the carefree kid.

“Indeed, the Primal Lord instructed specially that, barring any unusual circumstances, these reincarnations of esteemed Sages from the Human Clan should remain children as long as they can,” Senior Huangshan said.

Just as Xu Fan was about to take leave of Senior Huangshan, he suddenly suggested, “If you want to communicate with those wild, Chaotic Refinery Master Demons…”

“You can visit the shattered world which the Primal Lord took you to last time. There, wild Chaos Gods and Demons would occasionally accept assignments.”

“The price is fair, but their methods are rather crude. The Primordial Treasures they refine can barely be considered sturdy and durable.”

“Thanks for the advice, Senior Huangshan,” Xu Fan nodded and left.

At this point, Xu Fan regretted a little, wishing he had sent an avatar instead.

Now there’s no one around to do the work, and business opportunities are missed.

In Xu Fan’s small courtyard within the Hidden Spirit Sect.

“So you finally decided to come back,” Xu Fan amusingly said to Xu Yuexian, who had been away for several years.

“Didn’t I miss my Master? I happened to find something interesting and came to give it to you,” said Xu Yuexian, producing a mini stove from her hand.

“Interesting, it’s an Innate Spirit Treasure from the Culinary Path, quite astounding.” Xu Fan remarked, taking the mini stove with a hint of surprise.

With a gentle wave of his hand, the mini stove enlarged, appearing in Xu Fan’s small courtyard.

Xu Fan then turned his attention to the Spirit Vegetable Garden at the foot of the mountain, a garden specifically supplying vegetables for the Sect’s Dining Hall.

With a gentle wave of his hand, a ripe Immortal Jade Cabbage separated itself from the garden and flew towards Xu Fan.

Guided by Xu Fan, the Immortal Jade Cabbage flew into the stove.

A fire immediately started beneath the stove. After a short while, a dish of stir-fried cabbage, brimming with an enticing aroma, appeared in front of the two.

‘An Innate Spirit Treasure condensed by the Culinary Path in the Three Thousand Realms, it truly is extraordinary.’

Xu Yuexian placed the plate of stir-fried cabbage on the table next to Xu Fan.

Xu Fan took out two pairs of chopsticks, passing one to Xu Yuexian.

The mentor and the disciple started to taste the stir-fried cabbage.

“Not bad, the flavor has reached an ultimate state. Even if the two disciples of the Culinary Path in our sect cooked this dish, they wouldn’t do any better.” Xu Fan nodded in satisfaction.

“The Spirit Treasure you found is quite good,” Xu Fan expressed with a satisfied nod.

“I’m simply doing my part for my Master and the Sect.” Xu Yuexian responded with a smile.

Not quite done, Xu Yuexian began stuffing various ingredients into the stove eagerly.

Soon, a variety of exquisite dishes could be seen atop the stove.

The next day, the disciples who came to the Sect’s Dining Hall for a meal were surprised to find the dishes vastly improved in taste.

One of the disciples specialized in the Culinary Path even specifically searched for the head chef of the Dining Hall.

“Chef Fan, who cooked today’s dishes? They surely aren’t your doing,” the culinary disciple remarked.

“Of course dishes of such caliber were not prepared by me.” Chef Fan pointed towards the central stove of the kitchen, looking a little anxious, and added, “This is a Primordial Spirit Treasure, the Culinary Stove gifted by the Great Master.”

“Just shove any ingredient in, and it becomes a range of delicious dishes.”

Chef Fan had a feeling that his job might be in jeopardy.

That culinary disciple placed his hand curiously on the Primordial Culinary Stove and suddenly felt like he had received some sort of inheritance, his eyes shining with comprehension.

In a mysterious Secret Realm within the star region of the Three Thousand Realms, Ye Xiaoyao lay in a Spirit Medicine Pool, recuperating from his injuries.

“Old Jian, can you still keep this up? This is our fourth time running away from the Night Sky Immortal Emperor.”

“Your trump cards are dwindling. If it really comes to it, I might just hand you over.”

“I don’t think Night Sky Immortal Emperor bears that much malice towards me,” Ye Xiaoyao said nonchalantly.

“Bullshit! If you dare betray me, I bet you’ll end up with no greater achievement than becoming a Quasi-Saint in this lifetime,” Old Jian scoffed in Ye Xiaoyao’s mind.

“Old Jian, I heard about the old grudge between you and the Night Sky Immortal Emperor.”

“I think you really were quite outrageous back then, betraying the brothers who followed you for years just like that,” Ye Xiaoyao said with a hint of worry in his eyes.

“Well, both he and I were overcome by greed.”

“When disagreements arose, we could only settle them through battle.”

“Only the strong deserve the better things. Just look at us now, being chased like scared dogs,” Old Jian explained without shame.

“Back then, I had already become a Great Saint, while he was still a Saint.”

“An Xuan Huang Supreme Treasure involving a Chaotic Saint should have been presented to me the moment he obtained it.”

“Besides, our relationship wasn’t as close as you said.”

“At most, he was just one of those hangers-on diligently serving me,” Old Jian stated.

“No need to explain further; I get your point,” Ye Xiaoyao said bluntly as he lay in the medicinal pool.

“Night Sky Immortal Emperor has been hounding us relentlessly recently. We need to hide in the Chaos Land for a while.”

“Chaos Land, also known as the Outer World,” Old Jian elaborated.

“Is there a treasure house within that Chaotic Force?” Ye Xiaoyao asked with a hint of interest.

“Of course, it’s our key to getting back on track,” Old Jian replied with a laugh.

“Is it related to that Xuan Huang Supreme Treasure?” Ye Xiaoyao excitedly asked.

“Yes,” Old Jian affirmed.

“So, after obtaining that Xuan Huang Supreme Treasure, you plan to seize my body,” Ye Xiaoyao’s expression instantly changed as he said this.

Although he was still a Quasi-Saint, he had some idea about the nature of the Outer World.

“You think too highly of yourself. I have a body of a Great Demon in the Chaos Land. I intend to seize control of that,” Old Jian rolled his eyes in Ye Xiaoyao’s mind.

“You’ve been in the Three Thousand Realms for so many years, and I’m sure you’ve heard some secret stories. Have you ever heard of any creature achieving the status of a Chaotic Saint?”

“The Xuan Huang Supreme Treasure is meant to allow me to fully control the body of the Great Demon and ideally fuse with it.”

“But not now. After you become a Great Saint, you’ll be able to assist me,” Old Jian explained.

“Why didn’t you tell me about this before?” Ye Xiaoyao asked, perplexed.

“I feared worrying you if I said too much before. Even after explaining now, I’m still afraid that you’ll have doubts.”

“I’ll show you the body of the Great Demon so you’ll stop thinking that I’m after your body,” Old Jian’s voice was full of disdain.

“Old Jian, you’re crossing the line. Am I that terrible in your eyes?”

“At the very least, I have the potential to become a Great Saint.”

Upon hearing Old Jian’s words, Ye Xiaoyao immediately protested.

“Alright, enough with the jokes.”

“Focus on healing and then I’ll take you to the first treasure house in the Chaos Land. There, you’ll find a way to advance to the level of a Saint,” Old Jian said.

“Okay.”

“Old Jian, out of curiosity, how long did it take for you to arrange all these backup plans?” Ye Xiaoyao asked.

“Guess.”
