MMORPG: Rise of the Primordial Godsmith
Chapter 1412 - 1412: Realms of the Great ScribeDing!
————
[Realms of the Great Scribe] (Lv. MAX)
Rarity: Mythic (Special)
During the era when spell parchments were widespread, many spell scribes sought to achieve greater power from the parchments they created.
Though the reasons behind this need varied from person to person, some of these spell scribes were successful in taking that step forward, causing their parchments to become greatly sought out by the masses.
However, out of these successful spell scribes, only one of them was able to reach the pinnacle of crafting spell parchments, making themselves known as the Supreme Scribe.
Thanks to the efforts of the Supreme Scribe, the prestige of spell parchments eventually reached a similar level comparable to the other trades of the universe, causing there to even be an instance where spell scribes were the main profession for a few eras.
Although the reputation of spell parchments eventually fell to the wayside due to the Supreme Scribe’s disappearance, a glimpse of this previous glory could still be seen in each parchment created.
As the Scribe of the Great Arcane, you have access to the experiences that allowed the Supreme Scribe to reach the pinnacle, giving you the opportunity to return spell parchments back to its former glory in the current day.
This skill allows the user to systemically comprehend the five realms of spell parchments, giving the user a chance to revive the golden age of times past.
Depending on the realm the user has achieved in the world of spell parchments, a corresponding boost to the user’s abilities shall be given.
Current realm: 1st — Mimicry (100%)
Progress to next realm: 2nd — Modification (5%)
Current effects:
> 5% boost to efficacy of all spells cast
> 5% boost to efficacy of all crafted spell parchments

“[Realms of the Great Scribe]…”
As he uttered out the name of the skill he obtained from his newly evolved subclass, Valyr brought out the various pieces of information he gained from the skill to the surface of his mind.
Looking through them one by one, the young man eventually had a better idea of what the skill wanted him to achieve, as well as what it implicated.
According to the information he’d gotten from the skill, there used a being similar to the Grand Sage that brought about the golden age of spell parchments to existence called the Supreme Scribe.
However, although the man’s abilities allowed them to stand tall in the world of magic, the Supreme Scribe instead focused all of its time, talent, and effort into pushing the craft of spell parchments to greater heights.
Because of that, he was eventually able to discover that there were actually five realms a spell scribe could achieve when it came to inscribing spell parchments.
The first realm was called Mimicry, wherein a spell would be copied one for one onto parchment.
For many eras before the being’s existence, this was considered the only level for spell scribes, with the only way for spell parchments to become stronger being to inscribe stronger spells.
With the rise of the golden age of spell parchments, the second realm for spell scribes was discovered, which was called Modification.
Just like the name implied, spell scribes at this realm were not only able to mimic the properties of the spell they chose, but they also had the ability to modify any of the spell’s properties to their liking.
Whether the modification was a reduction in cooldown, an increase in power, or an additional effect to the spell, all of these were possible for a spell scribe of the second realm.
As for the third realm, the first one to achieve it was none other than the Supreme Scribe.
Noticing the limits of modifying spells, the Supreme Scribe decided to change his frame of mind on the matter, eventually landing on the thought of fusing spells together.
Though he was eventually successful in achieving his initial goal, the man discovered the third realm of spell scribes first, which he decided to term as Succession.
At that level, it was possible for a spell scribe to inscribe multiple spells on one parchment and string them together, giving the spell scribe greater flexibility on the effects it could have.
Not long after achieving the realm of Succession, the Supreme Scribe stepped on the fourth realm, which he named as Fusion.
Although it was similar in concept to the third realm, a spell scribe at the realm of Fusion had the ability to take the best parts out of a certain spell and combine it with the best parts of another, allowing the creation of parchments that had absurdly powerful abilities for their purpose.
Of course, with the fourth realm pretty much focused on handpicking the best parts out of spells before combining them into one spell, it only made sense that the final realm the Supreme Scribe discovered went one step above it.
“Creation,” muttered Valyr as the thought came to mind, his eyes glistening with anticipation the more he thought about it.
At the realm of Creation, a spell scribe did not need to reference spells anymore.
With the great amount of knowledge and experience they accrued, as long as they could visualize the effects a spell could have, they were able to inscribe it into parchment and make it a reality.
“Man…” By the time he was done going through the skill’s information, Valyr could not help but let out a sigh of admiration at the Supreme Scribe’s achievements, only to let out a slight chuckle soon after.
“…To think [Great Arcane Inscription] would give me a head start on comprehending these five realms,” murmured the young man after some time, closing the screens he brought up in front of him.
“Now I’m starting to get the feeling that Arcane intentionally modified the subclass to turn out this way.”
As these words left his mouth, Valyr had a pensive expression on his face, getting the feeling that his current subclass might be connected to the goal she wanted him to achieve.
However, even if that were truly the case, there wasn’t really much he could do about it.
After all, he was still bound to the shackles of mortality. On the other hand, Arcane was a bona fide Primordial-level being.
Even a sneeze from her had the power to destroy galaxies if she wanted to.
Though the possibility of having his path to power be controlled by an omnipotent being slightly unnerved him, the young man decided not to think about it any further, especially since there wasn’t any concrete basis behind it.
“I suppose now’s a good time to ask about that special dungeon the guild discovered.”
