Ari turned to Ayaan with a confused look. “We aren’t going to capture this pretty boy? I can sense he’s quite strong. Chaos would be pleased to have him sacrificed to it. And then… It might grant GhostWalker a greater power!”

“No… there are enough living sacrifices for the ritual tonight. We don’t need to add him too. And can’t you see? There are bodies of coyotes around him. He must’ve killed them. He even dodged my arrow. He’s no normal man. We can’t afford to hold back against him.” Ari didn’t want to kill Roy. She wanted to have a taste of him first. But Ayaan wanted him dead. He had an eye for detail and knew that Roy might very well be the cause of the smell of the blood in the air.

“Enough chit-chat. Let’s get to work.” Darian said, swinging his axes.

Ari also took out her weapon. It was a giant double-ax.

Roy was walking towards them ever so calmly.

They didn’t know the reason why he was being so arrogant in the face of the servant of chaos. And honestly, they weren’t interested in finding out. They only wanted to cut him up nicely.

Ari and Darian rushed toward Roy. The gap between them was covered in moments. An instant later, reflected in Roy’s eyes were three weapons rapidly approaching his vitals. Just as it looked like their weapons would cut into him, Roy swung his swords upwards. The surface of his swords met with the sword of their weapons, and the sound of weapons clashing rang out.

“Clang!”

Ari’s and Dorian’s eyes widened to the size of saucers as Roy parried their attacks with ridiculous strength that their weapons shot out of their hands, dropping in bushes far away. They were left defenseless. With weapons, they were not his match. They found that out too late. Hence, without a weapon, how could they stand their ground against Roy, whose strength stat has long succeeded sixty boosted by the runic items and the new Title?

Roy didn’t let this opportunity go to waste. He moved in for the kill.

He slashed out with his swords as Ari and Darian jumped backward. Although they had taken actions to create a distance between themselves and him before he attacked, his swords still drew a red line on their necks.

Blood started gushing out of it. They clutched their necks, blood adding colors to their pale hands. Whilst keeping a check on Ayaan, Roy’s mercilessly stared at them as they moved back weakly as if they were men at their last breath. But they didn’t fall, nor did they die. Black gas gushed out of their eyes, enveloping their necks. The wound could be seen closing at a speed visible to the naked eye.

They weren’t going to die! Roy rushed forward, the intention to behead them plenty in his eyes.

Seeing that, Ayaan pointed his bow at Roy. It didn’t have a string. And he didn’t have an arrow. Countless specks of light appeared around him, joining together in order to shape into an arrow. Right after, chaotic energy gushed out of his fingertips, infusing with the arrow, causing its colors to change from red to reddish-black and increasing its strength. “Little doll, how about playing with me too?” This was what he said while looking at him with fervent excitement plenty in his eyes.

Whoosh!” The chaotic arrow immediately charged toward Roy.

‘That should be enough to stop him and buy some time for Ari and Darian to escape to safety.’ Ayaan silently thought. But his expression immediately felt. To his dismay, Roy didn’t even pause to glance at the arrow coming his way.

『Ding! You’ve activated the defensive spell of your runic item, Devil’s hand!』

A shield appeared in the trajectory of the arrow. The arrow struck it and vanished. The shield crumbled into pieces. But it has done its job. Roy was already four steps away from his target. His swords skidded their way through the air, falling down on their necks.

Their heads were detached from their bodies and flew in the air, spinning around.

『Ding! Congratulation. You’ve killed two rare-level servants of Chaos. You gained 400 EXP. Their magic sea is infused with chaos. Extracting a part of such a magic sea and infusing it with yours would harm you. Thus, a part of their magic sea won’t be extracted for you this time!』

Ayaan was just level 11, and so were the other two servants of chaos. But killing them, he gained more EXP than killing an actual level 11 monster. Why was that? Why was the system rewarding it excellently for killing Chaos’s followers?!! Roy didn’t know. And this wasn’t a good time to be lost in thoughts.

As this notification rang in Roy’s, their heads landed on the ground. He was certain they had died.

On the other hand…

‘I miscalculated. He is a body tempering trainee and also a Fake Mage. He must be from that family. Only they can produce such monsters.’ Ayaan’s eyes had thinned to the size of needles when he saw Roy use magic. It signified that Roy was from the family he feared.

He lost the desire to confront him.

It was at this moment that he was gazed at by terrifying eyes.

“Now, it’s only you and me left. You wanted to play with me, treat me like your doll, right? Let’s play!” After speaking, Roy dashed towards him with bloody swords in his hands. He looked like a serial killer chasing after an innocent lamb!

“Fuck off. Who wants to play with a murderous doll like you? Not to mention, I don’t want to fight a monster sent by the Baldwins!!!” Ayaan cursed him and immediately made a run for it.

How could Roy let him escape?

He didn’t give chase. He simply let go of his weapons, raised and stretched out his hands, and pointed his fingers at the back of Ayaan. More than a dozen Mana wisps gushed out of his fingertips, intertwining to take the shape of bullets.

Not one, not two, but more than seven bullets could be seen reflected in Roy’s eyes! And they were all meant for one person!
