Objectively speaking, the young lady with a name and face was actually very beautiful. Her skin was fair, and her aura was chillingly cold, especially her pair of sharp, electrifying eyes. When she held a knife against someone’s neck with a reverse grip, the posture was simply breathtaking!
Wait…
“I was planning on having a heart-to-heart with you, and now you pull this stunt?”
Orson was left dumbfounded in the fire escape outside the restaurant, sparks flying near his neck as his Sun Shield crackled.
“Sorry, I just needed to double-check that this isn’t some sort of illusion or weird magic trick,” Blank said calmly as she sheathed her knife, showing no sign of remorse.
“Don’t you ancient martial arts people notice something?” Orson frowned and asked.
At the same time, he realized that based on the damage to his Sun Shield around his neck, he could tell that one layer of Sun Shield could block at least two strikes from Blank, who was clearly a skilled fighter. A single shield might not stop a bullet, but several layers stacked together would hold up fine.
“What problem? Speak up,” Blank shot him a glance, her large eyes seemingly holding something she was hesitant to say.
“Can you be a little more civilized? At least act like you’re from the 21st century. And by the way, your knee is pressing on my thigh.” Orson glared at her restless long legs.
Blank froze, her face slightly flushed as she pulled back her leg. “Although you can prove that you can bring game skills into the real world, I can feel you’re not as powerful as you are in the game. You’re not in a position to give us any advice.”
“So you’re being this cocky now?” Orson raised an eyebrow, a bit annoyed.
“Yes, I am,” Blank coldly snorted.
Orson shook his head. These aristocratic families with their superior attitudes really looked down on ordinary people. It was a long-standing sense of entitlement. To them, normal people were weak and ignorant. Whether in terms of power or combat ability, the difference was like comparing different species.
It was like asking someone like Mr. Roberts, a man with the strength to punch several tons, to participate in a world boxing competition—he’d probably knock everyone out instantly.
“Do you want something from me? Just say it. And like I said, if you beg me softly…” Orson raised an eyebrow, looking at her.
“Don’t get too full of yourself, Orson. Just because you’re cozying up to Laura the vixen doesn’t mean I can’t do anything to you. There are plenty of ways to kill you.” Blank sneered, her fingers effortlessly twirling a regular table knife as if it had fused with her hand. The sound of cutting through the air was chilling.
Orson swallowed a mouthful of saliva, and another layer of Sun Shield appeared in front of him.
“You’re still valuable to me, so I won’t kill you just yet,” Blank said with a cold glare at his little defensive gesture.
“I’m a mage. I don’t like thieves getting too close. Please forgive my natural reflex,” Orson said, shaking his head like a pendulum.
“Hopeless,” Blank scoffed, her icy demeanor unchanged.
Orson continued to create layers of Sun Shield around himself, wrapping himself up like a mummy until he looked completely shielded.
“Can we talk properly now?” Blank asked.

Orson smiled slightly and nodded. “Go ahead, start your performance. Since soft words don’t work, why don’t you try a harder approach?”
As soon as he said this, both of them froze, their faces turning red as they looked away from each other.
Orson coughed awkwardly, signaling her not to take it seriously.
“You know, spending too much time with Madman and his group of perverts does rub off on me,” he joked.
Blank blushed, awkwardly murmuring, “Well… James doesn’t know how to talk, so don’t take it to heart.”
Blank composed herself and restrained her usual arrogance. Faced with a reality-bending monster who could use magic skills, Radiant Shuttle would definitely treat him as an important person. A figure like this wouldn’t just be someone Blank could easily touch. Even the entire The Bruce Family wouldn’t dare cross him.
If anyone tried to harm Orson now, it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say they were going up against the whole of the US military.
“Die a hundred times, and then maybe my rage will subside,” Orson said indifferently.
Blank was stunned for a moment before she noticed Orson take out his phone and send a message to the Godslayer core group. He instructed Bradley to keep an eye on players under the ID “ShadowBlade” and kill them a hundred times before discussing further.
Blank raised an eyebrow and said, “You really hold grudges.”
“And you’re no different,” Orson teased, raising his brow. This girl had always wanted to take him out in Infinite Dimensions, but her strength hadn’t been enough to achieve her goal.
“Should I thank you for being so magnanimous?” Blank sneered, her tone mocking.
Orson nodded seriously. “James almost killed me earlier. I don’t want to cause trouble, but if he insists on dying, I don’t mind setting fire to The Bruce Family. Believe me, no one’s better at it than me.”
Blank chuckled, “You really are a crazy bastard. The Infinite Dimensions players know exactly what you’re capable of. Whether NPC or player, if anyone gets on your bad side, there’s no good outcome. Just look at the UJ region as an example.”
“Alright, I’ll get to the point. I do need your help,” Blank said, turning serious.
Orson squinted. It was rare for this proud woman to speak seriously, so he gestured for her to continue.
“K.D once told me a strange prophecy. In the near future, my parents will die under a bizarre curse, and the entire The Bruce Family will be slaughtered. I hope you can help when the time comes.” Blank looked at him with a mix of determination and unease, her eyes full of silent pleading. She even positioned herself in front of the exit, as if trying to block him from leaving.
“Prophecy? Is it really that unbelievable?” Orson felt a chill in his heart. He recalled the Heaven Demon invasion in his past life, when the US ancient martial arts families were destroyed. It was likely that The Bruce Family had been part of that destruction. But how did K.D know about it?
“No, it’s not just a prophecy anymore. It’s more like a prediction…” Blank hesitated, staring at Orson.
“You mean my ability to bring skills into the real world validates the prophecy’s truth?” Orson frowned, clearly puzzled. Blank nodded solemnly.
A flash of realization flickered in Blank’s eyes. To her surprise, Orson didn’t seem overly shocked. It was almost as though he knew that The Bruce Family’s downfall was inevitable.
“Then I’m curious—how does K.D know?” Orson asked, genuinely curious.
Blank glanced behind her to make sure no one was around. After confirming they were alone, a mysterious expression crossed her face. “They captured something. The prophecy came from the mouth of that thing, and it also mentioned people like you. It called you ‘The Trialbearer.'”
That thing!?
Trialbearer?!
Could it be…
“Are you saying… they mean the military?” Orson’s voice trembled.
Blank nodded gravely. “When it was found, the thing was severely injured. The military lost over thirty new-model fighter jets but barely managed to bring it down. It survived with just its head still intact.”
Heaven Demon!!
Orson stood frozen in place, a cold shiver running through him. Could it be that Radiant Shuttle was created because of this thing’s appearance?
No, that couldn’t be. Even if the military had captured a Heaven Demon, how could it predict future events?
This didn’t make sense!
“What did it look like?” Orson’s thoughts were in chaos as he suddenly grabbed Blank’s collar. “Tell me, quickly!”
Blank’s fair skin peeked through her collar as her face flushed red. She was about to scold him, but when she saw the horror and killing intent in his eyes, she felt a strange unease.
“According to K.D’s description…” Blank bit her lip, still angry but reluctantly continuing, “It was a strange creature with a huge vertical eye on its forehead. Anyone who got close to it was controlled like a puppet.”
“Ocular Demon… A high-level Heaven Demon species,” Orson murmured in horror, his body turning cold.
