Immortal of the Ages
Chapter 656: A Record of Moon Fairy's Flowery AdventuresHUM! A great celestial palanquin shuddered with each movement, signaling its descent into the demon territory of Naraka.
Around Moon Fairy, the young fox demons struggled to keep their footing, tumbling and careening about, their cries piercing the air.
Their futures were cloaked in uncertainty, their destinies unknown, as were the kinds of masters they might encounter, stirring a natural anxiety within them.
"Nevertheless, we have entered smoothly," one remarked.
As soon as they entered the demon territory even within the confines of the celestial palanquin, Moon Fairy detected a peculiar odor. It was hard to say whether it was foul or fragrant, but it was undeniably discomforting.
"Perfumed rot!" the Nian roared in disdain.
"Rot?" Moon Fairy pondered this as a group of powerful demons from the Lunar Demon Cavern suddenly appeared before the young fox demons.
Leading them was the Lunar Mistress. Unlike her daughter Wuqing, she possessed a charm as enticing as a ripe peach, her eyes like the heart of the fruit—seemingly innocent yet infinitely seductive.
"Remember what I instructed earlier? We'll soon be at the Celestial Demon Conference." The Lunar Mistress' voice was cold as frost, instilling fear in the delicate fox demons.
"We remember!"They answered in unison.
Moon Fairy, concealed among the throng of demons, did not stand out.
He was plotting his escape from the celestial palanquin to seize an opportunity in the demon territory of Naraka. But the astute eyes of the Lunar Mistress quickly spotted him among the crowd.
"Who is this tender fox? I don't recall seeing them before," she asked.
"I picked them up on the road, mom," Wuqing replied.
The Lunar Mistress glanced at Moon Fairy, noting his weaker cultivation among the group and apparently saw no threat, casually appraising him. "This little girl has the looks of a beauty," she noted.
"Mom, he's a male," Wuqing corrected awkwardly.
"Oh?" Surprised, the Lunar Mistress stepped forward, reaching out to grasp him regardless of his will, her expression bizarre as she confirmed, "Indeed, he harbors a potent force."
"I only realized he was a man after he spoke," Wuqing replied.
"Hmm," the Lunar Mistress mused, her mood apparently light as she pinched Moon Fairy's cheek. "These looks, if he were female, he'd barely pass as exceptional. But as a male, he's a rarity of the finest sort."
"Is that an exaggeration?" Wuqing asked, surprised.
"Rare things hold value. The usual pets have long since bored her," the Lunar Mistress explained before turning to two fox demons behind her. "Lil Qing, Lil Lan, dress up this tender fox."
"Are you planning to present him to the Great Mother?" Wuqing's eyes sparkled.
"Naturally," the Lunar Mistress smirked, giving Moon Fairy another look before she and her daughter turned and left.
The two fox demons, mature in age and allure, each dressed in flowing robes of green and blue, more fantastical than any Celestial Court fairy, remained behind.
"Young fox, what is your name?" The green-robed fox approached, her eyes squinting with delight at Moon Fairy.
"Sister, I am called Moon Fairy."
"The Fairy of the Moon, quite poetic." The blue-robed fox laughed gently, then took Moon Fairy's hand, her eyes swirling with seductive waves. "Come, let's give you a wash."
"A wash?"
Before Moon Fairy could grasp the situation, he was whisked away under the nervous gazes of the other young fox demons.
"The Great Mother..."
These words sent a chill through the gathered fox demons.
"He's in a dire situation."
"I heard the Great Mother might devour a man in the height of passion."
Their words almost suffocated them, their legs trembling.
"No, it's not certain. He has a feminine charm, unique in this regard; perhaps he'll receive the Great Mother's favor..."
"The Great Mother is fickle, like bedding a tiger; it's hard to say."

Lil Qing and Lil Lan, each holding one of Moon Fairy's hands, led him into a room filled with an intoxicating fragrance. The chamber was a dreamlike vista of pink florals.
At the center, a bath bubbled, its waters shimmering with colorful light, covered in petals. The colorful liquid seemed almost milky, steaming with vibrant mists that appeared slightly scalding.
Moon Fairy's nose twitched slightly; the scent told him this pool contained liquid Desolate Essence, not only cleansing but likely enhancing one's vitality.
"Moon Fairy dear, for someone of your origin to bathe in this Colorful Mist Pool, know that it is a great fortune," the green-robed fox cooed.
Moon Fairy was plotting an escape from these two powerful celestial demons, but faced with the enchanting Colorful Mist Pool, he held himself back.
There was no way around it—a body double was just that, lacking the myriad resources of the original.
Now, at his weakest, Moon Fairy had no choice but to endure and bear the burden. "Enough, I’ll bear this burden just this once! Let’s take a chance."
Moreover, the green and blue fox demons didn't give him a chance to refuse, swiftly stripping him of his silver robe.
"This is a fine piece indeed." The green fox's pretty face blushed, her eyes shimmering with excitement.
No wonder the Lunar Mistress had declared him a rarity upon her touch.
"Lil Qing, might we... taste him first?" the blue fox whispered with longing.
The green fox shook her head. "We can't. If we touch him, the scent won't wash off quickly, and how could the Great Mother swallow that?"
Their task was to package him!
"Alright then," the blue fox said, biting her lip, a trace of disappointment in her tone.
"Don't get carried away. Even the Lunar Mistress didn’t taste him first, so how could we?" the green fox reasoned.
"The Lunar Mistress is devoted to another man, and she has long abstained," the blue fox remarked, though her mind seemed to settle, and she led Moon Fairy into the Colorful Mist Pool.
Instantly, Moon Fairy felt as if he had entered a hot spring!
Only once inside did he realize how deep the Colorful Mist Pool was. This special liquid desolation must have been vast in volume. He tried absorbing just a little, and even that small amount initiated a tremendous transformation in his Divine Desolation Physique!
His whole body tingled with the sensation.
"This tender fox adapts remarkably well to the desolation; he's a true prodigy," the green fox exclaimed in surprise.
"The Great Mother will surely be even more pleased," the blue fox sighed softly.
They expressed their sentiments briefly before also removing their outer skirts, leaving only their undergarments, and entered the pool, now holding some tools.
"What are those for?" Moon Fairy asked, alarmed at the sight of the strange tools.
In his modestly developed state, he had no means to resist these two powerful celestial demons; even a single hair from them could strangle Yun Xiao’s body double.
"Darling, don't worry, these are just cleaning tools," the green fox chuckled at his naïviety.
"Really," the blue fox added, smiling warmly as she approached Moon Fairy, gently squeezing his arm. "You needn’t worry; we won’t hurt you. The Great Mother likes cleanliness, and we'll remove any other scents from you, packaging you as the perfect gift to present to her."
With that, they began their meticulous cleaning, treating even a single hair with the utmost care.
Caught between the two stunning vixens, Moon Fairy’s emotions were complex, to say the least.
He could only endure this humiliation, calming himself internally before asking softly, "Sisters, may I know what the true form of the Great Mother is?"
"Corpse…"
The blue fox had barely uttered a word before the green fox shot her a stern glance, warning, "Do not speak carelessly!"
After chiding her companion, the green fox turned to Moon Fairy with a smile. "You needn't worry about such matters. Just remember to heed the Great Mother's words. If you do, you will bask in endless glory and riches."
"The Great Mother is the ruler of Narka's demon territory, her stature rivaling that of the White Emperor. Should you become her favorite, countless demons would envy you," the blue fox mused with a sigh.
"Oh," Moon Fairy responded, digesting the weight of her words.
He then inquired about the upcoming Celestial Demon Conference. The two beautiful fox demons were patient and attentive, answering all his questions as long as they weren't too peculiar.
"Um, sisters, may I absorb a bit of the pool water?" Moon Fairy asked 'innocently.'
"This is the Lunar Mistress' bath..." the blue fox began to refuse.
Yet the green fox laughed softly and interjected, "What harm could it do? How much can a little fledgling like him absorb?"
With that reassurance, Moon Fairy wasted no time.
He closed his eyes, savoring the bath while absorbing the liquid desolation through his pores.
"Ah!"
He was astonished to discover that as the liquid desolation was absorbed, the level of the bath did not lower but instead diminished from the bottom up. This meant the desolation floated atop the water—a curious and fortunate trait that offered him greater opportunity.
Of course, with both fox sisters being formidable beings, Moon Fairy didn't dare to overindulge. He didn't want to get caught.
So, he maintained a steady rhythm, slowly absorbing the liquid. The Colorful Mist Pool was deep, around thirty meters, and as time passed, he had drained nearly half of it. The temperature of the pool dropped slightly, but the two foxes had yet to notice.
Knowing the immense value of what he'd stolen, Moon Fairy dared not continue, lest he had a death wish.
And just then, the two beauties announced the end of the cleansing process.
"Alright, come on out."
The green and blue foxes emerged from the water, colorful liquid cascading down their bodies, tracing vibrant, undulating paths.
They watched expectantly as Moon Fairy, now scrubbed to a snowy white, emerged from the water.
The blue fox chuckled. "This child is so sincere, even saluting us."
The green fox joined in the laughter.
But Moon Fairy was embarrassed. Having absorbed too much of the liquid desolation, his body felt as though molten lava coursed through his veins, his inner fire raging too fiercely.
"Come, let's do your make-up quickly," the green fox beckoned.
"Make-up?" Moon Fairy's eyes widened. What the hell was this about?
The green fox gave him a playful scold with her eyes, then proceeded with the packaging.
Seeing the powdered, white petal dresses they brought for him, Moon Fairy nearly choked in disbelief, exclaiming, "Why are you dressing me in women's clothes?!"
