Kyle knew nothing about these people yet they knew a lot more about him than he realized.

If things went wrong, Jane would be caught in the crossfire, and he couldn’t afford that at that moment.

It would complicate things a lot more than needed, but his dodging the knife thrown at him seemed to impress this man.

The lady’s attempt to make her father take his head had worked to his advantage.

“Are you the one who sent the text?” Kyle asked but the man raised a confused brow in response to this.

“A text?” He repeated but Kyle quickly brushed it off so as to not raise suspicion with a potential ally.

“Forget I said anything. You asked if I was working with anyone earlier. Do you want an honest answer?” Kyle questioned.

The way he composed himself despite a gun on the table right in front of him.

If that trigger was pulled, that would be the end of his life but Kyle was no longer frightened by this possibility because he had just demonstrated something that no one thought he had.

In all honesty, Kyle was surprised he could do that himself so it wasn’t one-sided.

“Kyle, I want to offer you something…” The man said and Kyle leaned in to show he had his full attention.

“I’m listening,” Kyle responded, the seriousness on his face showing he didn’t take this lightly.

“I want you to work for me,” The man offered but this was something that Kyle had vowed never to do.

He was never going to work under anyone ever again but there was a potential partnership here however Kyle needed to know the full scope of what this man had to offer.

The man brought out a suitcase and slid it across the table, Kyle was puzzled at this offer.

“What is this for?” Kyle questioned, visibly confused by this gesture.

“In there is $50,000,000 and all we require is using your strip club as a secondary outlet for our operations,” This was all he said and something told Kyle he didn’t want to be asked what they do.

However, they weren’t the ones with the power, he had to remind himself of that.

“What is this operation?” Kyle asked but the man’s eyes held no hesitation.

Unlike Nakamura, this mane exuded a completely different aura, one Kyle couldn’t get a read on.

“A little trafficking, nothing serious,” The man responded like he didn’t just state one of the most common crimes currently plaguing the world.

“Sex trafficking?” Kyle repeated, pretending to be in thought and wearing his Godfather’s face.

“Wait, this might be a good opportunity to…!” Kyle thought to himself before stretching out his hand.

“You have a deal but I have terms of my own,” Kyle offered a counter.

“Is $50,000,000 not enough?” The man asked, clearly willing to add more if Kyle wasn’t satisfied.

“I don’t need money but there is something I want,” Kyle responded.

He was careful not to accept anything that could tie him to these people even though it was in hard cash.

He knew that once he collected that money, there would be no going back as it would be equivalent to him selling his soul.

“State your price,” The man said, puffing out smoke from his lips in the process.

Kyle looked over at the girl who attempted to trick him into being killed, he could always ask for her but in most Mafia movies he watched; the father had an unhealthy relationship with his daughter, spoiling her to a fault.

If these people were into sex trafficking, there was a way he could put a stop to this evil as he had direct connections to Priscilla.

However, there was a good chance that these men had people in there.

“I want a partnership,” Kyle muttered and the man leaned back in his chair, clearly amused.

“Partnership? You want to be associated with this world?” The man questioned, letting out another huge gust of smoke.

“That is right and I want you to show me how it works,” Kyle said as he had plans of his own.

“I need you to prove it to me,” The man said and Kyle spotted a smirk from the corner of his eyes.

“Prove it to you? Should my cooperation to your operation not be enough?” Kyle questioned.

“Not even close. You’re asking me to bring you in and I need to know you have the means to do what I would require of you,” The man said sternly, looking Kyle right in the eyes.

Kyle could see it in his eyes, this man was the epitome of evil and Kyle couldn’t comprehend why he was so scared.

“The fuck…!” Kyle thought to himself and had to second guess his decision to carry on with this.

However, this was something he would encounter frequently if he was serious about this.

“What do I need to do?” Kyle questioned. And without his skills, he would have been a hot mess but thanks to it, he was able to mask it.

The man looked over at the man who had knocked him out and without saying a word, he came towards Kyle and handed him a piece of paper.

Kyle took it and saw the contents within but all it contained was an address/

“I don’t understand…” Kyle questioned however showing those skills he displayed earlier gave the false impression that he must be accustomed to such a life for such skills to manifest.

Clarence was once an ally to this man but gone against his wishes and this was why he didn’t take it personally that Kyle had killed him despite the influence and finances to hire one that specializes in this.

“You will once you do. I need you to understand what you’re asking for,” The man said however Kyle didn’t even know his name.

They had spoken for quite some time and this man had controlled the tempo of the entire conversation.

“Before I do, tell me your name,” Kyle asked and the man slung back in his chair.

And words that came out of his mouth left Kyle’s mouth wide open.
