Guide to raise my cutie husbands

Chapter 1739 - 1739: Moving to the servants’ quarters

The Ding family moved to the small shack which was handed to Ding Nan. Of course, it did not happen as swiftly as others would have expected.

As soon as they arrived at the small house, Old Master Ding started to throw his weight around once again. He ordered the mer husbands of Ding Nan to stay in the shed along with the children.

In his eyes, they were mers and mers were supposed to be resistant to suffering.

The workers inside the rest of the small servant quarters peered out of their houses upon hearing the ruckus. At first, they were quiet but then one of the workers couldn’t help but speak up.

“Old Master Ding, this quarter is assigned to Madam Nan and her husbands, if you cause so much trouble then I will have no choice but to call Madam Yu to deal with this matter. Don’t forget that you are staying with your daughter not the other way around!”

Old Master Ding who was yelling at his eldest daughter like a cock screeching and preparing for a fight, turned and looked at the worker who had spoken.

He said to the mer, “Don’t go around spouting nonsense! This is our family’s matter, why are you butting in?”

“I am not butting in but Old Master Ding this is not your family’s house but a worker quarter. If you want to keep running your mouth like this then go and build a house first!” The mer jeered causing Old Master Ding’s face to turn red.

He sputtered before turning to look at his eldest daughter before saying, “Are you not going to say anything?”

Ding Nan sighed and turned to look at her husbands before saying, “Go inside the house.”

Master Xu looked at his wife before nodding and walking inside the house with Master Shi and the rest.

Seeing them walk inside the house, Old Master Ding was stunned. He thought that his daughter would listen to him like usual but who would have thought that she actually asked her husband to go inside the quarter without caring about his old face?

“Ding Nan! What do you think you are doing?” Old Master Ding looked at his daughter with disappointment on his face. He didn’t think that there was anything wrong with what he was doing.

In his eyes, his eldest daughter was not as good as his second daughter, thus she should at least be filial to him and her mother. Why was she doing such a thing now?

“What do you think I am doing?” Ding Nan asked angrily. “I bought that house and who was the cause of the house to be burned down? Now that my house is burned to a crisp, you expect me to give this one to you as well?”

Old Master Ding opened his mouth to say something but had no idea where to begin. After all, what was he supposed to say? The house was indeed burned down because of Ding Nuan Nuan and who was Ding Nuan Nuan? She was Ding Xuelan’s daughter.

“Sister! Do you really have to sprinkle salt on my wound like this?” Ding Xuelan asked with a sullen voice. “I am already feeling really guilty.”

“Will your guilt bring me back to my house!?” Ding Nan was so angry that she laughed, the house was gone and no matter what they did now, it was not going to return.

Ding Nan was really angry, she kicked her sister to one side and then stepped inside the house.

Ding Xuelan who was kicked was angry as well but what could she do? She had no choice but to bend her back and please her sister, who had asked her to be cheated on by not only her husband but also that bastard!

On the other hand, Ye Liu returned to the Yu house after checking the school’s building.

“I really cannot believe them!” He exploded as soon as he arrived at the living hall of the main courtyard. He then turned to look at Yu Dong before saying, “And you! You are too kind to them as well, why did you have to give them permission to live in the servants’ quarters?”

Shen Li raised his hand from the box of herbs that he was arranging before turning to look at Ye Liu. He asked, “What’s going on, Liu?”

“Ask her! The Holy Mother of our family,” Ye Liu snorted as he turned on his feet and walked inside the house. He didn’t want to talk to either Yu Dong or Shen Li.

They were pissing him off!

Bewildered, Shen Li turned and looked at Yu Dong.

Yu Dong sighed and relayed what happened to Shen Li, once she finished, she looked at her husband who was looking at her with a frown on his face.

“Don’t tell me that I am in the wrong. Though Old Master Ding and his family are no good, Ding Nan and her sons have done nothing wrong.”

“I never said that you were in the wrong,” Shen Li said calmly as he placed the fox bane herb back in the box and closed the lid of the box. “Liu has the habit of overreacting to some things.”

As he spoke, he glanced at Yu Dong with a light smile on his face.

Yu Dong: Oh so they are not done fighting.

“Li, can’t you—”

“No, I cannot!”

“But I thought that after calming down you all would…”

Before she could finish speaking, Shen Li sneered and said, “So what if I am calm? Do you want to tell me that I need to forgive him no matter how childish he acts sometimes?”

With that, he rose to his feet and walked inside his courtyard.

Yu Dong watched him go and muttered helplessly, “Can anyone give me some peace?”

“Wife … wife… I am here!” Chen Mi said to Yu Dong who raised his head and Yu Dong smiled at him before raising her hand and pressing it on his head.

“Yeah.”
