As soon as she finished speaking there was a crackling sound in the sky, followed by a thunderbolt flickering in the sky.

“What’s going on?” Yu Dong paused as she looked up at the sky. Her eyes widened when she noticed that there was a funnel-shaped cloud in the sky.

“That thing is trying to break free from the connection that she had with Ding Nuan Nuan,” Wu Junfen told Yu Dong as she stepped back.

“Shouldn’t we stop it?” Yu Dong asked.

“There is no point,” Wu Junfen caught hold of her wrist and pulled her away from the Ding house. “Even if you try to get rid of it… it is too late.”

As soon as the two of them dodged past the Ding house, using their martial arts skills, a heavy bolt of thunder struck the Ding house.

The lightning bolt struck the shed where Ding Nuan Nuan and Gu Mo were but for some reason, it only struck Ding Nuan Nuan while Big Yu who hadn’t expected such a thing to happen was dumbfounded.
