Guide to raise my cutie husbands
Chapter 1729 - 1729: Fight between husbands (2)Yu Dong finished her conversation with Village Head Gu before returning home. However, before she could even enter the door of her house, she saw Wu Junfen standing outside as if she were waiting for her.
Yu Dong: “….”
Can she get some rest?
“Grand—Sister Junfen,” she corrected her term of address when she saw Wu Junfen glare at her.
“Dong Dong,” Wu Junfen nodded at her. She tipped her chin to the side asking Yu Dong to follow her and even though Yu Dong wanted nothing more than to take a nap, she had no choice but to follow Wu Junfen.
The two women walked over to the foothill of the mountain.
“What’s going on?” Yu Dong asked when Wu Junfen pulled her to the farthest corner.
“It’s nothing,” Wu Junfen replied. “Didn’t you say that you wanted to deal with that ghost that is possessing Ding Nuan Nuan? I have figured out a way to deal with it. Since that ghost can attach to others easily, we need to have it dealt with lest it attacks someone else.”
“You did?” Yu Dong was surprised when she heard her grandmother say that she had already found a way to deal with that spirit. “What do we need to do?”
Wu Junfen blinked her eyes. She held her hand in front of her and pointed at Yu Dong before saying, “You need to keep that girl named Ding Nuan Nuan trapped and unconscious.”
“Since you are not good at dealing with ghosts, so I will be taking care of the malicious spirit,” said Wu Junfen generously. “Honestly, you are fortunate that I found you, little Dong Dong, who knows what would have happened to you if you didn’t meet me.”
Yu Dong: “…”
Indeed I don’t know about that but there is one thing that I am sure of — I would have been happy.
Wu Junfen narrowed her eyes as she looked at Yu Dong who had stopped talking and was looking at her with a peculiar expression.
“Are you badmouthing me?” She knew her granddaughter all too well. If she was staying quiet then it only meant that she was bad-mouthing someone whom she could not insult.
Yu Dong: “…” Are you a mind reader?
“No,” Yu Dong refused at once a bit too quickly, making Wu Junfen narrow her eyes at her. “Anyway, when are we going to take care of that spirit?”
“Humph, meet me outside your house tonight,” Wu Junfen said to Yu Dong as she turned around. “If you are late then I will leave the grudgeful spirit alone for you to tackle.”
Yu Dong knew that Wu Junfen sensed her bad-mouthing her inwardly. So even though she was annoyed by Wu Junfen’s commanding tone she didn’t say anything nor did she make any retort.
“I didn’t hear you respond,” Wu Junfen paused and smiled at Yu Dong, however, her smile was fear-inducing causing Yu Dong to stiffen. “It seems like you have forgotten all the manners that your dear granny taught you. Granny is upset, Dong Dong.”
“Forgive me, Madam. I will be there on time,” Yu Dong immediately raised her hands in surrender. She had no courage to fight Wu Junfen and even if she somehow managed to summon enough courage— Wu Junfen could easily wipe the floor with her face, with how skilled and powerful that woman was.
“Hmm, that’s better,” Wu Junfen nodded before turning on her feet and walking away.
Yu Dong heaved a sigh of relief. She walked out of the corner of the forest and returned home. As soon as she stepped inside, she saw Ye Liu kneeling on the floor with his hands raised in the air.
“What’s going on?” She asked upon seeing the mer punished.
“It’s Brother Li,” Chen Mi replied in a low voice. “He is upset that Brother Liu didn’t tell anyone that the woman was harassing him.”
Ye Liu who was kneeling on the floor raised his head and said in an aggrieved voice, “I can take care of myself. I didnt tell you because I knew that you would worry.”
He turned to look at Yu Dong and said to her, “Wife, tell Brother Li that I passed every test that you put in front of me. I can certainly take care of a woman like Zhou Jiao Jiao. And that you taught me those skills because you wanted me to beat any woman who harassed me.”
Yu Dong parted her lips but before she could even say a single word Shen Li who was embroidering clothes for his sons raised his head and stared at Yu Dong until she closed her mouth.
Only then did Shen Li turn to look at Ye Liu and say to him, “Do you think that I am angry because you beat someone up?”
“Isn’t that the truth?”
Ye Liu glared at Shen Li who calmly sighed before shaking his head. He got up from the chair on which he was sitting and said to Ye Liu, “If this is what you think, I will not say anything. You can also get up what’s the point of punishment when you don’t even realise what you wrong did you commit?”
He walked out of the living hall leaving the entire family stunned. Even Yu Dong, who hadn’t seen Shen Li this angry before, was stunned.
She turned to look at Ye Liu but before she could say anything Ye Liu who was shocked by Shen Li’s sudden actions scrambled to his feet and yelled, “Fine! You always do this, I didn’t even do anything wrong and yet you still blame me. What was I supposed to do at that moment?”
He snorted and stormed to his room.
Yu Dong: “….”
Chen Mi: “…”
Fang Chi: “…”
Uh- oh.
The three of them looked at one another before Yu Dong raised her hand and ran her fingers through her hair. “Argh!!! One after another!”
