Early in the fourth morning, the snow stopped.

After Yang Yi's morning exercise, his basic strength finally reached six points.

He had also gained some muscle, which could very well be due to the stomach-enhancing potion he consumed, as he ate more, and his physical experience increased quickly.

Taking advantage of the weather, he melted and boiled the snow to collect more than 300 litres of fresh water.

Additionally, Yang Yi and Suna used the opportunity to take a hot bath, which left them feeling completely refreshed.

By the following morning, the snow on the deck had been cleared, leaving only a snow mountain that would yield about 100L of fresh water once melted.

Yang Yi was sitting in the courtyard, fishing.

He had been doing so for almost an hour and hadn’t caught a single fish — not even a long-legged sardine!

Fortunately, others were having the same luck.

Just by chatting on the channel, Yang Yi found some peace, as everyone seemed to experience a lack of fish, and only a few players had managed to catch anything.

Yang Yi stopped fishing and decided to focus his remaining energy on training.

He returned to the captain’s cabin and took the crystal ball to check the position of Captain Xu Da of the Swift Wind ship.

He had done it before.

By determining Xu Da’s coordinates, he could judge how far he was from the White Mist zone.

Xu Da had stopped near the edge of the White Mist, and from the footage, one could even see the shadow of the mist.

It was a white fog, likely with very low visibility inside.

Xu Da didn’t dare enter and kept hovering near the edge, possibly waiting for his team members to join him.

Yang Yi closed the footage.

“We’re still about five days away from reaching the White Mist zone,” he said, sending the information to Suna to make sure she was prepared.

That evening, after finishing his training, Yang Yi noticed that the latest issue of The Weekly was released, so he bought a copy and sold the werewolf information to the newspaper.

Since the Brain Eater information involved witches, he didn’t plan to sell it.

However, this time, it took quite a while before he received the payment.

Just as Yang Yi thought he was being scammed, he received a private message.

“Would you like to become a VIP customer of our newspaper?”

“VIP?”

“Yes! You killed that werewolf on the island, right? That means you’re very good at hunting monsters, so I’d like to ask for your help and improve the quality of our publications…”

The person went on for a while but basically wanted Yang Yi to send photos and detailed information whenever he killed an extraordinary monster, which would increase the value of the information published.

“How about it? If you agree, I’ll make sure all future issues are free for you, and also give you higher rewards.”

Yang Yi hesitated for a few minutes but ultimately decided to agree.

It was a long-term profitable transaction, and agreeing wouldn’t hurt.

Furthermore, whether to sell the information or not was entirely up to him. The initiative remained in his hands.

After making up his mind, he agreed to cooperate, became a VIP customer, and received a friend request.

【Captain Song Ying of the Newspaper’s Fleet has sent a friend request.】

"Captain..." Yang Yi was a bit surprised. He hadn’t expected the person he’d been trading information with was actually the leader of the newspaper’s fleet.

"Alright, from now on, just message me privately about the weekly. And remember, take pictures when you kill monsters! That way, I can give you even higher rewards!"

“Got it!” Yang Yi replied.

Not long after, he received two payments: 2500 + 100 Shell Coins, which were for the information fees and the cost of buying the weekly.

“By the way, I’ll mention the source of the information in the weekly. If you don’t want to use your real name, you can give me a code name,” Song Ying said in a private message.

Yang Yi thought for a moment and replied, "Just call me Cyclops."

"Cyclops…alright!"

After ending the conversation, Yang Yi picked up the latest weekly issue and started reading.

The cover headline read: "This weekly is not strictly published weekly, but rather based on the current sea situation. So, there may be early releases or even consecutive issues."

Yang Yi skipped the irrelevant information and began browsing the "Sea Storm" section, which mainly focused on information about the Extreme Winter Sea Region.

But after reading for a while, he lost interest.

The content was similar to what Xu Da had mentioned, only more detailed, so Yang Yi suspected that most of this information was bought from Xu Da.

However, after reading through the entire issue, he found some useful information.

For example, players dropped a glowing orb after death, containing personal account Shell Coins and recipes, but the orb only lasted for two hours.

Ships would disappear 48 hours after a player’s death.

Although it was unclear who tested this information’s validity or how they did it, Yang Yi was certain that someone had paid the ultimate price for it.

"It seems that apart from the ice floes and low temperatures, there aren’t any other risks… As for the White Mist, no players have entered yet to explore…" Yang Yi summarised and then continued to check the monster information.

He was mainly looking for clues about regenerating flesh.

It was something that likely came from an extraordinary monster with strong regenerative abilities.

After browsing through some monsters with regenerative abilities, he only found one type:

【Name: Low-Level Vampire】

【Description: A twisted creature that feeds on the blood of other creatures, with a certain degree of regenerative ability. It fears sunlight, especially ultraviolet rays, and usually operates at night.】

The piece of information is accompanied by a picture, but it has been thoughtfully sealed with tape, with a warning written on it: "The picture may reduce your sanity. Before viewing, please ensure your mental health is stable."

Yang Yi tore it off directly, revealing an expression of surprise on his face.

【Ugly Creature, -3 Sanity】

It was a creature that had no resemblance to the vampire Yang Yi had in mind. It was an ugly, crude, humanoid being.

It had limbs that should allow it to walk upright, but its body had no skin. Instead, its surface was covered in wrinkled mucus membranes, with a swollen belly.

It looked like a person severely burned, who had drunk a belly full of water.

Its mouth could open like flower petals, splitting into four parts, with sharp teeth along the edges.

At the centre of its mouth, there was an empty, long tongue.

According to the description, it used it to suck blood, with enough force to pierce high-quality leather armour and drain the victim’s bodily fluids like a pump.

The vampire in the soil had already died, cut in half by a sharp weapon. The information provider was — Knight of Justice.

It was likely a code name used by a VIP from the newspaper.

"Cut in half and it died? It's not as tough as a glutton. It seems not as good at regenerating... Perhaps I should look for a higher-level vampire, it might have regenerative flesh inside."

Yang Yi speculated and then quickly flipped through the trade section.

Items for sale were mostly recipes and items for crafting, which sellers could advertise to expand their sales channels.

Next were the harder-to-sell relics.

Yang Yi didn’t have much money and hadn’t planned to buy anything, but he happened to find a weapon that seemed suitable for him.

【Name: Willow Leaf Throwing Darts】

【Type: Artifact】

【Quality: Fine】

【Description: Shaped like willow leaves, these are short blades designed for throwing. Made of steel, the centre of gravity has been adjusted so the blade always points forwards.】

It was perfect for Yang Yi because he was very accurate with throwing weapons, especially after using the Third Eye.

The only downside was the price — it was on the expensive end and sold in sets of ten, priced at 25,000 Shell Coins.

After some private negotiations, Yang Yi managed to buy a set for 23,000 Shell Coins.

It worked wonderfully, and the feel of the throwing darts was excellent!

When his flintlock rifle was cooling down, he could use the throwing darts to make up for his weakness in long-range combat.

Additionally, they were especially effective against small creatures.

Yang Yi went to the bow deck to check the surrounding sea conditions using his Third Eye.

He only saw some thin, floating ice, which didn’t pose a threat to the Nightmare Star ship.

Once he confirmed it was safe, he turned around and returned to the captain’s cabin, ready to rest.

He took out a bottle of appetite-enhancing potion from his bag and drank it in one go, then consumed three pieces of black bread, two dried long-legged sardines, and 1L of fresh water.

After that, he ate two shrivelled eyeball fruits, patted his stomach with satisfaction, and lay down in bed to sleep.

The Nightmare Star silently sailed across the cold, desolate sea.

At the bow of the ship, countless white skeletal arms clung to the captain's bones.

Below the captain's bones, there was a giant head of a Bobbit worm.

After silently sailing for three hours, a giant floating ice block appeared ahead of the Nightmare Star, its visible height above the water was about two metres, with a width of about four. However, its underwater volume was estimated to be several times larger.

It was an iceberg.

Slowly drifting towards the Nightmare Star, it was aimed directly at its bow.

Behind it, even more were approaching…
