Grand Ancestral Bloodlines

Chapter 2271 - 2271: The First

Ryu’s eyes shot open.

“Hubby?” Elena awoke to a set of cold lips on hers. Yet, she felt a sense of warmth and comfort when she saw that set of familiar silver eyes looking down at her.

Tenderness, loving emotion… and all in a single instant of time, Ryu was transported back to the moment.

He remembered it well… the day he lost his virginity to this woman he loved so dearly. He had forgotten how long he had made her wait for this moment, and then he remembered the sheer inadequacy of the moment.

He had done his best, but the strength between their bodies was too much. He could give her as much pressure as she wanted, but he couldn’t go as fast as she was craving, he couldn’t sense and react to the shifts and changes in her mood with enough sharpness.

Looking back, had Elena enjoyed it at all?

The thought came and left his mind just as quickly. He knew the answer was yes. He was Ryu Tatsuya, he wielded the number one Heavenly Pupils in all of existence. As many disadvantages as he had had, he had enough sharpness of mind and refinement in wit to make up for it.

But that didn’t change just how small he felt looking back on this moment. He had wanted his first time with his wife to be him caring for her, coddling her, but instead, he had a hard time remembering it as anything other than pity Elena took on him.

Laying on top of her, Ryu gently stroked her cheek.

“I love you,” he said softly.

Elena’s eyes widened.

They were words that Ryu never said. He always had this sort of poetry and flare to what he spoke, always wanting to be as precise as possible, and feeling like words like “I love you” were too bland. Ryu couldn’t remember having ever said those words out loud.

He remembered exactly what he had said to Elena back then…

… “You, Elena Tatsuya, will forever be my, Ryu Tatsuya’s wife. In life and in death, we walk together. In sadness and happiness, we feel together. In this reincarnation and the next… our souls will always be one.” …

They were beautiful words, and somehow, although Ryu didn’t speak them in this iteration, Elena felt them echoing in the back of her mind…

Only to be swallowed up by these far simpler words.

Tears fell from her eyes, sparkling like silvery droplets of moonlight. They caressed the side of her cheek as they fell, but they too were swallowed up by the touch of her husband, a strong, pulsing light that overwhelmed the night coming from him.

Warmth.

“I love you, hubby… I love you so much… so much it hurts…”

Elena held onto Ryu as tightly as she dared to, not wanting to crush him. She had been so worried something bad would happen tonight, so worried that something about her and Ryu’s relationship had changed.

But those words that Ryu spoke just how settled down that weight on her chest and made her feel alive again.

“Let’s have our first tonight,” Ryu said softly.

Elena looked up at Ryu with red eyes, hints of expectation overwhelmed by love in her eyes. She nodded almost a little too eagerly.

“Hurry, hurry. Put it in me. I’ve been waiting for so long.”

Ryu smiled, gently gracing her lips with his own.

“There’s no rush. Let’s enjoy the night. Let me warm you up a bit…”

Elena’s eagerness faded to heat, and then that heat faded into feverish moans that filled the skies and rocked their palace.

Luckily… cultivation or not, he was the best Formation Master in Sacrum.

Ryu stood beneath the moonlight in the very same place he took his life that night. That moment was truly the most pathetic of his life.

Part of the reason he took Elena’s virginity that night was because he really was being selfish. He didn’t want to miss out on the chance just in case he really was wrong about all of this and wasn’t the Phoenix Sky God’s successor.

Another part was because he wanted to make sure that Nuri wasn’t there to stop him. She always gave them their privacy, and she would have done doubly so in such an intimate moment.

But right this moment, Ryu called her.

“Nuri.” He said softly.

He only whispered it, and yet he felt the flash by his side instantly. Then he felt her nearly stumble out of the pocket she had hidden herself in because he was entirely naked.

Ryu chuckled. “What? Are you shocked to see your husband naked? It’s the first time, but it certainly won’t be the last.”

Nuri gagged on air. What happened? What happened just now? Husband?

She was so distracted she didn’t have the time to see how Ryu reached his hand through the spatial fluctuations she hid in to sweep her waist in his arms.

The kiss that swept her off her feet moments later took the last bits of rationality she had and threw them out the window.

Her heart seemed to flutter open, her cascading black hair flowing like reflective spots of chaos and the beginning of time itself.

She was more than prepared to let Ryu do whatever he wanted… until he suddenly pulled back.

“I won’t take you tonight, it wouldn’t be fair to you. Don’t you want a grand wedding?”

Misty-eyed, Nuri looked up at Ryu and slowly shook her head, almost as though hoping Ryu would change his mind as she squeezed her thighs together.

Ryu chuckled. He knew that Yaana was the most sensitive of his wives, and it seemed that Nuri was much the same. It was nice to know that they truly were one in the same.

“In that case, let’s hold the wedding in two days from now, a small ceremony just for our family. Otherwise, it’ll be my parents that kill me for not giving you proper status.”

There was a hint of disappointment in Yaana’s eyes, but then came a wave of tenderness. She leaned into Ryu’s chest, feeling a safety and warmth she had been chasing after for so long.

Ryu looked up to the moon today.

To control Paradox didn’t give him endless freedom. Just like the Nameless Immortal God had said, his actions this time would probably rip Existence apart…

He just didn’t care.

It was time to close this loop. And if he wanted to complete it properly… he would have to carve out a path of cultivation that didn’t rely on the Phoenix Sky God at all.

If he didn’t, how would he have had the strength to send Yaana back in time with a fury-filled palm strike in the first place? Where would his Perfect Blackbody Soul have come from if he never had the strength to send it back?

Originally, this would have been the very first life he ever lived, but now he would rewrite his own story and make it his very first instead.

He would rise to the peak of the world once again under his own power. And without his reincarnation right in the middle…

He had about a billion years to succeed.

To the cultivators of the world, a billion years was a blink of an eye.

To Ryu…

You might as well have given him all the time in the world.
