Chapter 1196: Chapter 258: Yan Chu Immortal Dynasty, Sword Abyss (Part 3)

He shook his head and continued to lead the way ahead, with his hands behind his back.

That day, Old Man Li of the Sword Abyss returned, bringing back two fresh-faced new disciples, a young man and a young woman.

At the mountaintop, Li Hao and Yue Xi saw many Sword Abyss disciples practicing swordsmanship, sparring, meditating, and pondering the Sword Dao.

In the void, sword lights flickered—some practiced Sword Control, commanding myriad sword instruments.

Some formed Sword Arrays, the swords arranged into a dragon formation, from which roars ensued.

The arrival of Li Tie Mu drew some attention; some hurriedly sheathed their swords to greet their master.

“Another junior disciple joining?”

“Judging by their demeanor, they both seem quite extraordinary.”

Although they couldn’t discern the cultivation of Li Hao and Yue Xi, many noticed their demeanor and bearing, making them stand out among the crowd.

“Our Sword Abyss has four institutes: Heaven, Earth, Mystical, and Yellow. New sect entrants, unless directly apprenticed to an elder, typically undergo initiation tests and are assigned to the Yellow Courtyard. From there, through cultivation and performance, they ascend step by step!”

Li Tie Mu explained to Li Hao and Yue Xi while walking:

“The cultivation resources available to each institute differ as well. The Heavenly Institute is naturally the best. You are fortunate that I am one of the three major Elders of the Sword Abyss; entering my sect means direct admission to cultivate in the Heavenly Institute!”

Upon hearing this, Li Hao and Yue Xi’s expressions remained unchanged.

Li Hao was indifferent, while Yue Xi felt it was only as it should be.

If she were placed in the Yellow Courtyard or Earth Institute, she would immediately pick up her sword and charge into the Heavenly Institute to compete with the disciples there, seeing where she truly stood!

Li Tie Mu, seeing neither surprise nor delight on their faces, was somewhat resigned; taking on prodigies often lacked emotional payoff. Even rewards seemed dull, making it hard for him to discern if their grandeur was genuine or merely a facade.

“Do you both wish to join my sect?”

He asked.

Li Hao nodded.

Yue Xi also nodded, yet both maintained a casual demeanor.

Li Tie Mu felt a lack of achievement in being their master, smiling bitterly internally, yet considering that each had an eight-star and nine-star talent, he let it pass.

After crossing the plaza ahead, Li Tie Mu led them to the front of the Sword Immortal Pavilion at the mountaintop.

He sent a message calling all the disciples under his sect.

“Though I might appear lighthearted, I am rigorous in accepting disciples. I only have five disciples under my wing; with you, it becomes seven!”

Li Tie Mu solemnly warned them, “Entering my sect, the cultivation tests you face in the future will be exceedingly strict. If you dare slack off or cheat, I will not let it pass lightly!”

Li Hao asked, “Outside of tests, you won’t control me, will you?”

Li Tie Mu cast a glance at him, saying, “As long as you meet the requirements, I can leave you be.”

Li Hao nodded, reassured, “That will suffice.”

At this moment, three silhouettes softly flew over and landed in front of the Sword Immortal Pavilion.

“Master.”

Upon seeing Li Tie Mu, the three bowed respectfully and immediately started sizing up Li Hao and Yue Xi.

“Newly accepted junior brother and sister? This time receiving two at once?”

The three were somewhat surprised, aware that though Old Man Li was often frivolous, he had another notable name in the Yan Chu Immortal Dynasty, Iron Sword Immortal!

“Where is your eldest brother?”

Li Tie Mu asked.

“Eldest brother went to slay an Ancient Demon.”

“Fifth Junior Sister went to the Immortal Dynasty to lecture on swordsmanship and hasn’t returned yet.”

A bright-eyed young man answered cheerily.

Li Tie Mu nodded, saying, “They are newly accepted disciples under my tutelage and your junior brother and sister; take care of them well. You, offer tea first.”

As he spoke, he waved his hand summoning a Taishi Chair, upon which he sat, his expression solemn.

Yue Xi did not hesitate; she took the tea offered by the young man nearby and immediately knelt to offer it.

Li Hao also took the tea to offer, but suddenly, a humming sound came from behind Li Tie Mu in the Sword Immortal Pavilion, and the ground trembled slightly.

Li Tie Mu had just sipped Yue Xi’s tea when the vibration startled him, instantly dispelling his solemnity, leaping up in shock to look at the Sword Immortal Pavilion.

“It’s, it seems like…”

The three others seemed to comprehend what occurred, revealing looks of astonishment, glancing at each other.

Li Tie Mu was equally shocked—could the remaining iron sword in the Sword Pavilion truly be vibrating? What was going on?

As he made a move, the vibration swiftly dissipated, as if it were an illusion.

Li Tie Mu’s expression flickered, several figures suddenly appeared in the sky above the Sword Immortal Pavilion, enshrouded in mist, their identities indistinguishable.

Li Tie Mu no longer cared about Li Hao’s tea offering, rushed forward, and exchanged words quietly within the barrier.

A moment later, the barrier dissipated, and those figures vanished, with one sweeping a glance at Li Hao and Yue Xi before leaving as well.

Li Tie Mu returned to the front of the Sword Immortal Pavilion, letting out a bitter laugh, saying, “I don’t know what’s gone wrong. I’ll check it later.”

Looking again at the tea in Li Hao’s hand, he realized it had grown cold, waving dismissively, “Enough, from today, you two are my disciples, Li Tie Mu’s disciple. You are Liu, and you are Lao Qi!”

He ranked Li Hao and Yue Xi respectively.

Yue Xi offered tea first, ranking ahead of Li Hao.

Li Hao, hearing this, smiled bitterly, suddenly thinking this girl hurried to offer tea to press ahead in sect rank?

Upon seeing her slightly proud jade neck, he seemed to confirm the answer.

“You truly are Liu!”

Li Hao said to Yue Xi.

Yue Xi frowned slightly. Although the words were harmless, she couldn’t help feeling they weren’t meant kindly.

“Now, I shall first pass on to you one of the core swordsmanship techniques of the Great Dream Nine Abyss Sword Sect, Great Dream Nine Abyss, Immortal Sword, the first style, Immortal Points the Way!”
