FLASH MARRIAGE: HE IS A WIFE-PAMPERING ADDICT

Chapter 860 03-25 - 859 Ranran, no problem

Chapter 860: 859 Ranran, no problem

“Who said I was going to check on you?” Wen Ran pushed him away and turned to run off.

Mo Xiuchen watched as she ran into the villa, a pleased laugh emerging from him.

He had made the right decision to stay for a few more days; every single moment spent with Ranran was a happy one for him.

Ever since his amnesia, he hadn’t felt this happy, only when he was with Ranran did he experience this blissful feeling.

Mo Xiuchen finished watering the remaining seedlings, put away the watering can, and walked into the villa. Wen Ran was already in the kitchen picking vegetables, preparing to make lunch.

He approached her from behind. Wen Ran didn’t notice him, and when she suddenly turned around, the vegetables in her hand collided with him. Mo Xiuchen hadn’t anticipated Wen Ran would stand up so abruptly.

...

Unable to dodge in time, he instinctively reached out to steady Wen Ran, afraid she might fall.

“Ah, Xiuchen, your clothes are dirty.”

Wen Ran exclaimed softly. In her hands were pumpkin flowers that she had specifically picked before going strawberry picking that morning, and some stems from which she had just removed the stalks.

On Mo Xiuchen’s shirt, the stains were not just from the pumpkin flowers but also from the juice of the stems.

Unfortunately, the shirt he was wearing today was the same white one from yesterday, the one Wen Ran had bought for him. In fact, since Wen Ran had purchased this shirt for him, his other clothes had been banished.

In the summer weather, he would wash the shirt every night after showering, ready to wear it again the next morning.

Wearing the clothes bought by Ranran every day made him feel cheerful, but white clothes were especially prone to showing any other color once stained.

Moreover, the stains were from vegetable juice, which isn’t easy to wash off.

Mo Xiuchen looked down at his shirt, the original white now flecked with spots of yellow and green, resembling a blossomed little flower with a bit of greenery.

A twinge of distress flashed in his eyes. If it weren’t Ranran who had caused the stain, he probably would have lost his temper by now.

But since the culprit was the woman he deeply loved, even if he treasured the shirt greatly, he couldn’t be angry with her. He just pursed his lips and softly said, “Ranran, it’s okay. I’ll go change and wash it off.”

Wen Ran, noticing the change in his expression, said guiltily, “Xiuchen, it’s hard to wash off once something like this stains. How about I buy you two more?”

As compensation, she would buy two more.

Her two brothers and her father each only had one. The one she gave to Wen Jin was only presented to him on his birthday; she hadn’t bought him any other gift. Now, towards Mo Xiuchen, she was indeed partial.

“Ranran, I accept your offer to buy two more to make up for it, but I really like this one. I’ll wash it off first before coming back to help you with cooking,” he said, letting go of her and striding out of the kitchen.

Back in his room, Mo Xiuchen took off his shirt, leaving his upper body bare.

Not wanting to waste time, he didn’t even put on another shirt. Instead, he placed the stained one in a basin, filled it with water, added laundry detergent, and carefully scrubbed at the colored stains.

Downstairs in the kitchen, Wen Ran saw how much Mo Xiuchen cherished the shirt she had bought for him, feeling touched and heartbroken at the same time.

She secretly thought that once they were back in G City, she would definitely buy him several sets of clothes, not just shirts but also trousers, shoes, ties, and everything else.

In the past, when they were abroad, she had bought clothes for him, but Mo Xiuchen didn’t know about it.

So, the clothes he wore were those he had bought himself later. When he appeared at her home yesterday, he was wearing the shirt she had bought for him and last night, even though she had found him clothes, this morning, he still wore her shirt.

At that moment, Wen Ran was moved.

She had planned to wash his clothes after his evening bath, but unexpectedly, she dirtied them even before nightfall.

City C Airport.

In the crowded airport, Luo Haofeng was stunned to see Bai Xiaoxiao emerging from the security checkpoint along with Qi Meiling.

He simply couldn’t believe that Bai Xiaoxiao would be on the same flight as Qi Meiling.

“Brother Haofeng.”

With her sharp eyes, Qi Meiling spotted Luo Haofeng from the crowd. Even amid so many people, he stood out with exceptional handsomeness.

She called out joyfully, then turned her head to throw a smug glance at Bai Xiaoxiao before trotting over to Luo Haofeng, spreading her arms wide, ready to throw herself into his embrace.

Luo Haofeng’s brow furrowed as his gaze shifted past Qi Meiling to see Bai Xiaoxiao walking out from the security check with an expression of calm indifference, not even glancing their way. A pang of loss crossed his heart. He blocked Qi Meiling’s approaching form with his hand and said with a frown, “There are too many people here, stop making a fuss.”

“Brother Haofeng, then I’ll hug you when we get back home,” said Qi Meiling, her voice clear as a bell, deliberately loud enough for Bai Xiaoxiao to hear.

Unfortunately for her, Bai Xiaoxiao didn’t even spare her a glance and walked away on her own.

Luo Haofeng paid no attention to Qi Meiling and turned to leave.

Once outside the airport, Luo Haofeng caught up with Bai Xiaoxiao, who was ahead of him, and asked with concern, “Xiaoxiao, where are you headed? Let me give you a ride.”

Qi Meiling, not at all upset, chimed in cheerfully, “Yes, Miss Bai, where are you going? Brother Haofeng and I can take you.”

Bai Xiaoxiao’s face showed a professional, polite smile as she said distantly, “Thank you for the offer, but there’s no need; I’ll take a cab.”

Miss Bai, for a beautiful girl like you, what if you got into an unlicensed taxi? Brother Haofeng and I are free anyway, so let us take you. No matter what, you were once Brother Haofeng’s girlfriend. We can’t just let you take a cab alone.”

Luo Haofeng’s handsome face instantly darkened, his eyes casting a cold look over Qi Meiling. He suddenly realized that catching up with Xiaoxiao was a mistake in the first place.

He didn’t want her to get the wrong idea, but now, Xiaoxiao was probably even more mistaken.

And yet, he didn’t have the standing to explain anything to her. The feeling was like having one’s chest blocked by a pile of stones, a heavy burden making it hard to breathe.

Luo Haofeng managed a strained smile, “Xiaoxiao, just be careful then. Call me if you need anything.”

“There won’t be any issues,” Bai Xiaoxiao replied with a faint smile, then walked away.

At G City Airport, when Bai Xiaoxiao encountered Qi Meiling, she thought she was lying, but to her surprise, Luo Haofeng was indeed there to pick her up. Bai Xiaoxiao’s lips curled into a bitter smile, reassuring herself that since they’d broken up, his relationship with anyone else was none of her concern.

Luo Haofeng pursed his lips, standing still as he watched her departing figure. It wasn’t until she got into a taxi and sped away that he lowered his gaze and started walking towards the parking space where his car was parked.

Behind him, a hint of triumph flashed in Qi Meiling’s eyes. She sneered inwardly and quickly followed Luo Haofeng, asking cheerfully, “Brother Haofeng, shall we go eat Western food for lunch? Does that sound good?”

“Whatever.”

Luo Haofeng replied indifferently.

After getting into the car, Qi Meiling suggested a restaurant—it was the Western restaurant he’d taken her to for a meal after he picked her up last time. Luo Haofeng didn’t object. Soon enough, he could clear the air with her.
