Chapter 435: Who Was His Cousin?
12:25 PM, on the street beside the Roaring Dragon Mercenary Group’s secret base.
“Quick, you all follow me closely!”
Two male and two female players with the Roaring Dragon Mercenary Group insignia on their chests panted as they quickly rushed towards the Roaring Dragon Mercenary Group’s secret base.
The secret base wasn’t a military infrastructure, just an area of a few floors above and below ground in a large integrated commercial building.
Since it was a secret base, it naturally would not be as simple as typical commercial buildings, as the inside had gone through much modification such as adding many defense anti-detection facilities and complete surveillance.
This base also had an underground secret passageway, all the Roaring Dragon Mercenary Group players reached the busy commercial center region through the passageway and would also conceal their guild insignia when entering and leaving. Additionally, this base was officially opened for use not long before the Biohazard Crisis mission, thus average players did not know that this was a Roaring Dragon Mercenary Group base.
If it was not for the help of Black Rose, Feng Luo and the others would have needed to spend quite some time to find this base.
“Quick, everyone run quickly, it’s right in front!”
The four panting Roaring Dragon Mercenary Group players were namely a Light Armored Warrior and three Gunners.
The appearances of the two female players were very typical, as the sweat on their foreheads had ruined the makeup on their faces, and their faces were panicked and anxiousness.
Behind the four players, around the corner of the street, a group of players’ silhouettes were already charging over.
Over 10 Federation camp players, and at least half of the people had the Veterans Tribe bullet insignia on their chests.
After turning around the bend, the long-range players in the teams fired attacks at the four people fleeing at the front.
“Boom, whoosh!”
“Da, da, da...”
Fireballs and Wind Blades flew one after another, and bullets shot from submachine guns drew a series of projectiles through the air.
“Hurry, into the building!” The leading Gunner player among the four Roaring Dragon Mercenary Group players carrying a silver sci-fi submachine gun in his hands yelled.
As the opponents fired, they had already run to the entrance of the commercial building where the Roaring Dragon Mercenary Group’s secret base was. The four players hurriedly threw themselves inside, making a huge proportion of the long-range attacks miss, only shattering the door and some products.
“Brother Feng, what do we do next, run up towards the roof?” The only Light Armored Warrior among the four people was a female player, whose equipment was mostly red and whose voice when she spoke was so mesmerizing that anyone who heard it would feel like she was a beautiful lady full of attractiveness. But from the appearance under the alloy helmet, it would definitely be a huge disappointment.
However, it was also this kind of female player who would choose the Light Armored Warrior, unconstrained and fearless of such an exciting plot as the Biohazard Crisis.
“Huff...run? No need to run, we’re safe once we’re here.” The leading Gunner player said, panting but with a look of joy on his face. “My cousin told me before that this is one of the guild’s important secret bases, and he is inside right now. Other than him, there’re also a hundred Elite players.
“Huff...if these Federation camp players really dare to continue coming closer, they’ll be looking for their own deaths.” The Gunner player’s tone was very cocky as he willingly stopped in his tracks and turned his head back from behind a wall, stretching out his submachine gun and opened fire, shooting at the over 10 players outside attempting to make their way over.
“We’re saved! Brother Feng, you’re really awesome, actually even having Cousin in the Elite team. But since it’s a base, why do I not see anyone?” The red female Light Armored Warrior had joy on her face, her delighted voice capable of making the blood rush in some part of a person, but once linked to that miserable face of hers due to the ruined makeup, one would definitely have lost interest.
“This is a secret base, we’re now on the outer circle, but there’s definitely surveillance near here, we’d definitely be saved if they saw us from the surveillance office.” The Gunner player known as “Brother Feng” said with delight, then he yelled as he shot and tried to contain those Veterans Tribe players wanting to charge over. “Hey, the Veterans Tribe is close! I know that there’s definitely someone surveying here, could I trouble you to provide some people to come help us. If you save us, my cousin will definitely return you all the favor.”
......
In the secret base surveillance office only 70 meters away, a Roaring Dragon Mercenary Group Heavy Armored Warrior full of Rare equipment on him was pale-faced.
“Who is his cousin?” His gaze scanned angrily across all the people in the surveillance office and passing it on to the ears in the Communicators of all the players in the secret base through the internal channel, but no one spoke.
“Even if there’s really someone who’s this brat’s cousin, he wouldn’t dare to admit...” A player mumbled softly.
“Leader, what now? Do we save them?” There were more people whose gaze looked towards the Heavy Armored Warrior appointed to take responsibility by Roaring Dragon Lightwind.
“F*ck, of course there’s no need to worry. Have you all forgotten the command given to us by Leader Lightwind? This mission is only to protect the little NPC girl, no participating in the previous Tyrant-hunting movement and the city-protecting war now. Because of special reasons, we’ve already deployed 50 people to find that Sniper. If we go out there and kill this group of Veterans Tribe players, more people will be attracted as a result and cause the base to be exposed, who among y’all is going to take responsibility?” The Heavy Armored Warrior looked around at the people in the surveillance office, his face ugly.
“Leader, those brats are running towards the commercial area!” At that moment, there was a player shouting, pointing at the surveillance image.
The four players that ran in requesting for help waited for a while and realized that no one was coming out, then the Gunner had brought his men to rush in straight, targeting the commercial center.
The zombies in the commercial center had been cleared by the Roaring Dragon Mercenary Group, so they did not come across any obstacle at all, running quickly.
The target was straight towards the secret passageway door which could be entered through from the commercial center.
To know the entrance of this secret base so clearly must be due to the fact that there was really an internal member who was that leading Gunner player’s cousin.
“Leader...” The players in the surveillance office were a little grim.
Since the four players who were making a ruckus the whole way, more than 10 players from the Veterans Tribe and Federation camp were chasing them, had also rushed into the building. They were seemingly not as familiar with the environment as the four people were, their speed slowed down a bit after entering the building, but the Scout players’ Detection was able to find the players’ location.
Once they had been chased to the commercial area, they would very likely discover the secret base entrance and even the knowledge of a secret of the base, especially from the cousin loudly referred to by that leading Gunner.
He was afraid that the others would not know what situation was here.
“Don’t let me find out who this idiotic cousin is!” The in-charge player of the Roaring Dragon Mercenary Group in the base scolded as he viciously gave an order through the team channel.
“Open the door, get these four brats in first!”
