EVOLVING MY UNDEAD LEGION IN A GAME-LIKE WORLD
Chapter 202 - 202 Extraordinary Vs ExtraordinaryAt this point, if someone told Michael that his undead wasn’t an Extraordinary Rank creature, he’d fight them on the spot.
Prince had been bullied back and forth despite being a three-star Rare Rank beast.
Was this truly the might of a High Human at the peak of Rank 1?
Michael didn’t know—and didn’t need to. His undead was absurdly powerful.
It was more of a mage than Mage Lian himself and more of a knight than any knight in Lian’s group.
“100 Evolution Points for this? Totally worth it.”
But Michael wasn’t satisfied.
He had expected Prince to dominate the newly evolved undead. Yet, reality couldn’t have been further from his expectations.
To be brutally honest, Prince wasn’t enough to showcase the true extent of the Undead High Human Mage’s power.
Michael never thought a time would come when he’d think Prince was too incompetent for a task.
But it didn’t matter.
Just because Prince was weaker now didn’t mean it would always be weak.
With his talent, none of his undead were bound to remain ordinary.
For now, however, Prince had no choice but to accept its defeat.
“That’s enough!”
Michael’s voice echoed through the battlefield, drawing the attention of his two undead as he descended from the sky on his griffin.
“Prince, come here.”
The massive wolf obeyed without hesitation, but as it approached, Michael felt something off.
“…Why does it seem dissatisfied?”
The connection between them told him everything.
Prince’s mind was growing sharper.
In the battle just now, it had displayed a terrifying level of intelligence—far beyond what it had just days ago.
And now… it seemed to be developing its own thoughts and emotions.
Michael frowned, then reached out, parting the beast’s thick fur.
After a moment of hesitation, he spoke.
“You can go again another time.”
Instantly, a wave of happiness flooded their connection.
Michael found himself smiling subconsciously.
“…So it’s the competitive type?”He had never expected Prince to be the competitive type.
After dismissing the wolf back to the Netherworld, Michael turned his attention to his Undead High Human.
Stopping a short distance away, he took in the undead’s form. Despite the battle, it had suffered relatively little damage.
“How do you feel?”
The response came in a smooth, deep voice—thicker than before, filled with a weight that hadn’t been there prior.
“In what way, Master?”
Michael raised an eyebrow, slightly surprised.
“Seems like evolving enhanced its already high intelligence.”
He had already noticed as much during the fight, but hearing it speak so fluidly only confirmed his suspicions.
Regardless, Michael liked it.
“Your evolution,” he clarified.
The undead tilted its head slightly.
“This… is evolution?” It repeated the word in confusion before nodding to itself. “It can only be. I feel much stronger than before.”
Michael’s smile widened.
“Do you want to know just how much stronger?”
But before he could continue, the undead’s next words made his lips twitch.
“Yes, Master. That wolf earlier was too weak to push me.”
Michael froze.
That was his baby being talked about!
If it weren’t for the fact that the undead had spoken so innocently—and that it was, in fact, his own undead—he might have summoned his entire undead army to gang up on it.
Instead, he took a deep breath and forced a smile.
“It’s okay. I have a stronger opponent for you. Meet Lucky.”
As he stretched out his hand, a magic circle flared to life on the ground.
In an instant, a massive figure emerged.
Lucky.
At five meters tall, the beast was a giant.
Its stone-like gray fur shimmered faintly under the sunlight, tinged with hints of green. The thorned mane of writhing vines around its neck remained as fearsome as ever.
This was Michael’s only recognized Extraordinary Rank creature.
He turned back to his Undead High Human.
“What do you think?”
The undead studied Lucky for a long moment before nodding.
“This one’s presence is far more terrifying, Master. I shall fight it and not disgrace you.”
Meanwhile, Lucky gazed at the humanoid figure before it, its mind filled with confusion.
Why was this thing so powerful?
Michael simply grinned.
Saying nothing more, he leapt onto his Undead Griffin and took to the sky, leaving behind the same command as before.
The moment Michael gave the command, his Undead High Human acted.
Without hesitation, it lunged forward.
Lucky, however, was unfazed.
The massive beast stood its ground, muscles tensing beneath its stone-like fur.
And then, just as the Undead High Human closed the distance—
Boom!
Lucky’s paw lashed out like a battering ram.
The air trembled from the sheer force behind the attack, sending the Undead High Human skidding backward across the cracked earth.
Michael watched closely, eyes sharp.
As expected—Lucky was stronger.
Prince had struggled to keep up before.
Yet, even as the High Human recovered, there was no hesitation in its glowing eyes.
It simply adjusted its stance and raised a hand.
The air around it wavered.
Michael immediately recognized the shift.
A spell.
Fire spear.
Lucky sensed the danger.
The massive beast’s legs tensed, its mane of thorned vines writhing like a living entity.
And then—
The Fire Spear launched forward.
A streak of searing light tore through the battlefield, aimed straight at Lucky’s massive form.
Michael’s grip tightened on his griffi.
But Lucky…
Lucky didn’t dodge.
It didn’t even flinch.
Instead—
Boom!
Lucky met the spear head-on.
Flames exploded, embers scattering across the field.
Yet, when the smoke cleared—
Lucky was still standing.
Michael’s eyes widened slightly.
The attack had burned part of its fur, but that was all.
It had endured it.
It made one really wonder just how strong that beast in the tower must have been in its weakened state.
Lucky let out a low, rumbling growl.
Then, without hesitation, it charged.
Michael smirked.
This fight was far from over.
For the next few moments, magic, fists, vines, and claws clashed in a relentless battle for supremacy.
Spells erupted. Fists struck like hammers. Vines lashed out, unyielding. Claws tore through the air.
Neither side held back.
But after a long and grueling struggle—
A winner finally emerged.
