Chapter 833: The White Perch

Chapter 833: The White Perch

Abaddon didn’t have the time to spare a glare at Lyon’s haughty words. He had indeed been taken to a tight spot by the latter. His status was not someone insignificant for his presence here meant business was about to be held. However, seeing the two of their aces were facing the floor and tied up, it was not the situation.

“Burning Fist! What is the meaning of this?!” said one of the adventurers from the guild. “Why are Amsel and Boto both tied up with their eyes facing backward?!”

“I-uh,” Abaddon was tongue-tied. He wasn’t ready to face the masses at all, nor was he suspecting that Lyon will use him this way.

“Well, there has been a misunderstanding,” said Lyon.

“And who are you?” asked one of the guild members.

“Hey wait, I know him! He was the one challenging Boto at the entrance,” said one of the adventurers as he pointed at Lyon with his finger.

“Are you a fan?” asked Lyon as he inevitably made the situation worse.

( You!! ) Abaddon had his ears twitching as his eyes opened wide— glaring at the young man in a cloak, beside him.

“The White Crow demands an answer, this is a serious matter,” a solemn voice came down from the upper floor as if a calm storm was approaching.

Lyon raised one of his brows as he saw a man taking down the stairs.

He had a defining jawline and his white garb covered his limbs nicely. His shoes were made out of beast leather, and his sword had one edge. His eyes were purple violet, as sharp as the crow itself. The clothing had embroidered a huge white crow on the back, revealing his identity to the masses that wanted to take his head out of surprise.

“The White Perch,” said Abaddon as he furrowed his brows. ( Shit, never thought that the second-in-command would be here in Farvan City ) thought Abaddon as he gulped.

“The what?” Lyon raised one of his brows.

“Abaddon, you can answer me officially, or unofficially, which one do you prefer?” asked the man who silenced the whole guild with his mere steps.

Abaddon let out a wry smile. ( Goddamnit! What did I dream yesterday to have a problem like this? Sein, you’re a bad omen! ) however, the man that he was cursing, was still light on the shoulders.

“White Perch,” Abaddon said, “The fact that you still have your hand behind your back, means that my burning flame is nothing but a whisk away from your sword.”

“Experience is the greatest teacher,” said The White Perch before his tone turned gravely, “Unless you want to experience it again.”

“I know you can’t touch me,” said Abaddon with a forced smile. “If you move, then there might be a war that you don’t want.”

“I know you won’t,” said The White Perch before he smirked and looked down at Abaddon’s legs, “After all, you already took a step back.”

“?!” Abaddon raised his brows before he noticed that his feet had already retreated. The instinct that he had honed over the hundreds and thousands of battles had told him to flee from this man. However, everyone noticed something that was abrupting their train of thought.

Every pupil suddenly moved in unison no matter what rank they were. There was one man standing aloofly with his sigh. He let go of the rope in his hand and it thuds freely to the floor. His every action was courting their attention.

( He?! ) Abaddon gulped as he saw the man called Sein standing right beside The White Perch without having a sign of nervousness, not even the slightest faint of a hint. He saw the man that made him take a step back had his eyes turned sharp as he leered at the man beside him.

( Shit, the man is serious! ) thought Abaddon before he said, “U-Um, White Perch, he is—”

The White Perch burst his presence and clocked Abaddon’s throat. The former was now the epicenter of attention. There was hardly anyone else daring to let out a word from their brimming thoughts. The matter was between the two of them.

A stranger out of the blue had taken out two Five-Stars Adventurers of their guild. He tied them up in a rope before showing them to their front door with half of his face covered by the hood that he was wearing. Furthermore, he was here alongside Abaddon, a renowned adventurer himself.

“Who are you?” asked the White Perch, “Are you the one that knocked the two of them out.”

“No,” said Lyon flatly even when he was facing the bursting immense aura coming out from the White Perch.

( He can withstand it! A mere True God?! ) he furrowed his brows further. The man in front of him was only shrouded more in mystery than before. “Are you here on ill-intent?”

“No,” Lyon turned and crossed his arms right in front of him before giving out his usual smirk. “In fact, I’m here to return these two to you, White Perch.”

The adventurers gawked at his response. Nobody dared to disrespect the second-in-command in their guilds before, thus some made a light chuckle after the initial surprise.

“The guy is dead…” muttered one adventurer.

“Did he actually think that he is capable of fighting The White Perch of The White Crow? Is he stupid or something? If Boto is a mountain then White Perch is the freaking sun!” said one adventurer.

“Oh…” gravelly said The White Perch before his killing intent surged. He twitched his brows before a small-focused gale fluttered away Lyon’s hair. “Tell me what happened to them.”

“Hmm?” Lyon’s eyes caught one of his hair fluttering about in the air, with a pinch. He rolled it between his fingers before he smirked, “That’s pretty sharp, not bad.”

The adventurers gasped in disbelief. The young man was edging for it.

( Oi!!!! ) Abaddon screamed inwardly at the top of his thought, even his veins inside his temple popped as he clenched his jaws as if he couldn’t wait to find the next restroom.

“Well, anyway, here is the two of them, make sure they don’t bother me again, alright, White Perch,” said Lyon before he laughed and turned around. All that pressure that the latter was building up onto the former’s shoulder was shredded naturally as he stepped out with no weight holding him down.

“Tch!” The White Perch clicked his tongue before he made a stomp forward. “Hold it.”

A gale was produced from the stomp as dust withered away. Lyon’s cloak was fluttering before he paused as everyone heard a blade grazing against its sheath.

“Make one more step, then I will cut your head,” said The White Perch. “Explain what happened to them first, then I will consider letting you go.”

“Heh,” Lyon smirked before he turned around the sharp blade was pointed against his neck but he still kept his smile.

The White Perch frowned. The young man in front of him didn’t even flinch even when death was a swing away from his blade. ( Either he is a fool or he is crazy, however ) he darted over at the two of his guild members laying down unconscious.

“Boto was it,” said Lyon as he pointed at the man with his ax tied up to his back. “He made a scene at the inn I was staying, furthermore, he had the balls to annoy the other guests, and especially my wife, so he got a punch to the gut from my underling.”

( Underling? ) The White Perch raised his brows. “How about Amzel?”

Lyon shrugged, “He was being haughty, flaring the mightiness of your guild, and talking about teaching me a lesson after he watched Boto on the street.”

“Why is his head turned bloody?” asked The White Perch.

“Another lesson, by pushing his face to the ground that is,” said Lyon with a smile before he shrugged again. “After all, he was trying to burst through my room, I just paid for it, you know it’s not cheap in this city.”

“Are you serious…?” said The White Perch.

“A lot of people there saw it, you can ask Abaddon here, I’m sure he won’t lie,” laughed Lyon heartily despite having a sword pointing at him.

The White Perch immediately darted over to Abaddon before the latter was seen smiling wryly and nodded.

“I’m sure my action is justified, you must have heard how rowdy they are, I doubt it’s their first time,” said Lyon as he crossed his arms and raised his chin, revealing the fresh neck that was one swing away.

The White Perch frowned before he sheathed back his sword under their disbelieving eyes.

“Heh,” Lyon smirked. “At least you understand.”

He turned around before waving at him, “I’ll be hunting for the Cockatrice tomorrow, so if you have any further questions, meet me at the field, doubt I will answer it though! Hahahaha!”

The White Crow had his eyes wide open upon hearing the word, “A Cockatrice?!”
