“Poof!” A wisp of golden light aimed to burn Li Qiye. However, instead of burning the flesh, it ignited his desire until there was nothing left.

Li Xian was no coward but that power was otherworldly. The fact that he could recover was a testament to his courage.

“That was a dream?” Li Xian shuddered.

“I suppose calling it desire is more accurate. Just a tiny bit is enough to burn and drag you to the abyss.” Li Qiye said.

Li Xian thought he lacked ambition and desires. Alas, that golden light still affected him.

“Well, opposing is certainly courting death.” Li Qiye gazed deeper into Old Ruins.
