“You really managed to surprise me Ziyan, when did you learn the Heavens Swallowing the Dragon and the Dew of Moon Goddess techniques? To think you got to them already…”, Wu Long asked as Hua Ziyan collapsed onto his chest.
Her breathing was rough and quick, as after she finished pleasuring him with her mouth, and they cuddled for some time, him giving her grateful kisses and showering her with compliments, she climbed on to him to get her final reward (since she considered the previous part a reward in itself), though still adamant that he stay relaxed and left everything to her.
True to his word, he didn’t make any attempts to take away the initiative from her until the very end, staying relaxed and allowing her to
His words brought a smile to her face.
First, she nailed the techniques on her first try in action. Which wasn’t guaranteed even if she did a lot of image training in her head. Of course, she got progressively better in the process just now as she got the hang of it.
Second, she really managed to make a surprise for him in secret without him noticing or guessing beforehand. Although, it was also thanks to the fact he had to be away for certain periods of time to do things like visiting the palace or his little adventure with Hong Yue, or dealing with the Sects on the Soft Meadow Continent, and so on, going back to the time he wasn’t able to visit Fen Baihu’s Dream Realm months ago.
Despite being continuously ‘drained’ of Yang Qi the past few hours, Wu Long was invigorated, recovering much of his stamina, partially healing self-inflicted damage, and restoring quite a bit of Spiritual Qi, at least enough to not feel tired.
All of this was because Hua Ziyan used quite advanced Dual Cultivation techniques for women, both of which aimed at helping the male partner recover from either severe injuries or fatigue.
The second technique he mentioned, the Dew of Moon Goddess allowed her to infuse her Yin Qi into her saliva, and not just that, but make the concentration of it quite dense, as well as not lose potency or quality compared to regular physical manifestation of Yin Qi.
The first one, Heavens Swallowing the Dragon, allowed her to channel that Yin Qi from the Dew of Moon Goddess with special inner circulation into the male partner without the latter having to even make any effort to absorb it, pushing the Yin Qi into him, and without requiring the male partner to even move much.
“Well, after all, I took over the Twin Essence Palace from Master, so I thought I needed to step up and be worthy of the title of Palace Master…”, she started, making Wu Long think with an inward chuckle that neither Lian Zhiqiu, nor even her Teacher, Liang Yuhan, who in previous life also started a small Dual Cultivation Sect, were as diligent as Hua Ziyan about being a leader of a Dual Cultivation Sect.
One used hers to basically farm Yin and Yang Qi and converting it through the formation as well as natural Qi of the Heaven and Earth of the Sect’s Spiritual Land to power the scroll with which she cultivated.
The other used her Sect as a hiding place from those who might seek her, never intending to make the Sect a powerful one, because a powerful Sect would attract too much attention. In fact she did everything to make the Sect unappealing to even those who would be potentially considering to take it over from the outside, or gain power within it on the inside.
Not to mention the two being Sect Masters of Dual Cultivation Sects while being virgins before he appeared.
So technically, for Hua Ziyan to step up – in relative terms – would be just taking at least some interest in the Twin Essence Palace matters. But, of course, that wasn’t enough in her eyes.
“…and I also gained access to all the secret tomes and scrolls that Master kept locked away. I read all of them in the time we were all busy in the first few months of arriving in the Boundless Profound World. A lot of it was just esoteric technical literature as well as incomplete minor legacies, but I still learned a lot. I also made it a point to learn every valid and useful, non-harmful technique used by a female Dual Cultivator that Master collected over the years…”
As Hua Ziyan was speaking Wu Long started to understand just how seriously she took the role of a Palace Master. It was not something nominal, for show, she needed to be worthy of it to carry it with pride.
“…and I also read through the jade slips you gave me, though I asked Mingyu for help a bit”, she chuckled.
“Wait, all of it? Already?”, Wu Long widened his eyes.
The jade slips she was talking about was a large collection of Dual Cultivation materials, techniques and technical knowledge on Yin and Yang Qi that Wu Long recorded for her to study over the next few years. It was a vast array of tomes, scrolls and texts that had to be thought about and meditated on.
Wu Long didn’t spend long creating them. After all, the good thing about jade slips was that unlike scrolls one had to write on, as long as the one creating the jade slip knew what they were doing, and had a good grasp on Soul Power and Spiritual Qi control, as well as held a clear understanding of what they wanted to put down in writing, an immense amount of knowledge could be recorded in a few minutes time. They also did not take up nearly as much space to carry around.
The two techniques she used today were also part of that collection, a bit further along than where he thought she was reading, though he turned out to be massively wrong about the speed at which she went through the texts.
“Well, I didn’t say I comprehended all of it, but I read and memorized it all”, she chuckled, a light blush appearing on her cheeks.
He shook her head, adding “That’s still incredible, Ziyan”
She then continued her speech, “…and when I learned that Great Teache-… ah, no, Sister Yuhan, was also a Dual Cultivation Sect leader once, I asked her to share her knowledge with me… though I slightly cheated as I asked Mingyu and Sister Baihu to help”
Wu Long raised his eyebrow, a sudden thought appearing in his mind as to where this was going.
“So Sister Yuhan, with the help of the two transferred the entirety of her knowledge about Dual Cultivation to me yesterday while you were at the palace”, Hua Ziyan finished.
Wu Long shook his head at her dedication bringing her closer into his embrace and kissing her on the forehead, “You really worked hard, Ziyan. And that’s not cheating at all”
Obviously, Hua Ziyan took the idea of direct transfer of knowledge from the moment when Luo Mingyu taught Fen Baihu the Dual Extremes Infinite Union Art, as well as from their later session between Wu Long, Luo Mingyu, Fen Baihu and Song Lingfei.
However, the second one apart, since that concerned accessing knowledge contained within the bloodline they had, looking within, the reason the first one looked easy was because the one receiving the knowledge was Fen Baihu, technically an enormous mass of near-infinite consciousness that took the form of a fox.
In actuality, receiving knowledge of another in such a pure form was a tremendous strain on the mind, and Hua Ziyan likely had to suffer through quite a bit of headache to obtain and then digest all of that massive knowledge distilled into pure concepts and compressed enough to transfer at a manageable bandwidth and in such a short amount of time, even if it took a few hours.
She smiled, feeling his care, and as if reassuring she was fine, laid her head on his shoulder, snuggling into his hug.
“Actually, I was thinking…”, she then cautiously started, “Remember you told us that while you had a lot of theoretical knowledge about Yin Qi, a woman’s physique and about Dual Cultivation from the female side, it was still less effective than your knowledge about Yang Qi and Dual Cultivation from the male side no matter how you tried to bridge that gap, because the devil is in the details, and lacking actual experience of being a woman was always going to leave that tiny bit?”
“Of course, that is why even if I create Dual Cultivation techniques for women that are superior to any existing ones that I know of, they are still slightly inferior to the ones I create for men”, Wu Long nodded.
After all, it was one of the conundrums he was facing. His cultivation going forward would massively depend on development of the Yin Qi of his ladies.
But all his previous life what he was focused on was how to improve his Yang Qi, not how to improve Yin Qi for women, even if he did that as a side research. So while even now he could think of many ways to improve his Yang Qi, it was to an extent a two-sided sword.
If he improved his Yang Qi, he would propel the cultivation of his ladies when they cultivated, which would, yes, increase the power of their Yin Qi allowing him to raise his cultivation as well, but the gap would continue growing between how much his Yang Qi affected their cultivation and how much their Yin Qi would affect his cultivation.
In such a case, it was not the best strategy to recklessly improve his Yang Qi without first creating ways forward to keep their Yin Qi powerful enough to match.
“Well”, she raised her head to look at him, placing both hands on top of his chest and resting her chin on top, “You know how you told me to think about what I wanted, as well as what I dreamed about doing. I think… I came up with something. What if I tried to… gradually learn what you know about Yin Qi and… try to create more powerful Yin Qi techniques together with you…”
Surprise appeared in his eyes yet again as it seemed that Hua Ziyan’s ambition was far more than just to be the most skilled and knowledgeable Dual Cultivator among his women, befitting her title of the Twin Essence Palace Master, but to step even further and start on a path to lead the charge in developing Yin Qi of his Dao Family and the Frozen Garden Palace.
If she, as a female Dual Cultivator was working on her Yin Root and Yin Qi, helping others along the way, with enough help from him and perhaps eventually on her own, she would mirror his efforts in enhancing his Yang Root and Yang Qi. After all, he still had to balance all of them, so even incremental increase of pace on their side would already allow him to up his pace of improving his Yang Qi, without artificially stalling.
Meanwhile, Hua Ziyan continued, “That way you will have more time and attention to concentrate on other things. It is just that you are balancing so much… with the Dao Runes, Bloodlines, your new experimental Body Tempering Technique, which includes but is not limited to your own Yang Root and Yang Qi, your new cultivation path which is full of mysteries… as well as developing all the cores, helping each of us with our martial arts training… on top of training your own martial skills and trying to breach bottlenecks of skill we cannot even fathom, and also thinking of methods for us to strengthen our Yin Qi on top of that… so I thought… if I was able to take at least one of those off of your shoulders…”
As she was speaking, a pondering expression appeared in his eyes. A slight hesitation to put the burden on her on one hand, and an incredible warm and fuzzy feeling from feeling how much she cared and wanting to help.
His hands around her slightly moved, bringing her a bit up so that he could more directly look into her eyes.
And then a smile touched his lips as he nodded, relinquishing another bit of what he was carrying to one of his ladies. Previously, he did it with Ye Ling who helped him keep an eye on the emotional state of his ladies as well as be their support, then with Luo Mingyu who was constantly helping him to elevate everyone to new levels, with Yu Huan who now took care of all Alchemy related issues completely, and now with Hua Ziyan, who took up the challenge of paving the way on the Yin side of Dual Cultivation.
Of course, for the time being, just like Luo Mingyu and Yu Huan still relied on his guidance, Hua Ziyan will also heavily depend on his knowledge and experience, but it was already a move toward taking that burden from his shoulders, and freeing his mind to concentrating on something else.
But what made him the most happy is that it was something she really wanted, even if it would ultimately be benefiting him. She had finally found something she truly wanted, not just being helpful to others, but an ambition of her own.
“Thank you, Ziyan”, those words filled her with indescribable joy as her eyes lit up.
He leaned forward as she leaned down and they kissed. She felt the tenderness and gratitude in his kiss, but more importantly, she felt how much she was loved.
When their lips parted, she smiled with a light giggle, “To be honest, it’s not entirely altruistic, you know? You once said that by constantly enhancing your Yang physique you reached an acquired Extreme Yang Physique made with your own efforts. I was thinking that if I became an expert in the Yin side of Dual Cultivation, I could acquire an Extreme Yin Physique then, I can’t be the only one without one, right?
She chuckled, as Wu Long understood she indeed had a hidden personal goal, though it was more of a joke on her part. After all, her closest friends were Luo Mingyu and Shen Min, both possessing Extreme Yin Physiques. He smiled, and they laughed as he rolled over and hovering over her went in for another kiss.
