Chapter 3521: Another Direction
Space Warped, the formation on the surroundings of the building activated, preventing the Spatial Distortions caused by the huge Super Long-Distance Teleport Formation from escaping to the city. Finally, an extremely bright silver light followed, and when it dissipated, two women and a man could be seen on top of the Formation.
The woman in the middle, obviously the one in charge of their group, came down first, followed by her two subordinates. They were all Camazotz Bats, and they had been sent to this place to investigate the sudden appearance of an impersonator.
Normally, the Supreme Palace wouldn’t even bother sending anyone. Sure, trying to impersonate a Camazotz Bat was a huge crime in this Universe. But then again, it wasn’t like the Supreme Palace could send Camazotz Bats down every time something like this happened. Just how big was the universe? How many idiots were out there? There were always those who just didn’t know the danger they were messing with.
That said, such investigations would usually be done by the locals, with the order to find and kill being the norm. They had to locate whoever tried to do that, if they hadn’t done that already to start with.
That said, why would the Supreme Palace send three of the Camazotz Bats down here to investigate this impersonator? The reason was in the aura Rifindio carried when he appeared in the Teleport Building. As mentioned before, the aura of Camazotz Bats was recorded in the databases so the experts working in the teleport building could recognize a real Camazotz Bat. Well, Rifindio’s Aura was pretty much the same as a Camazotz, so something wasn’t right. That’s why the Supreme Palace sent three Camazotz Bats down to investigate.
"Who’s in charge here?" The woman leading that group asked with a cold expression. Her name was Jujufa, an Elemental Space Realm Camazotz Bat in the Late Stage.
The other two Camazotz Bats by her sides were Griren and Laua, both in the Space Bending Realm Peak Stage.
"I’m here, senior," Klocavan quickly stepped forward. "I was the one who sent the request for an ID."
Jujufa nodded. "Has the target returned yet?"
Klocavan shook his head in response. "We told him the formation would be ready in two hours, but he didn’t come back to check. After we received the information from the Supreme Palace, we immediately sent all our guards and experts to look for him. Yet, he completely disappeared. However, we locked down the city, and we didn’t see anyone with his description trying to leave. We believe the guy might still be here."
"Bring me to the recordings and show me the residual aura he left behind. I want to check it myself," Jujufa spoke, and they left the teleport building after that.
Meanwhile, Rean, Roan, and Kentucky were once again back in the building from before. They watched the teleport building in the distance, and they saw how the space warped there. It was simply impossible for the residents of the city to not notice when the Super Long-Distance Teleport Formation was activated.
"Well, seems like our new friends arrived," Rean said, sipping some of the tea on his table.
"It wasn’t only one," Roan narrowed his eyes. As soon as those three new Camazotz Bats appeared, they spread their Divine Senses. That said, the twins’ group caught their presence instantly. "They sent three bats down."
"What about the city?" Kentucky couldn’t help but ask. "It is locked down, and there is a Divine Realm guy watching all over it. Anything strange, and he will appear in an instant. Can we really capture one of those Camazotz Bats without anyone noticing?"
"Oh! There is no need to worry. We only need a moment," Rean explained.
A few hours went by, and the search all over the city for this fake Camazotz Bat continued. Every building, regardless of who owned them, was checked from top to bottom. Any Pocket Dimensional Realm entrance found was attacked from outside, forcing their owners to come out to see what was happening.
Fortunately, there was still the belief that a Pocket Dimensional Realm couldn’t hold anyone with a cultivation higher than the Pocket Dimensional Realm’s owner. Even in this advanced empire, this rule still applied. That served to show how peculiar the Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm, which already had this ability when it was the Soul Gem Dimensional Realm, was. Such cultivation limitations didn’t exist for the twins’ group, and no one knew about it in this Universe.
When Rifindio appeared, he let everyone know about his cultivation. That said, it was pretty obvious he was in the Space-Bending Realm Peak Stage. That also meant there was no need to check any Pocket Dimensional Realm of experts below that realm and stage.
At some point, the guards of the city reached Rean, Roan, and Kentucky in the building, and they cooperated fully. They were only Space-Bending Realm Initial Stage experts, so there was no need to check the insides of their Pocket-Dimensional Realms. Their IDs were checked, and after seeing there wasn’t anything wrong, the guards went to the next room.
"Okay, this should be about enough," Roan said. "Kentucky, you stay here. The idiot and I will make our move."
Kentucky knew what they were going to do and was more than happy to sit on the sidelines. "Sure, good luck!"
At the city center, a few experts floated in midair, several of them being part of the authorities in the city, while three of them had just arrived a few hours ago. Naturally, those three were the Camazotz Bats.
"Nothing yet?" Jujufa asked in a cold tone.
Koclavan sweated cold. "The entire city is looking for that impersonator, senior Jujufa. Also, I did say we believe the impersonator is still in the city, but that is not guaranteed. After all, we didn’t try to bar anyone from leaving the city until we found out about the fraud. That guy might have left while pretending to be someone else again."
Jujufa narrowed her eyes. "No, he is still here. I’m certain of that."
Suddenly, one of Jujufa’s disciples noticed something, looking in another direction.
