Chapter 3456: The Cost
That wasn’t exactly the kind of reaction they expected from Celis. However, they didn’t have time to talk with the big tree. As they already expected, the system activated.
[Disparity in cultivation detected.]
[Due to the new cultivation technique being used by the hosts, suppressing the World Swallow Cedar’s cultivation won’t be enough. The hosts now have three choices:]
[One, completely cut off all connections with the entity known as Celis. Once that is done, cultivation won’t be shared anymore. Target’s cultivation will be suppressed to the Space-Time Realm indefinitely.]
[Two, eliminate all cultivation progress of the entity known as Celis. Hosts won’t be able to progress with their cultivation until the World Swallow Cedar’s cultivation catches up to the hosts’ cultivation.]
[Three, Eliminate all of the World Swallowing Cedar’s Cultivation. Then, share the actual existing cultivation level of the hosts and the entity known as Kentucky with the target.]
Perhaps it was because Celis was the main target of those options, but he also heard the system’s voice. "What the hell?!"
[Warning: Due to the huge cultivation disparity, the hosts have ten seconds to decide before the first option automatically takes place. The system can’t hold the decision any longer, as the presence of the entity known as Celis will be detected in the Divine Snow World. Its cultivation is bigger than the limit of the Divine Snow World, which is the Space-Time Realm.]
Indeed, Celis was in the Divinity Realm and at the peak stage on top of that. No Divinity Realm being goes undetected in the Divine Snow World... expect that seal, it seems.
Ten seconds wasn’t much, that’s for sure. Fortunately, Divine Sense Messages existed, so Rean quickly resumed the entire situation in a single go. ’Quick, decide which one you want.’
Celis had many questions, especially since Rean only explained the problem with the cultivation and not what was happening here. What was this place? Where had they been all this time? Why was he dragged here? Those questions would have to wait. Celis could see the urgency of making a choice, so he used the next seconds to focus on the explanation regarding cultivation.
The first option seemed the best one. In this case, Celis wouldn’t lose his Divinity Realm cultivation and would only have it suppressed to the Space-Time Realm. Most likely, it would be at the Peak Stage. Perhaps it would come back to normal later.
The second and third options required him to give up all his cultivation. Normally, Celis would never even think about that possibility. But that was until Rean told him in the Divine Sense Message about the changes. By doing that, he would switch to the Celestial Soul Bloodline Cultivation Technique. Rean made it very clear that the bloodline alone was a step above Regal Bloodlines, let alone Divine Bloodlines like Celis’ own type.
It took Celis two seconds to assimilate all the information, and the last seven seconds would be used to make the decision. The first thing he was certain was that he would not select the first option. Sure, he wouldn’t lose his cultivation, but how could he ignore the idea of having a bloodline even stronger than a Regal Bloodline? For a Divine Demon Tree like him, Celis was well aware of what it meant to have a superior bloodline in the world of Demon Beasts. Let’s not forget that even Demon Trees or Plants were also considered Demon Beasts. There was also the Celestial Soul part.
Then comes his next problem. He was taken away from Lisan Universe. That much was obvious after he heard their comments as soon as he arrived. That meant he probably wouldn’t have access to a way to breakthrough anytime soon. Even if he selected the first option and still had that Green Core, his cultivation would still be suppressed by the system for some reason he isn’t familiar with. Naturally, it was a more prolonged torture to know he wouldn’t be able to cultivate for even longer.
In the last three seconds, Celis made his decision, but he also needed the twins and Kentucky’s opinion. ’Alright, I’ll go for the second or third option. Which one do you think will be best.’
Roan answered without thinking twice. ’Third option. If you select the second option, you will be useless for quite a while. With the third option, Rean, Kentucky, and I will lose some of our cultivation progress, but we will all be able to cultivate together. Not to mention, you will have some strength of your own straight away.’
Celis accepted. ’Okay, let’s go for that. You better be ready to hear a lot from me when all this shit is over! Sigh... the Celestial Realm... It was so close...’
The twins’ group didn’t know what Celis was talking about, but they didn’t have time to ask. In the last second, the twins selected the third option.
[Order received. Starting process.]
Immediately, Celis felt like he had become a dry trunk. All his cultivation disappeared without a trace, dissipating in the air as if it had never been there to start with. He wasn’t even considered a Demon Plant anymore, now finding himself below Stage One.
His size as a World Swallowing Cedar quickly shrank. Huge chunks of his bark fell like dead wood, his leaves dried out, and many of his branches fell. By the time the elimination of his cultivation was over, Celis couldn’t even be considered a tree anymore. He looked more like a simple sapling, all the dead material around reminding him of what his body looked like a moment ago.
That didn’t last long either, of course. Once the process of getting rid of Celis’ cultivation was over, Celis immediately felt his connection with the twins and Kentucky intensifying. The connection that he hadn’t felt for so long is back now, and with that, all the advantages of being connected to the system.
Soon, Celis’ cultivation began to grow as a huge amount of Sky Energy entered his body... at the cost of Rean, Roan, and Kentucky’s cultivation.
