In the entirety of the Dark Guild, Harvey was the strongest when it came to using Dark Magic, and the main reason for that was due to his affinity with it being so high. He had dark magic for the longest time, and one way of increasing someone’s affinity with the Darkness was to kill with it.
He had been waiting a long time for the Dark Magus, biding his time, growing his power. With his position, he was able to get away with it easier and had plenty of targets to test his Dark Magic powers on.
The condensed dark magic looked as if it had formed an image directly behind his back, hovering over parts of his body, making Harvey himself appear even bigger than he was.
"Today will be the day people will learn the strength of the Dark Guild," Harvey claimed.
"And everyone will see just how corrupt dark magic is!" Azbeth leapt forward, pushing wind magic from behind him, allowing him to move forward with an immense amount of speed.
As his sword was lifted in the air, he struck straight down. Harvey lifted both of his hands, with the Dark magic covering them, managing to block the attack.
As the sword hit, sparks of lightning went off in all sorts of different directions, and they were heading for the different parts of Harvey’s body. The small sparks hit him, though they did nothing, as the dark magic disintegrated part of it.
Harvey smiled as he took one hand away, and with his palm, he fired out a beam of dark energy straight at Azbeth.
Quickly, Azbeth spun his body and avoided the strike, and struck from the side with his sword, but the attack was blocked once again.
Azbeth didn’t stop with his strikes as he continued to try and hit Harvey. The two of them were going at it at an incredibly fast pace. Harvey would block with his hands, and when he got the chance, he would use Dark pulses of energy to try and fire at Azbeth. However, Azbeth had a keen sense, and it was almost like he could predict every time Harvey was going to use such an attack.
"What’s wrong, is the fight not going the way you expected it to?" Azbeth asked. "I’m a guild leader of the Orian Guild. Did you think I would be easy to go up against?"
A strange black tentacle had reached out from Harvey’s hand, but Azbeth swiftly moved again, and a few strikes were struck by his sword, releasing lightning. Although it didn’t seem to hurt Harvey, as the strikes hit his body, the dark magic surrounding his body looked to be diminishing bit by bit and was fading away.
"Everyone here watching you, supporting you. If I deal with you, the rest will lose morale. It’s quite clear that you’re the strongest out of this pack!" Azbeth thrust his sword forward, and a large lightning strike hit.
Harvey had managed to catch the sword with both of his hands, but as the lightning hit his chest, he was zapped and pushed across the stage.
"I’ll take you out now!" Azbeth started to run in circles around Harvey. As he did, lingering wind magic was being used, and it was forming a tornado of sorts around Harvey. Wind was obstructing the view from the outside.
Eventually, Azbeth pulled out, jumping from the wind, and lifted his sword in the air. "There are many ways for a magic swordsman to fight. It’s not the swordsmanship itself that is important, but the way one utilizes the magic with the sword. I can attack directly and attack from the outside as well!"
Lightning left Azbeth’s sword and hit the tornado. As it entered, it was creating a large vortex of attacks. Constant lightning was striking the center. The spells were combining into quite the storm, all directed at Harvey. Read latest chapters at NovelBin.Côm
One of the dark mages went to move forward until another by his side pulled him back. "No," the Dark Mage member stated. "The magister did not ask for our help. You are to stay with your orders."
Eventually, the storm started to die down, and Azbeth was expecting victory. For the man to be struck so many times in the center of his storm, he would be out on the ground, and he still had plenty of magic left to use to get rid of the other Dark Magic scum if they decided to put up some type of resistance. ℞ἈŊОВËꞩ
Instead, though, as the winds faded, in its place was the man he was fighting. There was a large body of darkness, hunched over. It soon began to move, as it lifted itself, and the man in robes looked to be completely unhurt.
’That dark energy that was covering him at its back. This guy is more resilient than I thought.’
The dark energy, though, rather than lingering from his body, looked to have separated from it. It moved across the ground and started to strike with its arms. The ends of them sharpened, pointed like a spear, coming right at Azbeth.
With his sword, he managed to knock both of them away and was continually fighting against it. Then, from his eye, he could see that the robed man was still standing and completely fine.
"The Dark Magic detached from your body, it’s like a puppet. How is this possible?" Azbeth stated.
"Hahha, this is my Breakthrough mixed with my Dark Magic," Harvey claimed.
Azbeth continued to fight against the puppet while watching Harvey just standing there from the side, with the annoying smile wide on his face.
"Your Breakthrough, so you’ve just managed to delay your end even further. I can already tell!" Azbeth slashed his sword down, hitting the shadow puppet’s arm, and then with his other hand, he twisted it, and lightning sparked from above, landing on top of the puppet’s head.
"That if this is your final card to play, then it will be the end."
"Oh, you think I’m worried?" Harvey replied. "This stage was never set for me to begin with…I’m not the one that you need to worry about!"
