Chapter 2055: Location of the Remaining Two Ancient Seals

Chapter 2055: Location of the Remaining Two Ancient Seals

“Stand up. There’s no need to be so formal. Just tell me what I need to know, and I’ll quickly be on my way,” Yuan said to the man kowtowing on the floor.

The man nodded and stood up before asking, “What do you wish to know, God of War? All of our intel is at your disposal.”

“I’d like to know where the Ancient Seals to unlock the Primordial Realm are right now,” Yuan said.

“The Ancient Seals, huh… We’ll have to look at our records, but I’m sure we already have this information since the Commander asked us to look into it several years ago.”

“How long will it take?”

“It shouldn’t take long. A few hours at most.”

“Alright. I’ll wait here then.”

“Would you like some tea while you wait?”

Yuan shook his head.

“As you wish. Please excuse me while I retrieve the information now.”

The man bowed to Yuan again before leaving the room to look for the information he requested.

While he waited, Yuan retrieved the Mystic Sword Tablet to study it. Now that he’d perfected Supreme Sword Aura, he only had two things he needed to do—fuse it with his body and attain the Supreme Sword Body and achieve a realm even higher than Supreme Sword Aura.

A few hours later, the leader of the Dusk Intelligence returned to the room with two scrolls in his grasp.

“This is the information you requested, God of War.” The leader said as he offered it to Yuan as if he were giving an offering to a god.

“Thank you.”

Yuan accepted the scrolls and immediately opened them to read.

Moments later, he rubbed his eyes and sighed.

“A-Are the information not satisfactory…?” The leader swallowed nervously after seeing Yuan’s reaction.

“Hm? No, that’s not it. I was just thinking that this will become a bit pain in the ass,” said Yuan as he waved the scrolls in the air.

“Is that so…”

“Anyway, I’d like to request more information, specifically about the two families listed here,” he continued.

“As you command. I will be right back.” The leader bowed before leaving again.

Once he was alone again, Yuan looked at the scrolls and mumbled, “The Rising Phoenix Clan and the Heavenly White Tiger Clan, huh?”

He was already familiar with one of these names, the Heavenly White Tiger Clan. Not only was their Ancestor one of the Nine Divine Supremes, but he had some run-ins with their current young generation.

“Young Master, I know the Rising Phoenix Clan,” Feng Yuxiang’s voice suddenly resounded, snapping him out of his thoughts.

“Oh?”

Feng Yuxiang emerged from his Dantian to continue, “In fact, I was staying with the Rising Phoenix Clan before I was cursed and was chased to the Lower Heaven.”

“So you have quite the relationship with them, huh?”

Feng Yuxiang nodded and said, “Most phoenixes today are born from other phoenixes, but I am one of the rare few naturally born directly from the flames themselves. I spent most of my earlier days wandering the Nine Heavens alone, but when I met the Rising Phoenix Clan, they offered me a place to stay, and wanting to experience what it was like living with other phoenixes, I accepted it.”

She continued, “Honestly, it was a pain. Everything seemed normal at first, but they eventually started trying to rope me into their clan by pushing their sons on me. That’s when I left and returned to wandering the Nine Heavens.”

“Oh, right. They’re also among the Ten Royal Phoenix Clans, ranked fifth.”

Yuan continued asking questions about the Rising Phoenix Clan until the leader returned with a tray holding several spatial rings.

“Here is all the information we have on the Rising Phoenix Clan and the Heavenly White Tiger Clan.”

Yuan stared at the spatial rings and asked in a somewhat nervous voice, “How many scrolls are inside?”

“One thousand three hundred and fifty-two scrolls in total.” The leader responded without any pause.

Yuan was speechless. He only anticipated a few scrolls—a few dozen at most.

“T-Thank you… I will read them later.” Yuan said, even though he had no intention of reading all of them, as there was simply too much.

“Will you be leaving now?” The leader then asked.

“I’ll leave in a bit.”

The leader then retrieved a black medallion and offered it to him, “Please accept this. As long as you have this token, we, the Shadow Army, recognize your identity no matter where you are.”

After accepting the medallion, Yuan spent a few more hours in the room to read a few scrolls of each clan and to ponder which of the two places he should visit first.

However, when he realized that both the Rising Phoenix Clan and the Heavenly White Tiger Clan existed in the Eighth Heaven, Yuan decided to visit the Stairway to Heaven first. Now that he had gotten rid of the Celestial Emperor’s curse and his presence was known, he no longer had any reason not to use it.

After leaving Dusk Intelligence, Yuan made his way to the teleportation device and teleported to the city nearest to the Stairway to Heaven.

A few days later, he arrived at his destination.

When he arrived, he was surprised to see many people at the Stairway to Heaven, counting hundreds at a glance.

Yuan wondered if there was a special occasion, but in reality, this is just a typical day at the Stairway to Heaven in the Seventh Heaven.

Unlike the lower heavens, there were simply many more incentives for cultivators in the Seventh Heaven to want to ascend. Moreover, it was much easier to ascend to the Eighth and Ninth Heaven, which the Celestial Emperor himself purposefully set.

After acquiring a token with a number, Yuan patiently waited for his turn.

A few days later, Yuan approached the Stairway to Heaven and entered it.

“Welcome back, Master.” Tian’er greeted him inside.

“It’s been a while.”

“Are you here to take the trial?”

He nodded and said, “Yes, and I’ll take the trial for the Seventh Heaven while I am at it.”
