Chapter 265: Array (2)

Jayce channeled his inner rage from within, sending his thick and powerful Qi galloping through his meridians. The pressure that was emanating from his body was so intense that it caused the space surrounding him to twist and contort.

Those directly beneath him felt as if gravity had increased tenfold, causing their bones to begin to grind and creak in response. If it weren’t for the tremendous power that they had received through the system, they would have likely turned into pancakes by now.

Amon was staring at Jayce as he readied his attack. He had supreme confidence that the array would activate at any moment and he would be filled to the brim with unfathomable power.

That’s why even though he felt the mounting pressure on his short frame, he didn’t look the least bit worried.

“Come, Let me Cook. Let’s see your last ditch effort before I grind you to dust.” He muttered, a thin smile forming on his lips.

Jayce whose senses had been magnified after breaking through, heard the words of the small man on the ground. He frowned in displeasure, but there was also a sense of unease hidden in the corner of his brain.

Surely that man had seen how he dispatched his men earlier, surely he could feel the raw power that Jayce was emanating at this moment. So why was he so confident? What could he possibly to do him in this situation?

Coming up with no answers even after a few moments, Jayce honed his Qi and sent out his Golden Buddha Palm, not holding back in the slightest. As he extended his hand, a massive shadow of a palm slowly appeared from his strike.

The palm was at least 10 meters tall, approaching Amon who was still standing tall with his arms crossed. He looked on confidently at the devastating palm which made its way towards him.

As the palm slowly got closer, he felt the pressure on his bones multiply, almost forcing him to his knees. Yet he still held on tight, not wanting to appear weak before the enemy he needed to kill.

The confident smile was still apparent on his face. He noticed that although the palm was approaching slowly, the pressure on him and the surroundings made it impossible for one to escape its area of effect, although he had no intentions of running away.

’Any moment now…’ Amon thought inwardly, a tiny bead of sweat appearing on his brow.

He could hear his bones beginning to crack and fracture from the pressure, sending waves of pain through his nervous system. Yet he was in too deep now, he could not lose faith.

’COME ON. START THE ARRAY!’ He screamed inwardly, feeling as if his back was about to break in half. The confident smile wavered for a moment, before his face turned into one of utter panic.

’WHAT THE F*CK! HURRY UP YOU STUPID ARRAY’ Amon was in agony. The slow crushing pressure had begun to compact his already small frame, threatening to turn him into a meat patty unless he could do something soon.

Just as he was about to scream out in pain and destroy his facade, the entire Earth began to shake violently. Even Jayce who was up in the sky felt the rumblings of the earth below him, instantly causing him to remain alert.

“HAHAHAHA IT’S TOO LATE NOW!” Amon laughed heartily. The moment the Earth began to shake, he suddenly felt his body fill with unimaginable power.

In fact, all of his remaining army felt the exact same thing at once. They cried out in ecstasy as the power coursed through their veins, leading to a cacophony of screams which caused those within earshot to shudder.

Amon suddenly began to fight back against the pressure from the Golden Buddha Palm, his face holding a wild and untamed expression as if he were drunk on power.

“KEKEKE I’M GONNA CRIPPLE YOU AND F*CK YOUR WO—”

Amon’s words were cut off as his eyes began to bulge out from his head due to the overexertion that came from meeting the palm head on. Out of instinct he continued to try and fight back the attack up until the last moment.

BOOM!

Jayce watched on as Amon’s body exploded even before the palm could land on him. Blood and guts flew in every direction, painting the ground and the surrounding buildings in a mosaic of red.

A moment later the Golden Buddha Palm touched down onto the Earth. In an instant, the ground sunk in almost 10 meters, showing a perfect outline of Jayce’s palm. The impact caused the entire area to fracture, sending fissures out in all directions.

The buildings and landmarks within a 1 kilometer radius were flattened spectacularly, causing even Jayce to recoil with shock.

Once the aftereffects of the attack died down however, it was not silent. Those people who had been crying out in ecstasy moments earlier were now screaming out in agony. Their cries sounded like wailing ghosts who were being tortured even after death.

BOOM BOOM BOOM!

Suddenly the area was littered with the sounds of explosions. Like those displays on New Years, it sounded as if hundreds of spectacular fireworks had been set off in succession.

However, the sight was not festive nor celebratory. From Jayce’s vantage point, he saw the township below suddenly burst with the color red, painting a horrifying and macabre sight for his eyes.

Jayce could only watch on grimly as these Humans were reduced to puddles of flesh and blood by something unknown.

“What the hell is happening?” Jayce muttered, holding back the sense of revulsion that seemed to take over his senses.

As if to answer his questions, the Earth once again trembled as it began to split apart, forming a gigantic fissure which seemed to stretch on for thousands of meters. A ray of brilliant light appeared from its depths, piercing into the sky like a rocket bound for space.
