843 A narrative of his life I
James beckoned Kyle, Alec, Yue, Odiak, and the old elders over to the table. They were strategizing how to kill many members of the dark side the moment the war began.
That's why they had laid out the map of Sacred Divine Land and marked the spots where they had planted various destruction artifacts created by Odiak that could kill anyone below the supreme rank.
Yue paused when she heard Mia and Lara's voices in her head, inviting her to join them.
The two women were outside, floating above the soldiers on their side alongside Jian, Sinon, Regius, Carcel, Nine, Asher, and Elli, guarding the huge army so Ceano, who occasionally attacked to kill those of supreme rank, wouldn't cause chaos.
They had gathered after Alec contacted them and were prepared for war. This time, they all shared one motive: to eradicate the remaining shadow generals and their army. The six supreme elders—Old Hal, Sophia, Elizabeth, Jane, Kurt, and Razial—floating with them shared the same thoughts.
This time they weren't alone. Multiple supreme ranks from all over the universe had gathered for this battle. Even the elven Queen and her people were present. This was the second time since the first major battle against Azazeal, led by Old Ma, Old Fedric, and their companions, that so many powerful supreme rank individuals from across the universe had come together.
Yue turned to leave, noticing that James was only discussing the artifacts they had planted in the area, telling the three old men around him that they should create a shield around their people when Odiak detonated the artifacts so no harm would come their way. But Kyle stopped her.
He lifted his gaze. The rest fell silent as they suddenly felt a familiar chilling aura emanating from him, his eyes turning white. Kyle calculated something on his fingers.
"Don't. Call Nine and the others as well. The remaining six elders too. I have something in mind, and I want everyone to follow my instructions if we want to win the war.""The Will of the Universe. You can contact that old man, right? This war won't last long if I participate, but we will instantly lose if Azazeal shows up. He is nearby, and I can sense that he is watching everything."

He turned to James.
"The Will of the Universe. You can contact that old man, right? This war won't last long if I participate, but we will instantly lose if Azazeal shows up. He is nearby, and I can sense that he is watching everything."
James nodded. He had no problem following Kyle's lead, and he was sure the elders didn't either. The elven queen and the elves under her were already on Kyle's side, indebted for what he had done for them.
As for the rest of the supreme ranks, they knew the situation of the universe and were here to help in the war because if this time they lost, everyone would die. After all, they were unable to reach the Celestial realm for help regarding the Realm of the Dead, and if the three shadow generals won, the whole universe would be under their control. So, there was no way they would go against Kyle, who was their hope at the moment.
"What are you planning?"
Kyle's eyes narrowed. However, the depths were filled with an eerie calmness, as if the universe itself held its breath.
"Once, Azazeal told me a tale—a narrative of his life. From that story, I uncovered the reason behind his desire to absorb all the Celestial spirits and forcefully tear open the gate of the Celestial realm, even though he can contact the Celestial realm through the spirits and simply open the gate."
All eyes turned to him.
His words were also heard by Mia, Lara, Jian, Sinon, Regius, Carcel, Nine, Asher, and Elli, who entered the tent alongside the six supreme elders—Old Hal, Sophia, Elizabeth, Jane, Kurt, and Razial—after Yue asked them to come at Kyle's request.
The enclosed space wasn't crowded because the tent equipped with various arrays, occupied by James, was the largest in the vicinity. It also had multiple chairs arranged on both sides, as he had just held a long meeting with several other supreme ranks in it to discuss the war.
Kyle studied the map before him, recalling the days he spent in the No Mana land.
"The reason is an old revenge. This is the revenge he forgot because of Nathaniel and Lilith, who entered his life as friends only to betray him—just as his race, the blessed race, was betrayed by the universe..."
He paused for a second.
"Azazeal wants to end everything—every single thing—when he leaves this universe, and he knows that if he forcefully opens the gate of the Celestial Realm, this universe is going to collapse, and all life forms within it will perish, never to exist again."
Kyle's voice was unnervingly calm, yet everyone in the tent shuddered at the heavy weight of his words. A chill slithered down their spines, wrapping around their hearts. Kyle spoke of their impending doom with such casual indifference, as if discussing the weather, leaving them to grapple with the horrifying reality of their potential end.
Nine stepped forward towards Kyle, his eyes shimmering with a golden light.
"I thought Azazeal had lost his emotions. Given the nature he has shown to us so far, it was clear that he is utterly indifferent to everything. So why would he seek revenge? And about something that happened so long ago that no one even remembers."
Kyle shook his head with a chuckle.
"He is indifferent, and that's undeniably true. But after spending so much time with him, I've witnessed many emotions—anger, resentment, bitterness, hostility, discontent, indignation, malice, and animosity—in his hollow gaze. Those emotions ran so deep that it felt like a vast, dark ocean, capable of swallowing everything. The weight of such burdens is so immense that I believe that if it were anyone else, they might have lost their sanity long ago."
He turned to Nine and opened his palm.
Multiple tiny white glowing orbs made of spiritual energy began to form above his palm as he continued his words.
"Azazeal held a grudge after his parents, who gave birth to him, along with his entire race, were slaughtered like animals before his very eyes, yet he could do nothing. Then, he watched as those who mercilessly killed his loved ones lived lives filled with luxury without facing any retribution, and many even ascended to the Celestial realm with the help of the Celestial elements they extracted from the bodies of the blessed race they had killed. How cruel, right?"
