Chapter 720: Chapter 211 In a Fog_2

An invisible mighty power pressed down on the earth-shaking fires, consuming nearly the entire planet, against the ground.

In an instant, a layer of overcast clouds formed in the sky across the entire planet.

Crackle-crackle.

Fine arcs of electricity sparked from the friction between layers of the clouds.

The electric arcs continually merged, forming thunderbolts.

The spherical thunderbolts kept amassing, holding their fire, and very quickly, they formed a mass nearly half the size of the moon.

With lightning from the skies above and fires from the earth below, the bone fragment, which had shed its sallow color and regained its white luster, lay suspended in the middle.

Though the fragment’s size was minuscule, the aura it radiated outclassed both the thunder and the fire.

An overwhelming and arrogant air emanated from it, as though it ruled the worlds above and below.

At that moment, Link no longer perceived the fragment as just a piece of bone.

It was as if he had glimpsed a super-strong being that had reached the end of a grand path, solitary and desolate, a figure in the vast expanse of time.

The figure had its back to Link, never once turning around.

“Alas!”

A sigh echoed.

The celestial thunder silently disappeared, as if the dark clouds had never existed.

The fires of the earth no longer crouched low but resumed their apocalyptic state.

The whitened bone fragment was nowhere to be seen.

Everything that had just occurred seemed like a fleeting illusion.

Link couldn’t quite understand what had just happened; many questions filled his mind.

Opening his eyes, Link was met with Dean Frist’s probing gaze. He opened his mouth, trying to describe the scene that had unfolded in the “Small World.”

He hoped to get some explanation from Dean Frist.

However, even though his mouth was open, the words he wanted to say would not come out.

It felt as though staying silent could mean death.

It was impossible to describe the scene from before, especially the figure and the sigh.

“No need to try. If the Wizard World Will forbids you from speaking about it, there’s no way for you to do so,” Dean Frist said, quickly guessing the reason for Link’s predicament upon seeing his state.

“The Wizard World Will?” Link was bewildered.

Was it not the act of the Saint of Nostrodamus after his resurrection?

Why did it involve the Wizard World Will again?

“You’re not yet ready to understand these secrets. All you need to know is that it’s for your own good,” Dean Frist explained. “There are many things that become burdens once you know them, which won’t be beneficial for your future development.”

“Alright, thank you for the reminder, Dean,” Link said, immediately dropping the idea of further investigation upon hearing his words.

Heed the advice of others and you will have a full meal. Especially when the advice is from Dean Frist—one must listen to it.

“Maintain your current mindset, and you will achieve something,” Dean Frist said with a reassuring smile. “I’ve always had high expectations for you. Hmm…”

He paused, then continued,

“This time, you’ve taken risks and contributed greatly. We certainly can’t let you return empty-handed. Now, you are allowed to expand your main force to 80 people. In addition, the academy will provide all warships and magic tools for an interstellar fleet according to the top standard of Sage-Level Legions. Plus, when Lisandra wakes up, I will have her personally present you with a gift.”

“Dean, thank you for your generous offer. I won’t be modest with you on this. I’ll accept it now,” Link responded, showing no understanding of what modesty was. Upon hearing the Dean’s words, he immediately agreed to accept the offer.

“Hehe…”

Dean Frist chuckled, “There’s no need to be modest. All of this is what you deserve.”

Seemingly remembering something, Dean Frist added, “Oh right, before the Supreme Council’s selection begins, you should visit the Cultivation Secret Realm. A sage-level one. It will help you understand the rules.”

“Thank you, Dean!”

Link immediately expressed his heartfelt gratitude.

Though he was recently promoted to a Third Level Wizard, what he needed wasn’t an understanding of the Third Ring magic, but rather the Fourth Ring magic associated with the rules.

The “Small World” not only contained the Apocalypse, but also housed a whitening bone fragment unknown to existence, potentially carrying one of the powers of The Saint of Nostrodamus after his resurrection. Link did not dare to use the special connection between the Sea of Consciousness Little World and the “Small World” to comprehend the rules in the near future.

Being able to visit a Sage-level Cultivation Secret Realm would quickly help Link make up for this defect.

This time, Link undertook huge risks in doing something for Dean Frist.

Receiving such rewards was only natural, but he still felt the need to express his gratitude toward Dean Frist.

Not every superior person is this generous.

At this time, Lady Lisandra, no longer affected by the bone fragment, came to slowly.

A brief look of confusion flashed in her eyes, but Lady Lisandra quickly remembered the day’s events.

“Damn old thing!”

The cursing exploded from her in anger.

Lady Lisandra levitated herself, seething with rage, seemingly wanting to charge at Great Sage Mitchell who had schemed against her and fight him to the death.

Link remained unmoved.

A cold smirk flickered at the corner of Dean Frist’s mouth as he silently watched.

“Why didn’t you stop me?”

Shooting a glance at Link who was doing his best to make himself inconspicuous, Lisandra glared at her own brother, gritting her teeth in anger, “You just stood by while your sister went to court death?”

“You actually realize you were courting death?”

Frist retorted coldly, “If you knew that, why would I bother dissuading you from doing something foolish?”

“You…”

Lisandra was momentarily at a loss for words.

“What about me?”

The cold sneer on Frist’s face became even more pronounced, “Didn’t I warn you not to meet Great Sage Mitchell alone? Did you listen?”

“Hmph!”

Lisandra was left speechless and could only give a cold ‘hmph’ in dissatisfaction.

“Alright, what’s done is done.”

Frist waved his hand at this moment, “Great Sage Mitchell had no intention of actually harming you. He was merely using you to hit me.”

Without waiting for Lisandra to open her mouth, Frist changed the subject:

“Link Grande put in a lot of effort to free you from the hands of Great Sage Mitchell.

Without his help, I would have had to request our grandparents’ intervention. In which case, Mitchell might have been able to probe my grandparents’ secrets.

So, no matter how you look at it, you should thank Link Grande and also offer him a token of your gratitude.”

Link remained silent, as though he was just a wooden figure.

Lisandra gave Link a fleeting glance, said nothing, and her figure suddenly disappeared.

Seeing this, Frist chuckled a few times.

His sister was a classic example of someone who would rather die than lose face.

“Don’t resist.”

Dean Frist said, exerting his great power, and in the blink of an eye, he and Link appeared outside Link’s villa.

“Wait for it, her token of gratitude will be delivered to your doorstep soon.”

Releasing the force of his spatial teleportation, Dean Frist said, “Keep me updated if anything new comes up.”

With these words, Dean Frist disappeared.

Link stood outside the door for a while before returning to his villa.

Going directly upstairs to his study, Link reviewed the earlier incident with his thoughts ponderously whirling.

He had to admit, Dean Frist had treated him well and had been quite candid, without deception and at most a little concealment.

Which was only normal.

However, Link’s craving for power, having been stimulated by this incident, became even more intense.

Letting his mind gallop free and emitting chaotic energy for a while to relieve some psychological pressure, Link then collected his thoughts to get back to serious business.

Retrieving his personal smart device, Link first looked at Jasmine’s replied message.

The Emissary Group to Shadow City had run into some difficulties. To complete their mission, it will take a few more days.

Jasmine wasn’t going to be able to return for some time.

Link thought for a moment and left her a message, telling her he was about to head to the Cultivation Secret Realm soon and he didn’t know how long he’d be there.

Afterwards, Link informed Sandra, Lanny, and Tiffany about his provisional itinerary and the expansion of the main force team to 80 members.

He asked them to continue to coordinate with the school regarding the preparations for the main force team while he was in the Cultivation Secret Realm and Jasmine had not yet returned to the school headquarters.

After getting an affirmative response, Link didn’t stall and directly contacted the academy to apply for entrance to the Sage-level Cultivation Secret Realm.

This was what Dean Frist had promised.

The academy responded quickly.

Within less than ten minutes, the transportation vehicle that would take Link to the secret location and through the special teleportation gate was parked outside the villa.

After some minor episodes, Link appeared outside the Sage-level Cultivation Secret Realm.

Sixth-level sage Rosenthal, who was languishing guarding a few Cultivation Secret Realms, waiting for death and expecting it at any moment, recognized Link at a glance.

He also noticed that his original attack had already left no trace on Link.

Unable to help his curiosity, he muttered to himself:

“This young fellow is pretty interesting!”
