Chapter 3658 - The Fierce Aurumites
At that moment, the orderlies had no time to worry about anything else.
The Taboo Ocean let out a piercing sound as it made its final assault. Mu Tianyuan could vaguely see the Soulfiend desperately struggling at the center. Its three heads displayed expressions of joy, anger, and sorrow as it continuously roared.
Meanwhile, over at the Order College, the blood mist being released was growing denser and denser. A deadly atmosphere had already engulfed the entirety of God Domain One.
“So many things are happening today!” Mu Tianyuan suddenly felt uneasy for some reason. His slight ability to predict danger was a special talent of the orderlies.
“They’ve already taken a group back, and they’ll arrive soon. There shouldn’t be any trouble on that side! As for mine, it’s even less likely for there to be trouble!”
Just as he was thinking that, he heard a shout of alarm. “Watch out!!”
The shout startled the orderlies who were nervously watching the Taboo Ocean.
A golden tide surged up from below as hundreds of shiny golden aurumites charged forward like a tidal wave of gold crashing against them. They were absolutely wild, brutal, and fierce!
“Aurumites?” Upon seeing them, Mu Tianyuan’s gaze turned icy cold, showing no reaction. Di Tang and Jin Xiao were nothing more than foes he had crushed before, humiliated remnants of those who had been enslaved and hunted down by the orderlies.
But he was curious. “You two worthless fools, what’s wrong with you today? Do you have a death wish?” If they hadn’t shown up, he had planned to organize a complete clean-up after taking care of the Original Sin, entirely eradicating them.
“Orderlies, hear my command: eliminate this group of barbarians! Show no mercy!” Mu Tianyuan sneered.
The aurumites, led by Di Tang and Jin Xiao, hadn’t reached the orderlies’s front lines before unleashing a barrage of divine abilities.
There were still over a thousand orderlies left, outnumbering the aurumites. Facing their old adversaries, they cruelly grinned, filled with an overwhelming sense of superiority.
“Truly suicidal!”
“They must’ve gone mad from the lack of women and decided to die!”
“Haha!”
The gourd-shaped, one-eyed spiritual bodies recklessly laughed as they cooperated to unleash a wave of soul power. An invisible waterfall-like force crashed down upon the aurumites and, one by one, the aurumites clutched their heads, crying out in agony.
However, their divine abilities simultaneously exploded upon the orderlies, bursting into golden mist and dazzling light that injured some of the orderlies!
This was nothing new. Throughout history, battles between the two races had always resulted in mutual destruction. Soul attacks and divine abilities couldn’t block each other, so it was a competition to see who killed the other side first. Both sides essentially had no defenses.
To the aurumites, the orderlies were never a worthy opponent in a bloody and satisfying physical battle. Instead, they were terrifying soul monsters!
The opening salvo proved that, in terms of raw killing power, the orderlies’ greater numbers gave them the upper hand. They suffered fewer injuries, while the aurumites were almost entirely wracked with pain and their charge was significantly hindered.
Despite their pain, the aurumites continued roaring, their bloodshot eyes burning with fervor. Adopting a completely reckless strategy, they charged straight at the orderlies like desperate madmen.
“Aren’t they going to retreat?” Many of the orderlies were stunned. In their eyes, the aurumites had always been a group of brutish cowards who fled at the slightest suppression. So why weren’t they running today with their tails tucked between their legs?
“Are they really going all out?” Mu Tianyuan frowned and shouted, “Stay alert!”
He kept a close eye on his old rivals, Di Tang and Jin Xiao. “Those two old ghosts usually fight each other. Why’re they both acting crazy today?”
It didn’t make sense. Something was off! What he didn’t know was that it was all because of the Sacred Healer, who represented hope for the Ancient Oldgod Domain! Even orderlies were plagued by the debilitating effects of xeno fatigue. In fact, soul xeno fatigue was even more terrible.
Di Tang and Jin Xiao, however, temporarily didn’t want the orderlies to find out.
After withstanding wave after wave of soul assaults, the aurumites finally crashed into the orderlies’s formation! The fight devolved into a melee, which was where the aurumites excelled. The battle was no longer one-sided.
“If half of us hadn’t returned to the college, this bunch of specters would all be dead here!”
Mu Tianyuan could only acknowledge that the situation had too many coincidences. “Di Tang, Jin Xiao!” He frowned as the two specters charged straight at him.
“Fools courting death!” Mu Tianyuan sneered, retreating to avoid direct confrontation. At the same time, his enormous eye began spinning. Order and soul power formed a vast vortex swirling around him.
“The Taboo Ocean plan is about to succeed! I must deal with them first and prevent any variables!”
Just as he was thinking that, there was a tremor from the Taboo Ocean and sharp screeches echoed from within.
“Someone’s broken into the Taboo Ocean!” Mu Tianyuan’s expression drastically changed as his head whipped around. He realised the aurumites’ true goal was to rescue Original Sin! But why? The two were completely unrelated!
His gaze pierced through the layers of battle and locked on to a massive purple figure that had charged into the Taboo Ocean. The figure’s power struck the Taboo Ocean from the outside!
The Taboo Ocean, which had been focusing its attack inward, was suddenly struck from outside. Its tightly coiled structure, like a snake constricting its prey to death, suddenly suffered a punch.
Then another punch landed, followed by tails, claws, and countless steel-like needles....
Cracks formed along the ocean’s taut structure and it began to disintegrate and loosen, expanding again as its compressed energy completely unraveled.
“Who’s that?!” Seeing the Taboo Ocean’s efforts crumble, Mu Tianyuan became furious. His ocean-like soul power rushed toward the Taboo Ocean.
However, heavy punches from the aurumites struck from two directions, forcing him to redirect his attack toward them. When facing specters, he had to drive them back first; he couldn’t ignore their offensive.
“You...!” Mu Tianyuan seethed as he summoned the other orderlies to stop the purple figure. “Protect the Taboo Ocean!”
