Awakening: Reincarnating With the SSS-Level Extraction Talent
Chapter 446 - 446: Reaching Godhood, Enduring the PowerAfter carefully reviewing the significant increase in his attributes, the [Creator’s Panel], and the full transformation of his eyes into the [Eyes of Cursed Void], Alex finally allowed himself a deep breath.
His mind was calm, but a subtle weight pressed on his chest, a quiet understanding that every reward he had just received could shift the balance of everything to come.
His eyes, which once radiated a singular energy, had now become something entirely different.
Though Alex couldn’t see them himself, they continuously shimmered with shifting colors, black like a bottomless void, gold like divine fate, and deep crimson, heavy with the curse of hatred.
The three forces pulsed through him with a quiet hum, always present, always reminding.
Anyone who looked into those eyes would see something they couldn’t comprehend, something far beyond what a mortal should ever possess.
But Alex, unaware of the spectacle, didn’t dwell on it.
He was more concerned with what the [Eyes of Cursed Void] could actually do.
Yet strangely, no system panel had appeared to explain their powers, not even a basic description.
That alone made him pause.
He knew the system well enough by now to understand what that meant, whatever changes had occurred, they were too deep or too complex to simply display in a few lines of text.
He would find out only through experience, through battle, trial, and failure.
But that wasn’t his focus right now.
There were still two major rewards left.
He turned toward the fourth reward and clicked on it mentally, summoning the item into his inventory.
The [Skill Creator Scroll].
Its name alone gave away its potential, and yet when he inspected it, Alex realized it was far beyond what he had imagined.
Compared to this, the [Talent Upgrade Scroll] that had evolved his [Undead Lord] talent felt like a trinket.
Even the [Skill Fusion Scroll], the one responsible for turning ten of his original skills into the devastating [Universal Orbs], seemed pale in comparison.
This scroll was something else entirely.
Unique.
In fact, it might very well be one of the strongest items in all of Universal Descent, created not through typical mechanics, but likely by the hands of Vexum himself.
[Skill Creator Scroll (???)]
The rank was listed as “???”, a rarity that usually meant it defied classification.
And the reason for that became clear the moment Alex opened the description.
[Description: Use your imagination to create a new skill you’ll be able to use. Upon activation, you will be transported to the “Creation” space and be able to construct the new skill there.]
It was both vague and incredibly powerful.
In theory, Alex could create any skill he wanted.
Anything.
There were no set templates, no categories, no pre-generated outcomes.
But, of course, there was a cost.
[Note: You must be able to PERFECTLY visualize the skill you want to create, its concept, mechanics, function, and structure. A single flaw in visualization may cause the process to fail and the scroll to disintegrate.]
[The more powerful the skill, the harder it will be to stabilize it. That is why the “Creation” space exists.]
[More information will become available upon entering. But be warned, once you begin, there is no return.]
Alex read the text over twice.
It was incredible.
The power to bring into existence a skill that had never existed before, something tailored exactly to him, something that could change the entire course of the [Chosen Games], and yet, the risk was staggering.
If his imagination fell short, if he couldn’t fully lock the idea in his mind, he might end up losing the scroll entirely.
No retries. No second chances. And there would be no replacing it.
That meant Alex wouldn’t get another. It had to count.
So, as much as the idea of diving into the “Creation” space excited him, he decided not to use the scroll right away.
A decision like this demanded full focus, a rested mind, and clarity of thought. Later.
After everything else was settled.
That brought him to the final reward.
The one he had been both dreading and anticipating more than anything else.
[Godhood].
Just seeing the golden letters floating in front of him stirred something inside, a chill that ran along his arms and down his spine.
Becoming a god, it wasn’t just symbolic.
It would mean power, yes, but it would also mean crossing a line, stepping into a realm of existence where nothing could ever be the same again.
He stared at the glowing text, then clicked it.
Ding!
[After everything you’ve endured, the “Creators” have decided to grant you “Godhood.”]
[This means that you, FateBreaker / Alex Rogue, will become a legitimate God.]
Alex stared at the words, his breath slow and steady, his expression unreadable.
He already knew what this meant.
He had felt it coming.
But now, seeing it confirmed, legitimate God, his chest tensed.
Then came another message.
[Do you accept?]
Alex exhaled and muttered softly, “Before I answer… if I become one, does that mean I can choose a [Chosen One] too?”
[Since you are already a God’s Chosen One and now a new God yourself, you unfortunately may not select another.]
“Fair enough,” Alex replied with a small nod, “I still accept.”
[Very well.]
The tone of the messages, the way they responded directly, it was no longer the usual automated system.
He could tell the difference.
These messages were coming directly from the Creators themselves.
[Initiating Godhood…]
Golden light surged around him, rising from the ground, the walls, the air, swirling like a tidal wave of pure energy.
The room he stood in dissolved first, followed by the chamber, then the hallway, the palace itself, and eventually the entire realm of Destiny.
All of it erased in an instant, swept away by the golden tide.
And then, Alex was floating.
There was no sky above, no ground below, just an infinite purple void speckled with stars.
Cosmic winds moved gently around him, silent but alive, like the breath of the universe itself.
[Close your eyes. The world is calling your name.]
He didn’t resist.
His eyelids grew heavy, the stars fading slowly, and then, he closed them. Time passed. Or maybe it didn’t.
In his perception, only a few seconds passed, but something in his gut told him much more had gone by.
Then, finally, a new message appeared in the void.
[Before your full transition, answer this question, FateBreaker.]
“…Alright,” he whispered, “Go ahead.”
He felt weightless. No pain. No pressure.
Just floating through an endless space that seemed to listen to every thought he had.
[How do you feel? Knowing you’re so close to your goal. That even after dying in your last life, and watching your world be torn apart, you’re back here, standing against the ones responsible?]
Alex’s breath caught slightly.
He trembled, not because he was afraid, but because of what the question meant.
They knew.
Vexum had never confirmed it, but this question left no doubt.
The Creators, whoever they were, they had orchestrated everything.
His transmigration, his second chance, it was all them.
And that realization was terrifying.
They were watching.
But even now, faced with that truth, Alex didn’t falter.
He smiled, small, calm, unbroken.
“I feel the need to crush them,” he said quietly, “Even if I’m reduced to nothing. Even if I burn away everything I am, I’ll make sure they’re brought down.”
It wasn’t elegant, but honest, and filled with all the fire inside him.
[Very well.]
[Then receive your reward.]
The void around him pulsed, and from above, a vertical beam of pure divine energy descended.
It struck him like lightning, engulfing his entire body, sending waves of power through his bones, his blood, his soul.
“AAAHHHHHHHHHH—!” Alex screamed, not in agony, but from the sheer, overwhelming force.
It tore through every inch of him, rebuilding him in a way that could never be reversed.
The energy lasted for nearly a full minute.
And then, it stopped.
He was left floating, chest heaving, arms trembling, but he was still alive.
Still whole.
[Surprisingly, you survived.]
Alex blinked.
“Wait… that was supposed to kill me?”
[It would have. If your determination wasn’t strong enough. But… it seems we were right.]
And then, at last.
Ding!
[Congratulations, Alex Rogue.]
[You have become the “God of Determination.”]
