After Being Cyber Bullied, She Reveals Her True Identity
Chapter 405 - 405 400 Im Behind YouChapter 405: Chapter 400: I’m Behind You Chapter 405: Chapter 400: I’m Behind You The safety above allowed Shen Yan to breathe a sigh of relief.
Shen Yan’s phone was buzzing, but she didn’t take it out, knowing that it was a call from Qi Si.
He must have seen the things she had just done, right?
Thinking that Qi Si had already seen through everything, her hand gripping the steering wheel started shaking, and even the color drained from her face.
The pursuit behind her was still ongoing; she couldn’t stop.
She didn’t dare to stop.
After driving a considerable distance, Shen Yan finally stopped.
There was a car parked ahead, and someone stood beside it, holding cold equipment, aiming straight at her car.
She got out of the car.
Standing in the wind, Shen Yan felt the sand sting her eyes, so she squinted slightly.
“Miss Shen, your performance was very unexpected.”
“Your performance also surprised me, doing this kind of thing in Country Z, you are really bold,” Shen Yan walked slowly towards him, then pointed at the mountains ahead, “I’d like to die over there if that’s alright with you.”
The man across from her stared at her for a long time, then coldly raised the equipment in his hand, signaling her to move forward.
Shen Yan walked towards the forest with her hands half-raised.
“Was it that old woman with the surname Jian who sent you?”
Shen Yan chatted nonchalantly.
The person behind her pressed the equipment to the back of her head and said in a cold voice, “That’s our doctor.”
“Oh, sorry, to me, she’s just a crazy old woman.”
The object on her head pressed forward, “Do you want to die here?”
“I’d like to choose a spot with good Feng Shui, is that okay?”
“Walk.”
“Why are you guys so fixated on me? I’m curious.”
“Don’t you remember what you did that you need us to remind you?” the man said coldly.
Shen Yan paused, “Do you suspect that I used your samples?”
The atmosphere behind her suddenly turned colder, “Did you?”
“What do you think?”
Shen Yan felt the man’s gaze on her change, his eyes flickering as he spoke, “You didn’t kill me right away just now because of this, right? That’s correct, I didn’t destroy that thing, but rather I hid it. However, only I know where it is.”
“Don’t play tricks,” the man suddenly drew closer, switching the dangerous equipment to her temple, “Trying to trick me?”
“Believe it or not,” Shen Yan grinned, “That woman must have told you about my talent in research. Why do you think I suddenly became so skilled? Don’t you wonder how someone could improve so drastically?”
“Shen Yan, if you die, no matter what, we will find everything you’ve hidden. So don’t bother trying to trick me.”
“If you don’t care, then kill me now,” Shen Yan turned around with a smile on her face, “Come on, kill me, and the things I’ve kept in my mind will be useless.”
The man’s expression wavered slightly, but the next second, he still restrained Shen Yan.
“Turn around.”
Shen Yan stood her ground, “The so-called powerful Dr. Jian can’t provide you guys with better samples, but I can use my abilities to make you stronger. Are you sure you want to kill me now?”
The man seemed to waver.
Yes.
With so many research scientists at the base and so many waiting for experimental subjects, how many would finally get what they needed?
Too many monks, not enough porridge.
Shen Yan’s words were indeed very tempting!
Shen Yan stood leisurely in front of him, waiting for his response.
Her method of turning the tables was crude but effective.
She understood those people; they wanted to become stronger.
“You…”
The man had just realized what was happening when Shen Yan made her move.
“Snap!”
The equipment went flying due to the movement of both parties; the situation turned on its head, now Shen Yan and he were both unarmed, and it came down to who was more capable.
The man’s muscles tensed, angrily and warily watching Shen Yan.
“Didn’t your mom teach you never to trust a woman’s words?” After speaking, Shen Yan bent down to pick up a pebble.
In that instant, the man launched an attack on Shen Yan.
His speed was fast, and his methods were ruthless.
Shen Yan crouched down and prepared to counterattack; it wasn’t going to be so easy for him to succeed.
Shen Yan raised the stone in her hand and struck his leg with force, the sound of the impact ringing out as the rock hit flesh.
The man winced in pain, and abruptly drew back.
He staggered a few steps backward, his calf trembling violently!
The man glared at the stone in Shen Yan’s hand with a dark, ominous look, flames rising in the depths of his eyes!
Shen Yan, seeing his reaction, laughed as she tossed the stone in her hand, “Sorry, but to make you close your eyes, to shut your mouth, I have to ask you to lie down in this auspicious place.”
Her laugh still lingering, Shen Yan suddenly collected all traces of a smile from her face, and, under the man’s frightened gaze, unleashed a fierce attack!
…
Fifteen minutes later.
“Boom!”
Two vehicles were engulfed in flames!
The car that arrived afterward came to a stop nearby, and a tall figure staggered out, running with eyes about to split in rage!
Something seemed to be stuck in his throat, blocking any sound from emerging.
Qi Si stood rigid, his face drained of color as he stared deathly at the flaming vehicles—that was the car Shen Yan had just been driving…
Where was she…
Where had she gone?
Qi Si frantically looked around, seeing no signs of a fight, and no bodies.
Was she still in the car?
Impossible…
Qi Si kept trying to reassure himself, yet he couldn’t bring himself to move even a step forward to check for bodies in the car.
“Mr. Qi! No one’s there!”
Someone who dared get close to the vehicles shouted back excitedly to Qi Si.
Then they saw Mr. Qi, who never feared anything, suddenly drop to one knee on the road, a hint of relief flashing across his face with a faint smile.
Shen Yan was alright.
“Search…” Qi Si tugged at his collar and hoarsely commanded.
“Yes, sir!”
Everyone dispersed to search, some remained to clear the scene, and others stayed to protect Qi Si.
Qi Si slowly stood up and followed the trail looking for suspicious signs.
“Mr. Qi, we didn’t find her, but we found bloodstains in the woods up ahead.”
Hearing this, Qi Si’s gaze sharply turned toward the still-burning car: “Check it.”
Immediately, people swarmed to examine whether there was anybody inside the car.
After a while, those who had checked came back to Qi Si: “Mr. Qi, there’s a person.”
Qi Si’s complexion paled again, reminded of something, he immediately took out his phone and dialed.
The call connected!
But no one answered.
It meant Shen Yan was indeed safe.
On the third attempt, the call was finally picked up, and Qi Si’s voice was hoarse: “Yanyan.”
There was no response on the other end.
“Yanyan, where are you?”
There was an edge of panic in Qi Si’s voice.
Shen Yan: “Mr. Qi, I’m right behind you.”
Qi Si spun around, and sure enough, he saw a slender figure approaching from not far away.
Without a second thought, Qi Si ran towards her direction, and Shen Yan stopped, staring blankly at the man rushing towards her.
For the first time, she saw a panicked fear on Qi Si’s face.
Her petite frame was forcefully embraced by another, causing Shen Yan to involuntarily shiver.
She had just been thinking of leaving, but… she couldn’t bear to.
