After Being Cyber Bullied, She Reveals Her True Identity
Chapter 320 - 320 315 I Rejected HimChapter 320: Chapter 315: I Rejected Him Chapter 320: Chapter 315: I Rejected Him When Shen Yan found out from Qi Si’s mouth that Qi Si was going to come over later, Gu Ting was a bit surprised and somewhat stiff.
Having a meal with Qi Si, the atmosphere was bound to be stiff.
Nobody wanted to have difficulty swallowing their food because of a cold and hard atmosphere.
Qi Si, releasing a cold aura, probably didn’t even notice the impact he had on the people around him, suggesting they eat together as if it was nothing.
“Well, Yanyan, your dad and your brother are still discussing business, and it probably won’t be over anytime soon. How about this, you go eat with Qi Si first, and we’ll sort ourselves out later.”
“If Dad and Big Brother are busy, what about you?” Shen Yan asked curiously.
Gu Ting: “…”
“I’ve already notified Dad and Big Brother, and Big Brother responded to me, saying he would come over to the restaurant when the time was about right.”
Gu Ting: “…”
“Do you not like Qi Si? So you don’t want to eat with him?” Shen Yan said.
Gu Ting: “…”
“When you had me marry him, the family was very supportive,” Shen Yan raised an eyebrow, “and it’s not the first time you’ve eaten with him.”
It was precisely because it wasn’t the first time she had eaten with him that she knew what it was like to eat with him, and she felt a bit choked up inside.
Embarrassed, Gu Ting said, “No, how could I dislike him? I can’t like him enough! I just wanted to create an opportunity for you two to be alone together.”
Hearing this, Shen Yan nodded in satisfaction: “You don’t need to worry, Qi Si and I have been sticking together recently; we don’t need you to specially create such opportunities. If necessary, I can create them myself.”
Gu Ting: “…”
Her daughter’s face unmoved as she said these words looked truly a bit foreign to her.
Alright then.
She was being meddlesome.
But.
“Yanyan, do you really like Qi Si?” Gu Ting stared at Shen Yan, “I thought you were just compromising…”
“If I didn’t like him, that marriage would never have happened, and if it did, we should be divorced by now,” said Shen Yan, expressionless.
Gu Ting’s mouth twitched slightly: “You think marriage is a child’s play.”
“Because it’s not a child’s play, we are treating our relationship seriously now,” Shen Yan thought of the scene from last night and frowned slightly, “Mother, what do you think a man would feel if, at the height of intimacy, the woman suddenly refused him?”
“Ah?”
Gu Ting didn’t expect Shen Yan to discuss such husband and wife matters so frankly with her, and she was a bit taken aback, her face also flashing a bit of embarrassment.
The next second, Gu Ting’s eyes widened slightly: “So, you rejected Qi Si’s advances?”
“Advances?” Shen Yan blinked rapidly, frowning and said seriously, “Hmm, I guess that’s one way to put it. I refused him last night, and he seemed really… angry, and he didn’t pay much attention to me this morning.”
“…”
Gu Ting’s mouth twitched a few times, looking at her own daughter with a strange gaze, as if she hardly recognized the person in front of her.
Shen Yan was really straightforward to discuss this matter with her mother.
It was clear that Shen Yan was troubled by this.
Gu Ting said, “So you’re in a bad mood today because of this?”
She had seen very clearly the way her daughter lashed out at that group of people earlier.
Shen Yan was silent.
Looking at Shen Yan, Gu Ting felt even more amazed, it seemed that her daughter really cared about Qi Si.
“Yanyan, he’s a man.”
“I can tell the difference between men and women,” no reminder needed.
“What I mean is, if a man doesn’t get satisfied in that respect, how many are going to be in a good mood? If it were you, someone kissed you once and then there was no follow-up, could you bear it?” Gu Ting found it hard to imagine Qi Si getting angry over such a matter, and was a little shocked to hear such words from Shen Yan’s mouth.
Shen Yan said earnestly, “He didn’t just kiss me once, half the clothes came off, too.”
“Pfft—cough cough…”
Gu Ting choked and her face turned red.
Shen Yan frowned slightly and explained, “It’s not that I don’t want to satisfy him, but…”
But he had said they would divorce in two years.
This was something that mattered greatly to her.
If she wasn’t sure it was for a lifetime, she couldn’t accept such an act of rolling in the sheets.
Despite everything she had been through, in this regard, Shen Yan was surprisingly conservative!
That moment of panic, she also belatedly realized what it was.
She was afraid Qi Si would end things abruptly after getting what he wanted.
She had too much filth on her body that couldn’t be exposed to the light. If Qi Si knew she was not “untouched,” would he push her away in a fit of angry embarrassment?
That momentary thought sent a chill down her spine!
So, she backed away.
She could discuss the events of the previous day with Gu Ting, but she couldn’t reveal her original identity to Gu Ting. Gu Ting would be crushed.
So would the Shen Family.
“Yanyan…” Gu Ting looked uncomfortable and attempted to say something but couldn’t find the kind of words that would inspire self-realization when confronted with the earnest gaze of Shen Yan searching for answers.
How straightforward her daughter was in this regard.
Gu Ting stroked her forehead, “Since you think he’s angry, why not coax him, or outright ask him. What you really think, sit down and have a good talk with him. Don’t keep these things bottled up inside; you’re the only one who’ll suffer.”
“There are some things I can’t explain to him,” Shen Yan frowned upon hearing this, “but I’ll get to the bottom of it.”
“That’s good. If you want a harmonious married life, you need more communication… cough, every couple has their own way of getting along, and I can’t offer you too much advice. Besides, Qi Si is not quite like anyone else.”
“I know,” Shen Yan nodded, taking in the lesson, “I’ll communicate with him more.”
“Since he hasn’t arrived, how about we play a bit more tennis?” Gu Ting quickly changed the subject to avoid hearing any more startling confessions from her daughter.
“Sure.”
Shen Yan felt clearer headed, her mood considerably lighter.
The mother and daughter muttered to each other then resumed their game, while the group of people not far from them occasionally glanced in their direction.
After playing for about an hour and with lunchtime approaching, the suggestion to eat was raised by the group.
The club had a high-end restaurant that required reservations, and the chef’s food was quite delicious, which is why people were willing to spend a good sum to dine there.
Zhai Hongshen had booked a table, and after two or three more games of tennis, they could head over for a meal.
At this point, Shen Zheng had also walked in. His arrival immediately turned him into the center of attention.
Those playing tennis greeted the young man as Shen Zheng made his way over to the two women, greeting people as he went.
Looking inwards, beyond a tennis court, he saw Zhai Hongshen’s group and his gaze coldly landed on Zhai Xilan sitting in a wheelchair, then indifferently withdrew.
“Have you two finished talking?” Gu Ting, catching her breath, stopped and asked.
“Yes, we just finished,” Shen Zheng said as he took the tennis racket from Gu Ting’s hand, and dressed in a suit, he played a ball towards Shen Yan.
The siblings then started their back-and-forth game which lasted for quite a while, finally ending with Shen Yan slamming the ball down.
Shen Zheng moved his arm, “Another round?”
Shen Yan checked the time, just in time to see the message that popped up: “No, thanks.”
Seeing the smile in Shen Yan’s eyes, Shen Zheng’s eyebrow rose: “Has he arrived?”
Shen Yan nodded with a smile.
