Chapter 1863: Using A Peak Sovereign To Train

Chapter 1863: Using A Peak Sovereign To Train

Grey crawled out of the pit, staring icily at the Old man who was floating above him. Hidden in his eyes was a hint of fear, this Old man’s speed scared him. He did not expect to find someone this fast, especially at the Peak of the Sovereign Plane.

“Old man, I accept that you are quite powerful, but don’t force my hand.” He said between breaths.

The Old man acted as if he did not hear Grey’s threat, taking a step, his figure vanished once again.

Grey reacted immediately when the Old man disappeared, making a move as well. He knew standing passively will only get him defeated, but there was nothing he could do against the absolute strength of the Old man. Although he was already prepared for the Old man’s speed, he was still barely able to fight back. He could barely even see the Old man, only occasionally catching a glimpse of his passing figure.

Boom!

Another explosion rang out, but this time, Grey’s figure was not sent crashing, rather, he tumbled in the air a few times before steadying himself.

“Old… Shit!”

Before Grey could even finish his statement the Old man had made a move once again, making him cuss out in annoyance. He was already out of breath, and the Old man did not want to give him the chance to catch his breath.

Seeing Grey’s flustered actions, the Old man chuckled, but his actions did not stop. He continued attacking nonstop, not giving Grey any opportunity to regain his bearings. A few minutes went by in this manner. At first Old man could still chuckle anytime he forced Grey out of the void or hurt him, but as the battle progressed, he started to realize something was wrong. Since the start of the battle, he obviously had the absolute advantage which was to be expected, he also expected he should have defeated his opponent within the first two or at most five moves, after all, he is someone that is lauded as the strongest expert below the Twilight Faction Leader who was the number one. Even though he was number two, it was enough for him to hold his own against three to four Peak Sovereigns without fear of losing his life.

He has been battling Grey for a few minutes and not only is Grey not incapacitated, he could even counter attack, which was shocking to even think of. With the Old man’s strength, most Peak Sovereigns would find it hard to protect themselves against him, much less launch an occasional attack. Grey, on the other hand, who was only a Seventh stage Sovereign is able to successfully do this which almost tumbled the thought process of not just the Old man but also those from that Twilight Faction who were watching.

“Enough!”

Grey’s enraged roar brought the Old man back to his senses, although he was deep into thought, he did not stop his assault on Grey, so when the latter yelled, he stopped.

“Are you finally willing to go back with me?” He asked with his hands behind his back, although he was beyond shocked by Grey’s performance, he was an experienced old man and could properly control his emotions.

“Old man, I’ve told you over and over again that I do not want anything to do with your stupid Faction but you keep pushing me.” Grey pointed at the Old man, his finger shaking from rage, “Good! Good! I told you to leave me alone but it seems you have no plans of stopping.”

Seeing Grey’s reaction, the Old man was taken aback. He did not expect the reason Grey told him to stop the attack was because he wanted to express his anger.

“If you’re still not willing, then I guess I have to continue beating it into you.” The Old man said with a shake of his head. Yes he was impressed and even amazed by Grey’s ability to keep up with him all this while, but that is purely because he did not want to kill Grey. Although he used most of his strength, he was still greatly restrained, so he did not see Grey leaving this place today.

Grey did not wait for the Old man to take a step this time, rather, he took the initiative, seething with killing intent, he charged straight at the Old man, “Stupid Old man, you will pay for your actions.”

A bloodthirsty aura spread out from Grey’s body, and the Old man was momentarily stunned by the sheer potency of Grey’s killing intent. It was almost as if everything in his vision turned blood red. This momentary hesitation was all Grey needed. Although the Old man was powerful, he was still human.

Bang!

Grey’s flames covered fist crashed into the chest of the Old man. The second his fist connected, he felt like his fist slammed into a brick wall. The recoil from the punch forced him to take a few steps back.

Ka-cha!

The sound of something breaking rang out as the Old man’s figure came to view. At the side of his mouth, blood could be seen dripping while an incredulous expression appeared on his face as he slowly raised his hand to touch the side of his mouth.

“How can you be so strong yet bloodthirsty at such a young age?” The Old man did not understand how someone like Grey would have a bloodthirsty even more fierce than some of the veteran warriors he had met. These were people who have encountered countless life and death battles, killing thousands of people in the process.

Grey did not answer him, only staring at him coldly. He had already created some distance between them. But his lack of reply made the Old man chase after him.

Seeing the approaching Old man, he snorted coldly and made use of his space domain. His space domain is different from Void’s, and with its help, he was confident he could match up the speed of the Old man within its confined range.

As long as the Old man got within this range, he was confident he could at least keep up with his speed.

The Old man, who was rushing towards Grey, paused twenty meters away from Grey, he muttered out loud, “What is this strange energy I feel?”

He raised his head and looked at Grey, he did not rush forward, keeping silence as he tried to investigate what this energy was.

While the Old man was standing opposite Grey, those from the Twilight Faction were watching with odd expressions.

The two Ninth stage Sovereigns could not believe that even with Grand Elder Laird taking action, Grey was still standing. Recalling that Grey was only a Seventh stage Sovereign, he could not help but wonder what the situation might be if Grey were an Eighth stage Sovereign. He did not even want to think of what Grey will be capable of once he becomes a Ninth stage Sovereign.

Young Master Idris could not believe that his Grandfather was struck by Grey. When he saw Grey’s fist connect with his Grandfather’s chest, he almost coughed out his heart. Seeing the blood at the side of his Grandfather’s mouth showed that the latter was injured from the attack. Yet even after suffering such an attack, his Grandfather did not try to attack Grey, rather seemingly staring at him.

“Why is he hesitating?” He asked, but no one could give him an answer.

On Grey’s end, seeing the Old man pause, he heaved a sigh and started plotting how to make the Old man pay before he escapes. He already knew that it was impossible for him to kill this Old man, hurting him was possible, but killing him was impossible, and this was something he could not change with any of his trump cards, the Old man’s strength was just too much for all his tricks.

With the Old man’s strength, his only choice was to escaping. And although the Old man was fast, he was very confident he could leave, this was the only reason he was still here. He knew he could not beat the Old man from the start, but he wanted to see just how far he had grown. Of course, he knew not to use the strength of natives in secret worlds like these to measure the strength of those in the Aurora Continent, but from his speculations, this Old man should not be weaker than an average Peak Sovereign in the Aurora continent.

The Old man watching him for a while before asking in confusion, “This seems connected to the movement technique you use. Can this be more than just a technique?”

Hearing the Old man’s question, Grey knew that the former has most likely figured out that his space element is not just some strange movement technique. He could not help but be amazed by the Old man’s knowledge, in only a few minutes he had been able to deduce that it was not just a movement technique.
