Chapter 1832 Who Took It?

Chapter 1832 Who Took It?

The Old lady who was bowing rose, she offered after some thoughts, "Since Sir City Lord needs to tend to his wounds, why don't you follow us back to our Manor, it's not far from here and Sir City Lord wouldn't need to worry about being disturbed."

City Lord Vaughn didn't know the lady, asking her, he found out that she was stationed here from her Family which resided close to Raging Flames City. It was during one of her visits with her Family to the City did she have the chance to see City Lord Vaughn.

City Lord Vaughn turned to look at Grey, he couldn't make a decision for both of them. And at the moment, he didn't see Grey as a junior, he didn't even see him as an equal, after all, if not for Grey, both he and Lord Harry would be dead by now. In fact, he even believed that if Grey was alone, he wouldn't have been in such a predicament to begin with.

Grey would preferably heal in hiding, but he couldn't leave City Lord Vaughn yet, they still haven't shared the loot!

Getting a nod of approval from Grey, City Lord Vaughn started to search for the bodies of the other two City Lords. If the duo were truly dead, then he needed their space rings, after all, they were both City Lords of other Cities, and although that City isn't as powerful as Raging Flames City, they still possessed vast wealth. He found the City Lord who was still barely alive after Grey's fusion orb attack. At this moment, this City Lord was no longer breathing, a clear sign that he was dead. With a sigh, City Lord Vaughn wanted to remove the space rings when he noticed their fingers were empty.

'Huh?!' City Lord Vaughn rubbed his eyes. He recalled the duo wearing space rings when they were still fighting the Elemental Warrior.

How did the ring suddenly disappear?

A bad premonition rose in his heart as he rushed to where the other body was located. This body was pierced through by a large piece of wood from one of the broken trees after the explosion. His blood red eyes were wide open, looking at it, one could see the fear in them.

This City Lord's unfortunate death saddened City Lord Vaughn, however, the empty space ring almost made him spit out a mouthful of blood. From the ring finger he could tell that the ring was removed not too long ago. He turned his confused gaze to Grey who was sitting in a meditative state, they fought the Elemental Warrior together, and during that period, all of Grey's actions were within his observations. The reason he kept track of Grey's actions isn't because he was wary, but because he was stumped by his abilities. He has been alive for a few hundred years and had even had the opportunity to watch Ninth stage Sovereigns battle, and none of them has ever displayed some of Grey's abilities, especially his ability to appear and disappear at will.

While they fought with the Elemental Warrior, they didn't get close to the bodies. This meant that someone else must've stolen the rings while they were fighting with the Elemental Warrior. He looked at the twenty-one people present and shook his head, none of them had the ability to escape his senses, even if he was in a life and death battle.

'Who took it?' This was the question in City Lord Vaughn's head, pointing his finger at the bodies of the two City Lords, he released two balls of fire that quickly burnt their bodies to crisps.

The newly arrived group of fifteen knew there was no way to fish for benefits here, leaving as soon as City Lord Vaughn burnt the bodies.

Grey's group were led out of the mountain range by the Old lady. Grey made a mental note of this place, after all, Void and the bunny leader spoke about an interesting abandoned Manor that was behind the mountain range. Although their battle covered a large area, according to what he knew from the duo, the place where the Manor is located didn't receive any damage.

It took them a few hours to leave the mountain range. Just as the lady said, the Manor was indeed not far from the mountain range, and only after about an hour, they got to their destination. This Manor covered an area of about three kilometers square.

City Lord Vaughn was led to one of the best cultivation chambers in the Manor, Grey and Lord Harry were given the second best. None of them had any issues with where they were assigned, all they wanted to do was to heal their wounds. Luckily, after leaving the mountain range, the group acquired a carriage for the journey, so all three had managed to recover a little. Grey showed the fastest signs of recovery, his previously pale face was already showing signs of regaining color.

Just like that the group started to heal their wounds. Given the intensity of their wounds, it would take at least a few months to fully recover. Of course, the group didn't need to stay here that long, only until they were strong enough to head back to the Capital City.

In Grey's cultivation room.

Void and the bunny leader appeared silently, before the bunny leader tossed two space rings at Grey. Catching the ring, he didn't check the contents before throwing it into his own space ring. During the battle, he sensed the other City Lord taking his last breath. He couldn't leave the rings just lying around. City Lord Vaughn wasn't the only one who wanted to increase his wealth.

"Let me know if anyone approaches."

Grey entered a meditative state after dropping this statement. He needed to heal from his wounds, and then reflect on the battle. From what he could sense, there's a chance that he might break through to the Seventh stage of the Sovereign Plane as soon as he recovered. This feeling excited him to no end.
