The young lady looked at Grey, her eyes filled with a focused light. She had almost been defeated by Grey because she lost focus in front of him due to having the overwhelming advantage. After Grey's previous attack, she didn't dare to show any neglect in the rest of the battle. Hence, she might lose her fifth spot, which was not something she wanted.
A fire whip appeared in her hand and she sent it towards Grey's direction. Grey, who had already dispelled the gravitational force field, used his water element to meet it, blocking it midway. Just when the two attacks were about to hit, Grey's water blade which was about to hit the fire whip broke apart, and under the shocked gazes of everyone, the water blade which just burst apart turned into a dozen or so water butterflies as they shot at the young lady with deadly precision, and a dangerous aura.
The young lady panicked, not expecting this sudden change as she hastily retreated. She felt fear suddenly grip her heart as she felt a sense of danger coming from behind her too. Her intuition told her that it was also a dangerous attack. Without hesitation, she was covered with a flaming sphere, before she shot into the air after partially holding back the attack coming her way.
The second she left the area, the fire sphere burst apart and the water butterflies struck a bolt of lightning with a resounding bang.
Grey, who had appeared a few meters behind where the girl was previously standing, looked above him, and an earth and ice transparent veils appeared above him, blocking the fire arrows coming his way.
The ice veil was the first to be broken after only a second, the earth veil will not hold on any longer. Grey didn't panic, he didn't have enough time to escape with his space element due to the speed of the young lady's attack, but he could bolster his speed.
Without any hesitation, Grey's figure was shrouded with the lightning element, calculating the speed of the currently descending arrows, he gritted his teeth and added the wind element as well before shooting out of the range of the arrows.
When Grey's figure appeared, he was almost two hundred meters away from the impact of the attack; he made sure to rush to the side of the platform so he didn't sense the presence of the young lady.
He was actually fast enough to see the arrows of the young lady passing through his afterimage.
Bam! Bam! Bam!The fire arrows struck the ground, making the arena shake slightly.
At first, most of those in the Seventh and even a few Eighth stage Sovereigns and below thought that Grey had been hit by the young lady's attack, but seeing how the attacks easily pierced through it, and then noticing another figure from the side of their eyes on the edge of the platform, they realized it was an afterimage.
Looking at the figure, they noticed that he was not only wrapped with lightning but there was also a faint greenish glow around him.
"The wind element?"
Someone asked out loud.
"Impossible!"
Someone shouted at the realization of what the question meant. Six elements, Grey could use six elements.
Everyone in the arena froze in shock. Even in the Elder's area, Lord Dante couldn't hold a straight expression any longer. Not just him, everyone at the peak of the Ninth stage and in the Half God Plane saw it clearly and knew that Grey only used it because he knew that he couldn't escape. Meaning that if he wasn't forced, he wouldn't have revealed it. If Grey had used the aid of his wind element for his previous sudden attack on the young lady, there's a high chance that she wouldn't just have been injured, but she might've been injured as well.
'At least he's still human.'
Surprisingly, Grey making the mistake of not using his wind element to aid him to win the battle quicker but using it to escape made Lord Dante finally heave a sigh of relief as this was the only ray of hope he could at least cling unto and accept that Grey was still human. An experienced master like him wouldn't have missed such an opportunity.
Lord Dante turned his gaze to Faction Leader Bertram, and he confirmed that Grey had indeed kept the knowledge of having six elements hidden from even his fellow Faction members.
'It looks like this kid really is in a hurry to increase his strength.'
When he made his investigations, he not only found out that Grey was Lucas' son, but he also found out that he was the boy the Gnomes placed a kill order on, and the rewards were actually quite enticing. Of course, he didn't have any plans of capturing a human genius and handing him over to the Gnomes for some mere profits. Not just him, but most of the top experts in the Aurora Continent shared the same thoughts. There were the few who had some issues with Grey and wouldn't mind handing him over if they could do it discreetly, that is. After all, publicly doing it will only attract public hate, and they'd be tagged as traitors.
'How could there be such a genius?'
So many thoughts ran through the head of Lord Dante after seeing Grey use his sixth element, and all these were within the space of a second or two. He had already made vague guesses about why Grey asked about a space elemental treasure, but then he thought about the darkness elemental treasure he also asked for the first time. When he thought about this, a strange possibility came to his head, but he didn't dare to even let it stay.
His gaze landed on Grey, and his powerful mental energy rushed out hiddenly as he tried to spy on Grey's body. Although he knew that this wasn't appropriate, he couldn't contain his curiosity. The possibility he thought of was if Grey had a seventh element, the darkness element. How could he keep calm with such thoughts?
