Hou Bing and Shi Lang were still standing over the old monk that was sprawled on the ground, and the other four monks were laying unconsciously on the ground in the distance. The Terran looked at these four people and started thinking. Hou Bing asked, “What are you thinking about?”
Shi Lang replied, “Simply speaking, I am thinking how did these guys manage to find me?”
Hou Bing was struck with the same question and asked, “Do you think there is an enemy?”
Shi Lang shrugged his shoulders and said,”Even if there is, they won’t have the chance to see Zen, and these monks didn’t come over with an army so it means they haven’t informed Zen about me at all. Although it is a small advantage, it still is an advantage. No?”
Hou Bing shrugged her shoulders and said, “I have no idea what translates as an advantage in that brain of yours. This means someone among so many people is a chaos empathizer. This can lead to a leak of plans.”
Shi Lang shook his head and said, “I have to head to the western continent and handle this alone, so no matter who it is I am not going to tell them anything. So the leak is impossible as well.”
Then he turned around and walked towards his people, and Hou Bing waved her hand and healed the injuries on the four monks. They were not the culprits but victims in this game started by Zen.
Shi Lang greeted his family and friends with a smile and Prince Beiming asked, “Lang, why didn’t you use the spear? You already have comprehended the spear intent right?”
Shi Lang nodded and replied, “Yes, I have comprehended spear intent, however, the spirit of the weapon is still in juvenile stages. It can’t handle the stress of a heavenly soldier. That is why, also, my Raksha is a bit too possessive of me.”
Raksha materialized beside him and snorted, “You are obsessed with me, and not the other way around.”
As the two of them were bickering, the mood lightened and Tian Long said, “Unity used to be such a good sword spirit, but now, all of that has changed.”
Shi Lang and Raksha turned to look at him and they asked at the same time, “If that was the case, why did you leave her behind in the world of beasts? Loser, just wanted to play the big man by flexing his Divination skills to me.”
Tian Long sensed a twitch developing on the corner of his lips and Raksha chuckled as she said, “Little dragon, actually you were correct, had it not been for you leaving Unity behind, Lang won’t have found you, and then that rustic monk Madala would have put a hole in your head, ending you. So you were smart to leave me behind so that Lang would eventually save you.”
Tian Long was embarrassed by the two of them without any disregard. Yet, he was hopeless when it came to avenging himself. They were stronger than him, and if he were to start a fight then his wife would abandon him as well.
…
The people gathered in the Asura Hall, they were discussing recent matters and Shi Lang did say a few things every now and then. After an hour, most of the people left the gathering hall, and Shi Lang looked at Shi Tao, and Commander Silence who were sitting beside him.
He smiled and said, “I didn’t expect that one day Asura Hall will become such a force that you will handle matters in all three continents.”
Shi Tao smiled and said, “It is because you laid a strong foundation. We have never come across someone who wants to betray the sect and none of the people are arrogant when they go outside as well. The in-house laws are so strong that they fear what would happen to them. Some people might say that it is a forceful way to enforce rules, but the hall members are not worried about them and thus we have become a good big family.”
Shi Lang nodded and said, “I hope this stays the same, otherwise in the future we might need to set up a shadow division to regulate the situation.”
Commander Silence nodded and said, “I am in complete agreement of this method.”
After a small talk, Shi Lang said, “I will be going to the western continent in a few days, till then gather the supplies, I will refine pills and forge armaments for you all.”
Shi Tao nodded and they got to work. Shi Lang then began a maniacal spree of producing pills and armors and weapons of tribulation and Dao level. Hao Mei and Yu Xeidi followed him to learn about the two skills, and he also taught Xiao Meng about the various aspects of a formation.
Shi Tao had inherited his skills of spirit manipulation and was now one of the best fighters in the eastern continent. However, all of them had a long way to reach the apex where they could even think about comparing themselves to the monster they had as their father, and master.
The few days stretched to one month, finally, Shi Lang decided to leave the eastern continent and while he did that, he also brought a fully equipped mecha with him.
The people had no idea why he was doing this, but Shi Lang had a hunch that it might be needed. So then the Terran set sail of his spirit vessel towards the west. He didn’t have to navigate much, Hou Bing was operating the vessel, and the speed of this thing left her in shock.
The distance between the two continents was so immense that even if they travelled at the speed of sound it would take them seven months to reach the shores. Yet, here they were in a vessel that was designed with the theories that were developed from the lower realm and this vessel was ten times faster than the speed of sound.
Hou Bing said, “Lang, your people are geniuses.”
Shi Lang chuckled and said, “Wait till you see a starship. You will know how terrifying the lower realm engineers can be.”
In the journey, he had nothing much to do. He was unable to comprehend anything new since he didn’t have much time to even think over such deep topics, so he began to modify the mech that he took with him. Hou Bing saw him carving out a lot of array patterns on the various panels of the mech and asked, “What are you doing?”
Shi Lang replied, “Hmm, nothing much, just thought of upgrading this piece of metal and tech to spirit tech. It would prove a good addition if I had to use it. The world will be shocked.”
Hou Bing looked at the arrays and asked, “You know dwarf runes?”
Shi Lang nodded and then he said, “They developed them recently right?”
Hou Bing nodded and then she saw the Terran wave his index finger in the void and a rune condensed from the spiritual energy. The energy radiating from this rune was so strong that if it fell on the ground, the entire ship would disintegrate.
The Terran said, “This is the first rune that I condensed to forge my Dao Weapon. The dwarves studied the same theory and they came up with this method to simplify the Dao Forging. No big deal.”
Hou Bing looked at him and asked, “Don’t you know that the King of Dwarves in this world is being hailed as the father of runes?”
Shi Lang clicked his tongue and said, “He cannot squeeze his balls to make dwarf babies? Father of runes. Let me handle that stupid bal donkey and then I will straighten out this king of midgets.”
Hou Bing chuckled and said, “I understand why they all fear you so much. You are vindictive.”
Shi Lang nodded and said, “Yes, they just want to save face because a human developed a theory that caused them to feel stupid and left behind. That is why they are developing alternative theories to protect their image among the people that they can forge with rune technique as well. I can make a better rune with my shit than they can with their wits. Fucking cave dwelling goblins.”
As he was ranting and modifying the mech, time passed quickly. After seven days, the ship slowed down, and they reached the shores of the western continent.
Shi Lang and Hou Bing stood up at the bow of the vessel and the two of them saw a place which looked very prosperous, but in the wind of this place, they detected the signs of death energy. This energy didn’t come from the people, but the trees and the land itself. Shi Lang sighed, he jumped off the vessel and landed on the ground softly and said, “If only this Supreme Monk had not been born, this place wouldn’t be dying.”
