Moments later, Weeping Soul's brows furrowed slightly as the translucent, crimson thread flew back into her vertical eye, following which Xi Tang's soul fragment disintegrated into nothingness.

"What did you see?" Xiaobai asked.

"He erased most of his own memories during his self-detonation, and the memories that are left are all very fragmented. However, the parts about Qu Lin are still quite clear, and it seems like Qu Lin isn't their only target," Weeping Soul replied.

"What do you mean by that?" Han Li asked.

"According to his memories, it seems like the Heavenly Court is currently searching for cultivators with special law powers to capture. As a Gold Devouring Immortal, Qu Lin possesses the very rare devouring law powers, and that's why they were onto him," Weeping Soul explained.

"Does he know why they're going after cultivators like this?" Han Li asked.

"I wasn't able to find the answer in his memories, so he was most likely just following orders as well," Weeping Soul replied.

A contemplative look appeared on Han Li's face upon hearing this.

Weeping Soul flipped a hand over to produce a black storage bracelet, which she refined momentarily before searching around inside to find the Soul Scattering Ghost Flute.

"Looks like you were meant to be mine," Weeping Soul murmured to herself as she examined the flute with a joyful expression.

All of a sudden, Lan Yan fell to her knees and said, "Fellow Daoist Han, Fellow Daoist Weeping Soul, I have something to ask of you."

Weeping Soul was rather startled by this, but Han Li already knew what request Lan Yan was going to make.

"You want Fellow Daoist Weeping Soul to help you save Lan Yuanzi, right?" he asked.

"Please help me, Fellow Daoist Weeping Soul... I'll do anything..." Lan Yan implored in a trembling voice as she kowtowed to the ground.

Weeping Soul's brows furrowed slightly as he turned to Han Li, who gave her a slight nod.

"I can help you, but I've never done anything like this before, so I can't guarantee success," Weeping Soul said.

Lan Yan raised her head to look at Weeping Soul with a hesitant expression, but a look of resolve then appeared in her eyes as she said, "As long as you're willing to help me, I'll be eternally grateful to you. As for whether you succeed or not, I'll leave that to fate."

"Alright, in that case, I can help you, but if my master needs anything from you in the future, you know what to do, right?" Weeping Soul replied.

"I'll do anything. Even if he wants my life, I'll give it up without any hesitation," Lan Yan promised in a solemn manner.

"Do you have any plans at the moment, Fellow Daoist Qu Lin?" Han Li asked.

"I came to the greater Golden Origin Immortal Region because I had sensed the aura of another Gold Devouring Immortal here. Even though there's been a slight hiccup, I'm still going to stick to my original plan and travel to Nine Origins City," Qu Lin replied.

"In that case, we have the same destination in mind. How about we go there together?" Han Li proposed.

A contemplative look appeared on Qu Lin's face upon hearing this, and Han Li made no effort to try and hurry him.

Given how cautious Qu Lin, the more he tried to convince him, the more suspicious he would become.

"Why invite him to travel with us? He doesn't look like a very good person to me," Xiaobai asked through voice transmission.

"The other Gold Devouring Immortal that he's referring to has to be Jin Tong, so if he's with us, it'll be far easier for us to track Jin Tong down," Han Li replied.

"Oh, so it's for Boss's sake. In that case, it's fine," Xiaobai replied with a nod.

"It would certainly be safer for all of us to travel together, but wouldn't it be more likely for us to be exposed traveling in a group like this? Also, Chi Meng now has a way to track me, are you not worried that you'll get swept up in my mess?" Qu Lin asked.

"Your concerns are unnecessary, Fellow Daoist Qu. If you agree to accompany me, then all you need to do is hide in my domain treasure, and I assure you that Chi Meng won't be able to track you," Han Li replied with a smile.

"In that case, I'll be in your care, Fellow Daoist Han," Qu Lin said.

"There are many arrays in my domain, so I'll have to ask you to stay in the bamboo pavilion inside and not go anywhere outside of that," Han Li said.

"That's fine by me," Qu Lin replied with a nod.

Han Li swept a sleeve through the air to conjure up a door of silver light, which led straight into the second floor of the newly constructed bamboo pavilion near the spirit medicine garden.

Qu Lin cupped his fist in a grateful salute, then stepped inside.

Upon entering the room, he looked around to discover that the area was abundant with spiritual qi, and there seemed to be restrictions set up around the pavilion.

These restrictions naturally weren't enough to contain him, but he wouldn't be able to break the restrictions without alerting Han Li, and given the power that Han Li had displayed, he wasn't confident in his chances in a battle.

With that in mind, he made his way over to the bed in the room and sat down with his legs crossed to meditate.

After closing the door of silver light, Han Li turned to Weeping Soul and asked, "Can you help Lan Yuanzi's soul in its current incomplete state?"

"I have a soul-nurturing secret technique that should work, but it's going to take a long time. Once his soul is fully restored, he can find another body to possess," Weeping Soul replied.

"Thank you, Fellow Daoist Weeping Soul," Lan Yan said as tears of joy welled up in her eyes.

"If you want to thank someone, then thank my master," Weeping Soul replied.

"Thank you, Fellow Daoist Han," Lan Yan hurriedly said as she extended a grateful bow.

Han Li was just about to respond when he suddenly sensed something, and he swept a sleeve through the air to conjure up the door of silver light once again, this one leading into the original bamboo pavilion in the Flower Branch domain.

"You can go in the domain with them, Weeping Soul. I'll leave Lan Yuanzi's soul to you," Han Li said.

Weeping Soul nodded in response before stepping through the door of light, followed by Lan Yan and Xiaobai.

Following their departure, Han Li closed the door of silver light, then put on his Reincarnation Palace mask, which projected a screen of crimson light in front of him.

An elegant figure appeared on the screen of light, and it was none other than Wyrm 3.

"You've finally gotten in touch with me, Fellow Daoist Wyrm 3," Han Li said with a faint smile.

"My apologies, I've been really busy lately... Oh? Could it be that you've already reached the Great Encompassment Stage?" Wyrm 3 asked in a surprised manner.

"How could you tell?" Han Li asked.

"I was taught a technique by a senior of mine that allows me to roughly gauge one's cultivation base according to certain signs," Wyrm 3 explained with a smile. "Where are you right now, Fellow Daoist Han?"

Han Li was a little hesitant to respond, given the warning that Wyrm 3 had previously issued to him, but after a brief hesitation, he decided to tell the truth.

"I've already entered the greater Golden Origin Immortal Region because I have some things to do here."

Wyrm 3 could sense Han Li's apprehension, and she smiled as she reassured, "That's fine. The situation in the greater Golden Origin Immortal Region has changed, so it's fine for you to be here."

Han Li raised an eyebrow upon hearing this. It sounded like she was also in the greater Golden Origin Immortal Region.

"Has the mission finally begun?" Han Li asked.

"That's right. Where are you in the greater Golden Origin Immortal Region right now? Would you be able to reach Nine Origins City in thirty years?" Wyrm 3 asked.

Han Li took a moment to calculate the distance between Gilded City and Nine Origins City, then nodded as he replied, "That shouldn't be a problem."

"Good. Also, now that you've reached the Great Encompassment Stage, you can have this," Wyrm 3 said as she made a hand seal, and a black mask appeared in the item teleportation array in front of Han Li.

The mask was identical in style to the mask that Han Li was currently wearing, and the alias was still the same as well.

"In our Reincarnation Palace, we have a hierarchy of masks that goes blue, azure, red, and black, in ascending order. Only those with black masks are considered to be true core members of our Reincarnation Palace," Wyrm 3 explained.

"Does that mean the Reincarnation Palace wants to instate me as a core member?" Han Li asked as he picked up the mask.

"That's right. Our palace master has heard much about you, and he's been meaning to summon you for an audience, but he's been too busy. However, he's always had the intention of instating you as a core member. Only those who possess exceptional aptitude and have made significant contributions to our Reincarnation Palace get the chance to be instated as core members, so this is an important matter.

“Given that you were able to reach the Great Encompassment Stage in such a short time, you're definitely not lacking in aptitude, but you are a little lacking in the contributions department. Our palace master was originally planning to promote you after the Nine Origins Temple mission, but given all of the powerful cultivators in the Nine Origins Temple, there's a chance that a crimson mask won't be able to conceal your aura properly, so he made an exception and instructed me to bring you this black mask early.

“With a black mask, your safety should be assured, and you'll officially be promoted after the mission," Wyrm 3 explained.

Han Li's heart stirred slightly upon hearing this.

The master of the Reincarnation Palace was an extremely renowned figure, and given that he was able to create a monolithic entity capable of opposing the Heavenly Court, there was a very good chance that he was a Dao Ancestor.

The thought of someone like that keeping tabs on him was a rather disconcerting thought for Han Li.

"You have my thanks, Fellow Daoist Wyrm 3, and please pass on my gratitude to the palace master," Han Li said as he examined the black mask with his spiritual sense, upon which his expression instantly lit up slightly.

Even though the black mask was clearly in his grasp, it was completely undetectable to his spiritual sense.

Sure enough, the black mask's aura concealment properties were far better than those of the crimson mask, and it was truly worthy of the core members of the Reincarnation Palace.
