While everyone else was looking on in astonishment, Lekima made a rapid string of hand seals before making a beckoning motion toward the second gate, and the crimson mist that had spilled out from within instantly came sweeping toward him.

Fox 3 immediately snapped back to his senses as well before hurriedly doing the same thing.

By the time everyone else realized what was happening, most of the crimson mist had already been claimed by the two of them, and the rest of the primordial beings were left to split what little remained in a dismayed fashion.

As soon as Fox 3 drew the crimson mist into his own body, his expression instantly changed drastically, and it seemed that he was in an immense amount of pain.

He channeled his bloodline power with all his might, doing everything in his power to stabilize his own internal condition, and only after a long while did everything return to normal at which point a look of alarm and concern appeared in his eyes as he thought to himself, It must be countless times more unbearable for Brother Han in there!

Lekima had taken in even more of the crimson mist than Fox 3, and even though he had fared much better, he was still astonished by the tremendous influx of violent power that had entered his body, and he was also beginning to fear for Han Li.

Meanwhile, Han Li was drifting unsteadily back and forth with the gusts of ferocious, crimson winds blowing through the space beyond the second gate.

It took quite some effort to stabilize himself, and he swept his gaze over his surroundings to discover that he was in a boundless, crimson space, with an extremely intense bloody odor permeating throughout.

Hanging above his head was an enormous, crimson sun that was radiating rays of crimson light in all directions, while down below was a series of massive, crimson vortexes that resembled almighty tornados, giving off bursts of chaotic and violent power.

Han Li was struck by a sense of familiarity upon sensing this power.

Back when he had suffered bloodline backlash in the Scalptia Spatial Domain, his bloodlines had clashed against each other with the same type of chaotic and destructive power as what was present in this space.

This was perhaps why his body had somehow felt a connection to this space, ultimately convincing him to venture through the second gate.

After some contemplation, Han Li cast these thoughts aside and sat down with his legs crossed, then channeled his Twelve Awakening Transformations and Heavenly Baleful Purgatory Arts in unison.

Twelve true spirit projections appeared in a circular formation behind him, then began revolving around his body.

Seemingly in response to this, the crimson vortexes down below instantly sped up drastically in their revolution, releasing corkscrew-shaped plumes of crimson mist that surged into the circle formed by the twelve true spirit projections.

All of a sudden, it was as if the twelve true spirit projections had sprung to life, and they began greedily devouring the crimson mist surging toward them.

Han Li felt a burning sensation in his back, as if molten lava had been injected into his body, and his blood was instantly set alight, causing him to let loose an involuntary roar.

Immediately thereafter, a burst of incredibly formidable bloodline power crashed its way into his body, inflicting bouts of indescribably intense agony upon him.

At the same time, his unopened profound acupoints began to loosen with this influx of power.

Han Li's eyes had turned bright red, but his complexion was deathly pale, and he was gritting his teeth with all his might as sweat poured down from his forehead, mixing together with the blood that was seeping out of the corners of his eyes.

......

Meanwhile, in the first crimson gate.

Even though Liu Le'er and the others had all entered through the same gate, each of them seemed to have been transported into an independent space, and none of them were able to see one another.

At this moment, Liu Le'er was situated on a massive, circular altar with nine enormous pillars around her, pillars that were etched with countless patterns that were giving off radiant, crimson light.

A gargantuan white fox was hovering high up in the air above her with its nine tails wrapped around the nine pillars, and rays of light were flowing down from its body and into the altar along the pillars.

At the center of the altar was a far smaller six-tailed white fox, which was laying flat against the ground with several crimson chains pierced through its body, rendering it completely immobile. Even so, it was still glowering intently up at the nine-tailed fox above with its teeth tightly clenched and its head held high.

The six-tailed fox was naturally none other than Liu Le'er, while the nine-tailed fox was a manifestation of the True Spirit King bloodline.

The latter possessed no sentience, yet Liu Le'er felt a type of strange bloodline connection between them, and this bloodline connection made the agony that she was being forced to endure not so unbearable.

As more and more bloodline power flowed into Liu Le'er's body through the altar, her aura began to gradually elevate, and a seventh tail began to appear beside the existing six.

......

Inside another space, there was no altar, but a giant mountain was suspended in mid-air.

The mountain was entirely crimson in color with a massive ape engraved upon it, and it was none other than the Giant Mountain Ape.

Beneath the mountain was Yuan Shanbai in his true form as a giant, white ape, and he was carrying the enormous mountain on his back as he trudged forward in a hunched over fashion.

The flesh on his shoulders had become mangled and bloody, while his fingers had also embedded themselves into the crimson mountain. It was as if his entire body had fused as one with the mountain, forcing him to trudge onward.

The bloodline power that Yuan Shanbai had to inherit was inside the crimson mountain, so he had to constantly trudge forward with it on his back without pause.

Only once the mountain had completely fused as one with his body would he have truly inherited the bloodline of the Giant Mountain Ape.

For the sake of his tribe and the primordial land, he had to persevere no matter what.

......

In another inky black space, there was no altar or mountain, only a winding stream that was flowing along peacefully.

A black-robed, middle-aged man and a white-robed child were seated next to each other on the bank of the creek, and both of them had their feet submerged in the creek with tranquil looks on their faces.

The black-robed man had a set of handsome facial features, the centerpiece of which was a golden mark that resembled a vertical eye on his glabella.

The child beside him was still quite childlike in appearance, but there was already some resemblance between the two, and it was clear that the child was going to grow into a very handsome young man himself.

"Xiao Bai is not a bad name," the man said with a warm smile.

"What's my real name, Father?" the child asked.

"You'll take after my surname of Mo, but I didn't get a chance to give you a name," the man replied in an apologetic manner, and the child was a little disappointed to hear this.

The man was none other than the Ink-Eyed Pixiu, Mo Yu, while the child was Xiao Bai in his human form.

"While I was traveling through the Immortal Realm, I fell in love with your mother, even though she was a human, and I hid my identity to be with her. Not long after we had you, we were attacked by Heavenly Court cultivators, and in order to ensure our safe return to the primordial land, your mother went to divert away a Dao Ancestor of the Heavenly Court... She never came back," Mo Yu sighed.

Xiao Bai was furious to hear this, and he asked, "Was my mother killed by the Heavenly Court because of me?"

"Your mother wasn't the only victim. Your Uncle Yuan Gang also came to our aid, and the two of us were evenly matched against three Heavenly Court Dao Ancestors. However, we were overwhelmed when Gu Huojin entered the fray," Mo Yu said with a hint of melancholy in his voice.

"What a dirty scoundrel! He must've attacked you after you were already exhausted from your battle against the other three Dao Ancestors!" Xiao Bai said in a furious manner.

"Gu Huojin's powers are unfathomable even among Dao Ancestors. Even if he hadn't taken advantage of the situation, Yuan Gang and I may not have been able to oppose him. Xiao Bai, you have to promise me not to seek revenge against him," Mo Yu implored in a serious manner.

Xiao Bai was naturally unwilling to make such a promise, but he could only nod in agreement to assuage his father's concerns.

"What happened after that, Father?"

"We had a battle for the ages, killing one of the three Heavenly Court Dao Ancestors and injuring another, so Gu Huojin was forced to intervene. Yuan Gang and I perished not long after his intervention, and I used all of my remaining power to seal most of my bloodline power in your body. I also sealed away all of your memories and also sealed your physical form so that you wouldn't be discovered," Mo Yu replied.

"No wonder I wasn't able to attain a human form before now," Xiao Bai mused with an enlightened expression.

"I had no choice but to do it. Having said that, it was quite nice to see you look the exact same as I remember even after all these years," Mo Yu said with a smile as he patted Xiao Bai on the head.

Jin Tong was also fond of patting Xiao Bai's head like this, but whenever she did this, he would always be struck by the urge to move his head away. However, it was a far more comforting experience coming from his father.

"Why was the Heavenly Court hunting us down?" Xiao Bai asked.

"They wanted to take advantage of our innate ability. Once we've opened our True Spirit Ink Eyes, we can see certain future trajectories that one's life is destined to take. In other words, we can predict the future, to an extent," Mo Yu explained.
