Chapter 906 Solidifying Power

The killing of Ulrich had the same effect on the enemy side as the death of Vega had on the vampire side.

Shock waves were sent throughout the Dracula forces as not only had Max killed Ulrich, but he had done so in broad daylight without bothering to destroy the entire planet.

He had waltzed in and out of a secure planet at will and there was nothing that Ulrich or the other werewolf forces could do about it.

Such ability was on par with what Dracula had and the thought that the enemy King was as powerful as their lord was a terrifying one.

The fight between Max and Ulrich had been so one-sided that from start to end Ulrich had been unable to land even a single strike on Max, however, Max obliterated him in battle.

lightsΝοvεl ?οm While the argument that Ulrich was not at his best did hold true, only those with a discerning eye could understand that even if Ulrich was at his best, not much would have changed in the end.

Max was in a league of his own and had the vampires sent him to face Ulrich instead of Vega, they would never have suffered the loss of a great warrior.

When Dracula was informed about this loss, he was infuriated, however, he knew better than looking for trouble when it came to Max Rajput as despite his agitation he could only swallow the pain and focus on planning a counter-attack.

With Ulrich's death, both sides had now lost their most capable commanders as it was only Max and Dracula left at the top. Although the battle was long from being concluded, the final battle had now boiled down to the showdown between these two behemoths, where the winner of this fight would decide the future of the vampire world.

Domestically, Max killing Ulrich helped cement his image as the new King immensely, as the relief it brought to the masses could not be quantified.

The death of Ulrich was the first major win for the vampires since this war against Dracula started and Max had achieved this monumental victory single-handedly which improved his prestige significantly.

He had already started to deliver on his promise to push-back against the oppressors and as a result the downtrodden vampires who had lost hope in this conflict, once again dared to believe that they could perhaps win under the leadership of a dynamic and young leader who walked the talk.

The lord's that were planning Max's downfall from the shadows had to temporarily suspend their ambitions to overthrow the king as with his newfound popularity and achievement, dethroning him would result in more backlash than what they could handle.

These nefarious forces instead chose to play the waiting game and wait for Max's popularity to take a hit before making a move as they did not have faith in Max's ability to actually defeat Dracula.

They were of the opinion that killing Ulrich was as far as Max could go and that the downfall of the vampire society was inevitable.

Little did they know that the victory against Ulrich was only a small feat for Max and that he was never going to look back from this moment onwards.

( Meanwhile Kartikeya )

" Mother? Why has dad entered secluded training? He never needed seclusion before, but now he won't see us? " Kartikeya asked in the most innocent and heartbroken voice ever as Ruby felt her heart ache.

Ever since the incident with Kremeth Jr, Rudra had made himself scarce, however, he had completely isolated himself since the last two days and had not provided anyone with a time-line of when he would emerge from his seclusion.

According to Naomi, he was showing signs of guilt and self-reflection which in his case meant that he was on the verge of making a big decision, however, despite her best attempts at trying to get through the thick male ego of her husband, in the end she failed at making him open up as Rudra went ahead with the isolation.

His isolation especially hit Kartikeya hard, as the poor boy began feeling like it was all his fault when in reality he was not the least bit at fault.

The celestials were pulling the strings in Rudra's case and there was nothing that mortals could do about it.

It was important to detach one's heart from things like familial bonds and sibling love before ascending to the celestial realm as in the end things like those were just burdens that prevented one from reaching their true potential.

As perfect as Rudra was, his love for family was the one thing that made him act irrationally and the perfect warrior had pointed that flaw out to him via his tease attack.

Whether or not Rudra became a greater being by denouncing his flaw, remained to be seen, however, for the first time ever, the thought had indeed crossed his mind.

( Meanwhile Odin )

After providing Rudra with the void seed, Odin had started preparing for the worst possible outcome of Rudra losing control and turning into a crazed killing machine.

If Rudra lost his mind and started indiscriminately destroying the universe then the only one who would benefit from such slaughter would be the perfect warrior as the source of the celestial's KP would be cut off.

To stop a terrifying being such as himself, Odin understood that he might have to showcase his forbidden tier9 strength that he had long relinquished and that he would need the necessary help from many of the universe's finest.

While he certainly hoped that things would not get to the point where he needed to confront and stop Rudra. He could only prepare for the worst while hoping for the best.
